Everyone seems to be dogging on Dr. Phil, if you actually listen to him outside of his TV show, on podcasts and interviews, he’s actually a pretty cool person and he has helped a lot of people. And he says it multiple times in his show, the reason he has people on his show besides, helping them is because he wants them to be a teaching tool for others. For years, I thought he was trying to exploit people and get ratings,I’m sure that was part of it, but for the most part, he genuinely is a decent person

I’m sure a lot of people read the headlines when they make news, but fail to actually do the research and see what happens afterwards. Dr. Phil has been sued by many teens when they become old enough because things maybe didn’t turn out their way, and I’m not saying it’s never happened to any of these programs, not victim blaming here, but you’re acting like Dr. Phil knew these places were havens for sexual assault when in reality, they had a higher success rate of turning teenagers around than they did hurting them

Black exploitation cinema from the 70s was all about profiting off of black actors portraying stories for black audiences so white guys could get rich. That’s exploitation.having guests on his show, tell their story and having him pay for all the expenses needed to get them better and hopefully people who watch the show can learn something from it and want to get help, that’s not exploitation

thanks Steve O for having Dr Phil i’m 60 in my 40s I suffered 6 Strokes one Major i had to learn how to Walk ,Talk, Eat , and just about everything else in my 40s and 50s it took me a few years to figure out that i can be proud of what Ive accomplished because i refused to be some Invalid laying in a bed having people doing everything i’m not going to say i don’t take the help when i need it and i do live in a Assisted Living Facility but i manage to be very independent on my Daily things like Hygeine , Toileting , getting dressed ,etc. Living in a Enviorment like i do also allows me to witness others that. just gave up on life under Similiar circumstances not that that’s my Issue or problem , it’s just a reminder as to what i have accomplished
