Hey You There and Welcome to Supreme Commander Forged Alliance Forever, where Giant Mechs build tools of destruction and throw them at each other in hopes of destroying the other.
Are 2 Yolos and a Paragon enough to win a game? Almost everyone would say yes. It is a given. No, but the likelihood of a team winning against 2 Yolos and a Paragon: slim to none.

    • Which is one of the reasons why I wanted to cast it.

  • There is a shortcut to select all fighters, I would highly recommend looking into it :) It makes selecting multiple races of fighters a breeze :)

    • I will look for it. Thank you for the tip. It will also help my own playing as well.

  • Gotta go team 1 at 22 min. Orb won the southwest pond and I think will wind up being the MVP. Not a very brave prediction because he's Team 1's highest rated player. Great cast again. They are better every time!! I could watch these matches all day.

    • The safe bet is not a bad option. Thank you! Its good to know they are getting better. Sometimes I get done with a cast and feel like I could have done better, but it's good to hear that they are good, and they have been getting better. Thank you.

    • Almost. But almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

  • gotta say those early Yolo shots really HAD to go for bases not frontline... It gave team 1 too much time to spam SMD's and use their eco to stay in the game

    • Sometimes you have to go for the riskier play and not the same one because the riskier play will end up giving up the safer situation in the long run. Sometimes.

    • On the other hand, they really did need to use the yolos for point defense because they didn't have the ground to hold it back. If they went after infrastructure, the ground would have steam rolled them. The main problem bottom team had was not seeing the mavor until after it started shooting. A few in-flight mavor shells on the paragon is all they needed to turn the tide. The other problem they had was just not having enough build power to start spamming out experimentals after the paragon finished construction.

    • It was good to target the frontline. 99% of team 1's bases were already covered in plenty of SMD's and the yolo reloads quick enough that saving their front line from being run over is worth more than using up 2 anti-nuke missiles while having your own bases get destroyed and causing you to lose even more map control. If anything, they should've kept up with the front line nuking, edge nuking out the smds since the yolo nuke explosion outranged SMD defense, and then followed up their nukes with air and land forces.

  • I usually skip the first 5 minutes of video because I don't really care about player names or whether they opened with air factory or land factory. It really doesn't matter. I think it would be more worthwhile to spend that 5 minutes talking about that tactical terrain of a map and tactical opportunities we might look for players to take advantage of. The only other really relevant parts for early player intros might be whether a player is going to be focusing on air control or eco. As far as units go, I think calling them by their role is more useful than trying to remember their name. Call it out as a T1 bomber, T2 bomber, or T3 bomber, or T4 bomber. T2 AA / T2 Flak, or T3 AA, etc. T2 arty, T3 arty, rapid fire arty, etc. T2 shield gen, T3 shield gen, etc. The faction type a unit belongs to doesn't really matter, the differences are mostly window dressing.

    • Those are valid critics and advice. I will try to not focus super heavily on the names of all the units, but on their roles.

      @StrategicLaunch@StrategicLaunch3 ай бұрын
    • @slayemin The faction differences can be a huge difference though. For example, a UEF T3 heavy assault unit and an Aeon T3 heavy assault unit are completely different in their effectiveness against each other, experimentals and against T2 spam, and niether of them have the more diverse range of capabilities of the Cybran and Seraphim T3 assault units. Same goes for the T2 assault units, T2 bomber/fighters, T2/T3 gunships, T2/T3 navy, T2 point defenses, T2/T3 shields, especially in the Cybran's case for most of those. Now, I do agree that you don't have to care too much about memorizing the in-game lore names for every unit (especially the Seraphim), but faction differences are still useful to know 80% of the time.
