  • When they're talking about the recruitment shortfalls there's a lot of veterans, like myself, who got out in the past 20 years and when you're asked about your service you give an honest answer. No one wants to join when they fail to take care of you, treat you with dignity and they need to look in the mirror and make cultural changes from the top down. They have no one to blame but themselves.

He despises military people while stealing their valor. How is a 5 times draft dodger revered by real heros? It's beyond me. Republicans want to cut benefits - simple fact.

  • I remember going through NCO school in the Army, and during a lesson on the military's role in the political process, our instructor told us that the US Military is strictly apolitical and impartial to the political process, nonetheless; he also said the US military is the steward of the Constitution and democracy. Although we swore allegiance to the President, our true mandate was to protect and defend the US Constitution and its democratic values. When we asked him to clarify what he meant by "the US Military is the steward of the Constitution and democracy," he paused, thought for a second, and then said, "Let me put it this way: although the US Military has no say in the political process of the country, when we raised our right hand, we swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and as leaders, we have to be ready to do what we have to, to uphold that oath"... we all looked at each other knowing fully well what he meant. I'm glad this train of thought goes all the way to the top Military leadership as well.

The GOP do not care about the live's of military families. I honestly don't think most men and women are designed to be away for their families for 10-12 years. That toll is too big. We did not want a draft. So those who do no service never even notice that we have been at war for thirty years. And now we have a cult of rule breakers and entitled people mixed in with people who love crazy consiracy theories that have been fed by fox and such. Of course , the same could be about the police. Some people do sacrifice for their country either as a fire fighter , soldier or police officer. Now even doctors and teachers are being disrespected by the GOP, so we have the GOP has totally gone off the rails.

It is fairly general information that the U.S. military needs personnel who have advanced foreign language education so no need to show the entire proper process... or reveal too much information that may be seen and may seem sensitive information to interested parties... They were too busy working against Trump and MAGA that they missed their main reasons for being, the only reason for them being. They missed 9/11 in a very similar fashion, then suddenly we had the Patriot act and they tripled their budgets and started 2 major wars and a freedom deleting war on terror.. DC is the main enemy of the US Constitution, the free citizens of the USA, DC is the biggest threat to Freedom itself. They will be asking for hundreds of billions more to protect Israelis borders while our borders go unprotected, they will sneak another 100 billion into the UKraine disaster while Hawaii lost over a thousand citizens burned in a fire while the local police stopped them from escaping. • I wish they asked Milley what the political/strategic end state is for Ukraine? What does victory look like? The destruction of Russia or just repelling its forces from Ukrainian borders? What's the end game?

    @CatsAgainstCommunism@CatsAgainstCommunism7 ай бұрын
    • lol its the same end game as during the cold war - deplete their resources with as little of ours as possible - so they have less to bother us with it definitely is not the destruction or collapse of russia [last thing we want is to destabilize the command structure - they got way too many nukes lol - we need someone in charge who understands nuclear deterrence] - it's a slow bleed --- a forever war or a humiliating withdrawal

    • The end will involve the signing of a treaty once the Western powers recognize the inevitable and stop supplying Ukraine with weapons. The destruction of Russia would involve a nuclear exchange that would render victory pointless.
