The IS 500 F Sport Performance is getting a limited Blue Vector Edition from Lexus. This is just 1 of 150 that are being produced. On the outside you will find that eye catching Blue Vector color, flat black forged 19in wheels, FULL LED lighting and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside there is a full black interior with Blue Vector stitching throughout. Under the hood is a 5.0L V8 that is pumping out 472HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. I purchased a 2022 as a daily driver. 32K miles later, this thing still has my heart and my bank account.
I'm six months in, 20k smiles
Very nice! I got a 2023 IS 350 F Sport in June of 2023. I love it and I got the Ultrasonic Mica Blue 2.0 with white interior. It's such a stunning car. I was thinking about IS 500 but didn't find any with the choice I wanted and also it's quite a bit more than 350.
Wow I wonder what job to get to be able to have such car
still got my 2006 as my daily driver.. lol 140k later, its still purring like when i first got it. dont mind a new is500 though!
@@hung8582 don't. Ever. Sell it!
The blue stitching is a classy touch in the interior. I would have enjoyed seeing blue seat belts, too.
Great minds think a like!
Blue seat belts would look unreal in this! 💪
Dude really enjoyed your reviews of this special IS. Marketing team could learn from you for sure, and I second, where is my blue vector seat belt? You nailed it!
Lite colored seat belts get gross from skin, dirt and makeup. Too bad that they are only going to make 150 of these. That's a hot looking car.
thanks suzanne
I have always liked the IS 500 Lexus. Starting price of $60,000 is a good price. I would LOVE to own one. I hope Kris gets a lot of use out of this car.
Oh I am sure he will!
It's amazing. I have a 23 per edition, 6 months I'm, 20k miles... smiles thru and thru.
Hi @@RaitisRidesI love your videos!!when do you think you might have a video out on the 2024 is 350 Lexus please?

I have a 2018 Lexus and it is now an expensive lemon: Lexus cut support for all gps updates, telematics. Shame on them. You d be a fool to buy a Lexus considering how they don’t give a shit for their customers.
The first thing that occurs to me with this stunning IS500 is the blue vector color which echoes that RR Ghost you recently reviewed. The blue stitching with the interior really pops. The exhaust note with your on-throttle drive is just perfect! Awesome, Joe. Congrats to Chris for making this purchase.
My coworker got that exact same car. Same color. Im very happy for her! It's so cool looking in person. Its a smart choice. You can't beat it for the price and reliability.
Through it all, this is probably the only new vehicle on the road today that's built right. Thanks for bringing this legend to us Joe!! Happy New Year 🎊🎊🕛

Long time fan, first time commenter. I can say for a fact my favorite part is the long uncut descriptions. Personally it tells me that you have done your research and it makes me feel really confident on your reviews. Personally, I bought a 2019 golf gti rabbit and I did extensive research and you had a great review that helped me make my decision.
I saw this car at the local dealership when I took my IS 350 for 1st 6 month servicing. It's such a stunning car.
Joe, you're right it needs to have the matching blue seat belts to go with the blue stitching.
It really would have been the perfect touch
I did the seatbelts in my car as accent pieces to the interior, I'll shoot Kris the info. 👍
Own a 2023 IS 500 in atomic silver and couldn’t be happier. This car is perfect for daily driving and a joy when you wind out the V8. Looking forward to owning it for years to come!
Love that color. Same as my ES. Just bought my wife a new NX hybrid in Cloudburst Grey, also another nice color.

We are here for it. Was never a fan of the big Lexus grills, but this thing looks great! 💯
I’m so glad you came by and that you are digging it!
This vehicle reminds me of a 2007 Lexus IS F! It blews my mind everytime.
LOL "On Throttle" just as he's passing the 35mph sign :) - love the IS500. Almost bought one.
Lexus is in such a unique position. You have the best-looking exterior in the segment, the last V8 option in the segment, but the oldest interior in the segment. Don't get me wrong, Lexus quality is fantastic. Nothing rattles, nothing tears, or falls apart, but they need to update the screen and the control system to the new RX/TX/NX or even the ES system. These parts are all available working amazingly on other models, but it looks like they want to launch a brand new model for a full redesign soon.
My brother is on his second IS. He had a 250 and now a 2023 350 F Sport and loves them. I rather have daily pure Iron reliability in a Lexus than something thats a bit more powerful and better but unreliable. Its just me and my 42 yr old mind. Lexus reliability and premium is the way for me. Great vid 👍🏽👍🏽
on throttle will always be my favorite part of these videos 🤩🤩🤩🤩 nothing better than hearing those engines scream
That Blue With 5 Percent Tint Looks Amazing

Great revs !!!
Yeah it may be dated, and not yhe fastest but that engine roar at every startup does something to a man

Sure you have to look to find them and there's quicker sedans out there but and a big one. The quality is second to none. These are built at what's called one of Toyota's best factories and the resale value will make you smile. And that 5.0 is perfection.

Lexus may never rival the likes of Mercedes or BMW in terms of prestige and reputation amongst car enthusiasts, but they will always be that one brand that never sacrificed anything to attain what they've always stood for. LS400 to LFA to LC500 to this, they're just so classy and beautiful.
As a JDM 2006 IS 350 owner, this car is the pinnacle. Just a newer ISF, this thing is V8 perfection. Chris def needs to get on that exhaust mod tho, sounds so quiet

Great review and kudos to you for being the first to review the IS500 in Blue Vector. I also ended up buying this exact car (2024 IS 500 Blue Vector) last month and I have to say I was considering this vehicle for the last 6 month. When this colour came into the show room I was sold immediately and pulled the trigger. I think it was in the showroom for only a day. For those of you considering any IS500, these vehicles are hard to come by, especially in this colour (150 units). Prior to this I've owned 3 different BMW's (X5, 335 xdrive, and 435 xdrive) and while they're fun and great looking cars they do cost quite a bit to maintain and have a tendency to find issues. Note, I've never had engine problems with BMW's, it's all the other stuff the goes and cost an arm and leg to fix. The reason why I went with Lexus is because I've also owned a 2006 Lexus RX400H (purchased in 2010) and it's been bulletproof. This vehicle was used primarily as the family hauler and it's currently at 335,000 KM ( 208,000 miles) and has only gone routine maintenance. I bet you it will last another 5 years. In short, if you're comparing a Lexus IS 500 vs M340 or M440 and you're looking for a great daily driver that will be a long term vehicle then I think the IS 500 is the way to go. Yes, the M340 is slightly faster 0-60 but realistically is that why you're buying the car? I personally found the BMW M340 too firm and uncomfortable as a daily driver. And yes, you'll be spending more money on fuel as the IS isn't as fuel efficient. But, you'll be saving way more money with the IS in the long term as you'll be avoiding costly repairs and maintenance at the dealership. Not to mention I bet the IS500 can outlive the life of any BMW.
That is so wonderful! Thanks for sharing that great ownership input!
Manny, I have a question for you about your car's color and term being used calling it Blue Vector. I picked up my IS 500 yesterday and the dealership had it advertised as Blue Vector edition but my Mulrooney calls it Blue Flame and the key fobs had little stickers on them stating Blue Vector. One of the many videos I watched over the last couple weeks had what they called a Blue Vector Edition and it had a plaque between the seat heat\cool buttons on the center console stating the actual build number for the special build. That car with the plaque had a metallic blue paint in a very similar shade as my car which I am calling Blue Flame. My car seems to be what in the Toyota lineup was once used on an older Corolla and the newly released GR Corolla which is not a metallic flake paint job and at this point I am confused what car color I have...
I found the answer to this and I had it wrong. I mixed up the Launch Edition with the plaque and this special release which does not get a plaque. Also, the release is calling this color Blue Vector and the only way you're going to get it is buy one of the 150 or a repaint 😛.
As someone who daily’s an IS 200t,I would LOVE to own this 😭. I’m in love with the 500 and corvettes. It’s literally the exact same car as mine but with a GREAT NA V8
Diggin that happy blue🎉
It really pops
I got myself an Ultra White IS 500, this car is one of it's kind. The last of the Lexus V8s which are naturally aspirated pure clean power and bonus you get an LSD. The engine is so full of character, I wish there were auto mirrors and assisted trunk with real semi-aniline leather seats. Apart from that this is the best of the IS. Perhaps 2024 might be the last model year for this car, get it before it becomes another GS F.
Agreed. Other items Soft close doors Rear sunshade Heads up display Of course Manual Option
Yes, I was lucky to find my Ultra White IS 500 last April and it is a great overall car considering the four usable seats that fold down along with the usable trunk. I echo the sentiment about auto mirrors but no biggie. At the end of the day, it is a sleeper and great daily driver and can knock out 28mpg at 70 mph on cruise. And all the while cranking a good CD on the stereo. If you ever have to get out of the way, just push the pedal.
Cool Lexus IS500 F Sport Performance Blue Vector Edition I think that you don't see a ton of these on the street but I feel like these are quite a dandy.

@@RaitisRides Yeah you don't see millions of these on the road therefore, these are kinda collector's items so they I mean Lexus won't make thousands of these. These are not sold to the masses.

the 2.5 was shit sadly, underpowered and never had the lexus reliability at higher miles
That is so really great David! Thank you for taking for ride with me!
@@alpe6228 Underpowered, the GPS would freeze up mid-drive and the fake leather wore prematurely in some spots. It didn't live up to the Lexus standards. I also had a 2007 ES 350. That was a great car. Never had any issues, only required regular maintenance and it went like hell when I stomped on the pedal.

I really like the IS500, but it is too expensive. Crazy mark ups around my area. The sun roof is the least of my priorities in a car. I couldn't care less for a sun roof because I rarely ever use it to begin with. I sometimes use it on like long road trips, but thats about it. Was looking at sports cars and I ended up getting a GR86 instead of this because the IS500 was insanely expensive. I enjoyed the review tons.
Sunroof is like a must for me, I use mine just about every day that it's not raining or super cold. Sometimes I just turn the heat on and still open the roof 😅. But that's fair, everyone has their likes and dislikes.
i never used mine…..so in my current i got it without….hsve missed it… i don’t like dust in my car❤
Have gone back & forth about these; hava a '16 IS350 RWD and love it. Had a short 'test drive' several months ago in a 500 and was a little underwhelmed, esp since it would be $45K + my car. The V6 has a nice, tuned sound that I didn't appreciate in the V8, and the 350 felt more sprightly. Still torn.....hot car. The automotive press and even some owners on the forums are critical of the transmission responsiveness. Did you find the auto trans lacking?
This color is insane !! This is one of about 5 cars I got on my list for my next car but I’m not getting another car until 2026 when I finish college a gift to myself

I love the way you think !
On what planet is this entire car not outdated. You have got to be kidding.
Very well said, not overdone with expensive repairs that are destined to fail in the future. It's not a dinosaur 🦖, it's tried and true.
Yes the design is dated…..this style has been out since the 14’ models. Some cars started with the same dash style in 13’.
@@d_2jzThe basic car goes back to 2006 and the engine 2008. Dated AF.
That is a nice looking engine compared to most of today's newer cars with giant plastic pieces covering everything!

Oh wee! The sound of that engine makes me moist! But I love the balance of performance vs daily driver. I'm not a tech person, so I appreciate the buttons. Yes, the inside is dated but in a good way. I do wish it had the wireless charging, tho.
