China's National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday that the country's economy grew to the tune of 5.3 percent in the first three months of the year, ahead of economists' expectations. Manufacturing and infrastructure are fuelling that growth, while housing and domestic consumption are still a source of concern. Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is on a three-day visit to China, Berlin's top trading partner.

  • It was surprising that Janet Yellen did not say that Chinese people consumed too much soybeans, rice, pork etc… therefore, have driven up the price of those commodities and that American farmers have subsequently over-benefited from the Chinese over-consumption ! 😉🤣

  • U$AUK MSM.... 2023-7-16 , China's exports fell rapidly in the first half of the year, which may drag down the world economy. 2024-3-13 , China's factory exports are growing rapidly, causing jobs around the world to be threatened and may drag down the economic growth of other countries.

    • You're mixing the two. Gdp is good. But over capacity is an allegation a narrative. No country, consumes everything it produces. Large portions are exported. German car indutrsy exports 75%, Japan exports 60 % and Korea 50 %. Apple exports most if it's productions.. The oil producing countries export most of their output. Is that over capacity ? Ever been in business before? . If you have, then you should understand the principle of trade.

  • 1-3-2024 World Bank research shows that for every 1% point decline in China's gross domestic product (GDP), Singapore's GDP will fall by 1.3%, Malaysia's GDP will fall by 0.7%, and Indonesia's GDP will fall by 0.6%. China is an important locomotive and development partner in the region, so changes in global geopolitics have triggered regional shocks.

China's industrial output value accounts for approximately 30% of the world's total, which is the sum of the United States, Japan, and Germany. What qualifications do you have to compete with China? However, China's per capita carbon emissions are far below 50.
