2022 Dodge Charger Jailbreak vs CT5-V Blackwing vs Lexus IS 500 // With CHRIS HARRIS + DRAG RACE

2022 ж. 2 Шіл.
4 166 568 Рет қаралды

The 2022 Dodge Charger Jailbreak ($106,810 in Canada, $87,595 in the US), the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing ($87,798, $83,995) and the 2022 Lexus IS500 ($77,650, $67,400) are prepped and ready for a day at the Throttle House test track - with special guest Chris Harris! Since he has never been behind the wheel of a Hellcat, it seems fitting that he will be championing the Jailbreak. Thomas is in the only available manual of the group, the supercharged CT5-V Blackwing, and James is representing snarling naturally aspirated V8s with the Lexus IS500. Watch as the guys drag race, track test, and get a little sideways in these three endangered species of motor vehicle. We hope you enjoy this very special episode! Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE!
A huge thank you to Matt for lending us his Blackwing, Dave for driving it out, and Val, Shawn, Matt and the entire Leggat team for saving the day.
And to Downsview Place Auto Group for their Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak
And to Chris, Edward, Cliff and the Collecting Cars team for joining in on the fun.
And to Jeremy Tedes, for his continued unwavering support of our adventures.
And to Michelin Canada, for replacing tires. Check out their channel here! / michelincanada

  • Throttle House is fast becoming the gold standard of independent youtube auto channels. The fact that Chris Harris, who is a serious OG whom I never fail to hit play on when one of his videos pop up, is spending a day hooning around in maple land with you two, is proof positive that the world of motoring journalists are taking you both quite seriously. The key, beyond the amazing evolution of your production team's work, is the fact that despite the monstrous channel growth, you aren't taking yourselves too seriously. Make sure never to lose that. That is how Clarkson, May and Hammond sent TG into the stratosphere. Well done, gents!

But the suspension is double wishbone front with 5-link rear, which is more sophisticated than what the much newer Mustang and Camaro have (those are both strut cars). (no it's not used or been in a accident) i have always owned chevy's and fords and never seen these type of flaws, imperfections, and just flat out shitty manufacturing. dodge has been just slapping vehicles together for years in the easiest and cheapest way possible but people still buy them. for years and years using shitty materials for the dash. i have seen soooooo many of their vehicles dash warp and the a/c vents all fall out and be so warped you could not put them back in. Dodge ignored this for years and kept using the same materials regardless of the complaints and knowing of the issue. All so offered not help to the people that this was happening to because by the time this happens, well out of warranty. it only takes me one time (THIS TIME ). • The part about the jailbreak having not special tires applies to all the charger trims. Dodge not only under tires for the size but completely wrong compounds. Everyone always says you need wider to get these going but I decided to just switch to a better compound and I shaved over half a second off the 0-60.

BMW M5 CS - 1:28.76 This was around Willow Springs. Not to mention, Willow Springs is NOT a Handling Circuit with More corners. It's more of a Speedway with Long Corners.
