That was so sweet.

Only to put up a thumbnail that implies so, even if it's not true. So, so sweet.
These videos show how wonderful humans can be from the off, without even knowing a thing about each other. We need more of this in the world today.
If I didn't know any better, I would've thought they were friends. They were very friendly with each other, chatting as if they've already met before.
I was thinking the same. Restores your faith in humanity.
Yes, we do. Anna has a great personality and is friendly to all people.

@@inmyopinion302 WFM is a title won by competing in women's only tournament. There is generic chess tournament (open for both men and women) and women only chess tournament. There is no men only tournament. It has nothing to do with misogeny. Since way more men are interested in chess it may be pretty tough mentally for women to get into sport with so many men. Women's chess community is tiny. It's nice to have chess tournaments just for women to promote chess among them.
@@sxanep i personally think the concept of female only titles is too condescending. Only works as promotion for women until they learn what these titles are really about, and if you wanna see the best players, male or female, you have to look at those that have the grown-up titles without the W on them. If anything, they may have the opposite effect and be somewhat discouraging
@@lred1383 I believe so, too. It's as if it were inviting women to compete only against women in chess. Honestly, it could be more about the game in itself rather than who your opponent is or what is the exact rating of each player

I've never played chess seriously. I know all the rules. I understand tactics. I only know one opening. I don't know any endgames. I never got out of the beginner stage, but I think I could. It sure would be fun to play against Anna, or Andrea Botez, or Alex Botez, and have them recognize you as a beginner or weak player, and help you through it, coaching you like you are a little kid.
@@UTU49 what opening do y.ou know

For me, it's not about winning or losing, it's the experience of playing with Anna.
Right, It's not everyday you get to sit down and play with these people.
There's a very simple rule when playing chess against a woman you don't know. If her name is Anna, resign. There's no way an Anna who plays chess isn't at least a WFM

Anna - you are such a sweet person. Thank you for being kind to your lesser-skilled opponents. You had her beat by the 4th move and she didn't even have a clue. The fact that you gave her so many opportunities to defend and constantly overlooked them shows your true personality. I was a tournament player many years ago, but I quit in favor of grad school. I can't begin to say how gratifying it is to see so many talented women playing now. What does surprise me, though, is the across the board chat, especially from some of the men Anna plays! The script hasn't changed in half a century.

That was such a cute video. Anna was so nice, and those people really nice too. It looked like they were all having a good time. Just a really positive vibe overall. She has a very cute and friendly personality, and the other people did too. I honestly wish more people were like that.
