These two legends not only fought with obvious intent, but being that they are real friends in real life that that all went out the window when the fight started. They touched gloves at the beginning and end of each round and any time the fight was stopped and restarted. You gotta respect the absolute warrior in both guys, we’re lucky to be able to witness history❤

  • Buakaw's athleticism, strength, and conditioning are absolutely unreal. I think a lot of people don't realize just how high level this match was. It's crazy how fit and high-level both of these guys still are at their age. Most fighters would have become mere shells of their former selves long before reaching such an age, and long before having as many fights as either of them has.

    • 😂😂😂 of course, this is a semi-choreographed flow fight. They are in it to grab the money, do a show, don't injury themselves and not do a real fight. I mean, this is a semi-real fight and the result was so obviously obvious, that in a real fight, Buakaw would smash Saenchai. The weight/power difference is just to much, and the technique difference is not enough to compensate for the power difference. Plus they are both super defensive about not having gloves. With 10oz gloves, Saenchai might be a little more dangerous and balance things out a bit more. But still, Buakaw is just to big for Saenchai

It's honestly seen as a very good thing and what you try to achieve in training martial arts. In a fight with rules though, it's just watering it down. I would have loved to see sweeps included and a full Thai ruleset without the gloves, sweeps are honestly the most beautiful part of Muai Thai because of hot it plays in with clinches and taking advantage of an opponents mistakes or openings.

However, we all know Saenchai has never had a problem taking down guys bigger than him in the past because he always outsmarted and outskilled them. • It feels a bit odd to see Saenchai lose like this. However in more "thai style" oriented fights(which despite being special rules this was) Saenchai's lack of physicality against fellow thai's typically is the deciding factor. And that isn't due to lack of effort, he's as tough as they come, more of a result of his stature. Regardless he is still a master of finesse but against someone also highly skilled and bigger in Buakaw the result wasn't too surprising. • Yes thats true but buakaw is in really good shape and weighs 22 pounds more and he is no slouch and know all of saenchai's tricks after sparring with him for a LONG time. And this isnt a real fight so i wont be surprised to see a rematch where Buakaw is letting Saenchai do the work so Saenchai get the same score in the 2nd fight while they both laugh all the way to the bank....@@a.k2156

  • They are both such a one of a kind fighters, that their unmatched skills seem to have come to a stand still, making them look like they are taking it easy on each other and just dancing amongst their lethal blows, when in reality, they became like two magnets repelling each other's skill powers. A genuine one in a lifetime wonder of the human history, like David and Goliath from the Bible.

But size does matter when skills are leveled, reach matters, weight really really matters. Congratulations to Buakaw and awesome show of skills from Saenchai.

  • Good performance from both. Haven't expected them to go so hard. Both didn't spare each other. Yet, Buakaw swept Saenchai several times against the rules and still won. Saenchai is a beast just for surviving Buakaw's brutal strikes. Sadly, Saenchai couldn't make full use of his repertoire, possibly because he had too much respect for Buakaw's dangerous attacks.

As you can see buakaw have a lot of open looks to the face of saenchai but he didn't punch it on purpose, you can see the high respect on both fighters and buakaw playing aggressive to saenchai and controlling the phase, meanwhile saenchai is waiting for the right looks to hit him hard at once, and due to out of their primes you can see their easily gas out. There's nothing to prove on this fight both are incredible fighters and impressive career at their primes you're the greatest fighter that ever produce of thailand. HUGE RESPECT on you both ❤❤💪💪 🔥🔥
