  • DualEx should make like a shed style tiny house or workshop. With his skills and knowledge. He can sell it when he's done or keep it for his personal use. That would be another fun tiny home series.

    @Jay-hm4yy@Jay-hm4yy2 жыл бұрын
    • That sounds like a great idea and if he made it on wheels then he could drive it around to work on other projects... because I know a ton of us would love him to help our builds! Plus then he wouldn't have to renting out that storage area we've seen him building out of. Though the way he uses it it seems convenient, leaves the mess/sound away from his home/apt/RV/truck.

  • Range hoods don’t necessarily need to vent outside, some are designed to recirculate back into the rv/house after going through a charcoal filter. The charcoal filters out the smoke/grease and any smells. Not sure if this range hood has that feature but that could explain why there’s no vent outside.

    @codygeisser5028@codygeisser50282 жыл бұрын
    • In a house a range hood doesn’t need to vent outside but if I had a stove using propane or LP which produces products of combustion as well as grease and heat, I’d want it to vent to the outside. In this small space I’d really want it to be venting outside.

      @nancydenmark1614@nancydenmark16142 жыл бұрын
    • @@nancydenmark1614 I too would want it venting outside, I think it’s safer, but as far as “code”, it doesn’t need to

    • He's probably looking for the ideal way to do it, the way he would like it. There's usually a fast way or a cheap way, and then there's a right way, IMO.

    • @@codygeisser5028 you’re right about the code in a house unless the appliance manufacturer(think Jennaire) requires it. I just retired after 25+years of being an inspector so these things get my attention, lol.

  • About the range hoods: I believe the cheaper ones aren't meant to actually vent the fumes out and instead catch and filter the greasy smoke and steam to keep it from sticking to everything in the area. If it was just a filter it would have a little vent on the front of it but I think those are usually just in apartments.
