Because Oscar happen every year but this situation is once in a life time thing.

Ali is now a icon, the status of a person never forgotten
This was a well-deserved Oscar. She showed absolutely incredible acting with only 5 minutes and 40 seconds of screen time and won an Oscar for it. The range she displayed was jaw-dropping. And it still holds the record for the shortest performance in history to win an Oscar. Congrats to Beatrice!
Stallone was like a child meeting his hero, how cool 😄
Sly handled this impromptu appearance very, very well- great job by both champs on live t.v.
Yeah
@MUFC That's all well and good, but Americans don't care about soccer. Ali was a legend, and Sylvester Stallone was and is one of America's most popular actors.
Carl is ali Sly is wepner
@MUFC ....o..okay? that literally has nothing to do with the video, this is a oscar award video with sylvester stallone and muhumad ali, and your talking about football, im a football fan but i think you commented on the wrong video
"A 100% certified legend", there's no better way to put it, that's what Ali is!

Beatrice Straight always had such an aura of elegance about her, wish we had seen her more in films. Beautiful speech.
Absolutely. Her mother was a Whitney, so she came from aristocratic stock. Her carriage oozed gentility; she couldn’t help it. What a fabulous actor she was as well.
A real life cousin of Beatrice Straight I read somewhere was Gloria Vanderbilt, who just passed away only around 3 years ago at the age of 95.
@@michaelverbakel7632 I never knew that, but it makes sense, since the Vanderbilts and Whitneys intermarried.

yet the respect between Ali and Stallone was genuine
Well that’s was a preparation for today!!!! We were in saccharine dose, in those days so as to be prepared for what is today?
Yep no political crap.
Stallone might be just an actor, but he did learn to box like a pro for Rocky
Shaw Lamar. Yes he learn from Muhammad Ali joe Frazier and George foreman.
One of the best things about Ali, he steals the show no matter what it's about, where it is in the world and how big or important people around him are. That's greatness to say the least
"I'm the REAL Apollo Creed!" That just killed me! God bless him.
He actually is.
Bless muhhamed ali
That’s the thing. Ali IS Apollo Creed. The character was based on him. Rocky was based on Chuck Werner, Joe Frazier, Jake LaMotta and Rocky Marciano
Hey...Chuck Wepner could confirm if anybody doubted "The Greatest"
Yes, he is.
This video is about Beatrice but everyone is really here for Stallone and Ali.

How could anyone not love this guy.. He really was the Greatest..
Imagine, how Sylvester felt in these times. Year before 1977 Oscars he was poor and almost homeless. And year later he was at Oscars, not poor, not homeless, but actor on the rise who doesnt need to worry about future. It had to be great feeling back then.
The competition for best supporting actress was heated. Back when Hollywood produced MOVIES!
