    • @@kendrickdinger He's gone full circle. Sly was NOT a humble guy at his apex. He'd admit it too. Dude was a full fledged egomaniac. But life does something it invariably does to all of us at some point...it knocked him down a few pegs. And losing his son and being lucky enough to find a second (maybe third) act as an actor AND have a wife like Jennifer who is by all accounts an amazing woman...you can't help but become humbled. This was a wonderful moment.

  • He should've won awards for Rocky Balboa. That scene where he's explaining to Paulie in the meat fridge about "the beast inside", and his own performance during that scene, deserves an Oscar in and of itself. This man and stumble-bump has meant so much to people for a reason, and that reason is REAL HEART. Very few people can write scenes like this, but to do it numerous times in one lifetime of movies is damn near impossible.

Beneath the fancy suits and the glitter lies an invincible Rocky in all, and I think many of the people there who started out from humble backgrounds and made their dream come true can totally relate to such a mythical character as Rocky's. A true hero is the one who inspires others to transcend and achieve their dreams, and I bet most of the people who appeared in the clips applauding him know damn well what a long road it is to victory and how much persistence and commitment it takes to achieve anything worthwhile. Stallone, as Rocky, is the embodiment of a true fighter.
