I didn't hear Stallone's speech. As soon as the Rocky music came on I jumped off my couch and started jogging around my neighborhood 🥊🏃🏻
lmfao
Lmao!!!!!!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahhaahahahah
Do the kids around you house following you? If they not you will lose the fight 😂 peace
Sammmess😂😂😂
"But most of all I want to thank my imaginary friend Rocky Balboa for being the best friend I ever had!" - Got me.
I was like: 😐😑😭 that was beautiful!
That reminded me of Boris Karloff. Like Sly portraying Rocky that made stardom, Boris Karloff's character the Frankenstein Monster was known for being his best friend.
😀😳☹️😢😭😎👍💯
In the soul
Right?! 😩
Is he surprised that everyone loves him? He is a walking legend. When you have your own theme song, you must've done something.
He just seems like a really humble guy even with all the incredible things he’s done and accomplished
@IRIDESCENT MOON some have, i am 16 and a MASSIVE Rambo and Rocky fan
@IRIDESCENT MOON most have
@@kendrickdinger He's gone full circle. Sly was NOT a humble guy at his apex. He'd admit it too. Dude was a full fledged egomaniac. But life does something it invariably does to all of us at some point...it knocked him down a few pegs. And losing his son and being lucky enough to find a second (maybe third) act as an actor AND have a wife like Jennifer who is by all accounts an amazing woman...you can't help but become humbled. This was a wonderful moment.
@@manuginobilisbaldspot424 I mean he WAS the biggest actor in Hollywood in his prime and keep in mind he was from the streets before he made it big with Rocky so it’s natural for that success to go to his head, but thankfully he’s grown and has become humble as he’s aged and has wisdom.
I love that he thanks Rocky Balboa himself at the end. You can tell how much that particular character means to him. He’s his own fictional counterpart in life.
He thanked everyone but Michael b Jordan
@@CitySwift and?
@@CitySwift Michael is his partner. He doesn't need to thank him, they earned it together.
@@anwzdewan6969 👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾👍🏾
@@CitySwift And Ryan Coogler. MBJ, although the lead, was another cast member, a peer, so the need to thank him is debatable. But the director? who doesn't thank their director and then procedes to thank a bunch of producers.
Yo Adrian.. I did it!!
Maiden Eddie I was thinking the same thing
Yo Jennifer, i did it!
Maiden Eddie #4 Adrian
Lols,we're old
Nice one....👍
The faces of Tarantino, Jonah Hill & Will Smith, says it all. ❤
The whole dam place knew it was long overdue ❤️
Kurt Russell was special. It's beautiful to see Cash clapping for Tango.
Will Smith said in his KZhead channel he’s always admired Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger
My favorite was Sir Patrick Stewart.
@@rossdiamondthief6627 every actor admire those 2 they were heavyweights in their time
To hear the Rocky theme song come on during this broadcast was easily one of the greatest moments in Golden Globes history BY FAR!!
because most of the young audience grew up with his legendary productions of Rocky...
Absolutely!! 👌
I think the reason why so many people are happy is because Sylvester Stallone was a childhood hero for many of us.
He got me through a lot of weak times
Just cause he’s muscled he does a lot of action movies. People forget that he is a genuinely intelligent, dedicated, skilled actor and Oscar winning writer who has been an icon in his field for decades. He deserved every moment of this triumph.
We definitely won't forget it.. a gifted and talented man he is..
Strongly agreed... Especially, he displayed very strong acting performance in Cop land
@Ryan Akwar yeah ok but it won best film.
He is a amazing guy
He's also pretty funny. Somehow that seems to get overlooked.
An immediate standing ovation, heartfelt applause, and smiles of pure joy throughout the audience. Says it all.
In addition to the Rocky Theme is the icing on the cake!
@J not always easy and he earned it
I love how the camera pans around showing all those people, as if this has been one long journey for Sylvester Stallone to get the Golden Globe, and the camera is pretty much saying “we’ve come a long way.”
I think it's because Sly has always put entertaining the audience above impressing his peers. Everyone is happy when someone like that wins.
I just love him.
He’s the American dream personified. When no one would cast him, he wrote his own movie, Rocky. When they tried to buy him off so they could cast someone else, and despite the fact that he was broke, he bet on himself, and gave us one of the most inspirational and beloved film characters of all time.
He should've won awards for Rocky Balboa. That scene where he's explaining to Paulie in the meat fridge about "the beast inside", and his own performance during that scene, deserves an Oscar in and of itself. This man and stumble-bump has meant so much to people for a reason, and that reason is REAL HEART. Very few people can write scenes like this, but to do it numerous times in one lifetime of movies is damn near impossible.
He's got a great pen, he's a GREAT action director and a brilliant actor, Samaritan was mediocre at best, but the way he delivered his last few lines was some of the best acting I've ever seen. Feeling everything the character did to that point in a few lines, rare talent, a walking legend.
SO TRUE! Rocky 6 may not have been the best ROcky film but it was his best acting performance. Oscar material for sure!
He won an Oscar in 1977 for the original film. kzhead.info/sun/prmrg9ZufpNsnGg/bejne.html
I think Rocky 6 WAS one of the best Rocky films. And that's coming from someone who Screamed "NO! STOP DESTROYING MY CHILHOOD AND LET IT LIE!" when I first heard the chatter
That speech to his son was truth
i love how everyone stands up for this living legend
He deserves an oscar for creed
Everyone loves Sly
This was about time. Fuckin disgrace he didn’t win anything for his role as Rocky. Best character ever.
He did get a statue in Philadephia. That is something.
Didn't he win a screenwriting Oscar for it?
Right?! Bout damn time someone noticed his talent!
Xc Lee Zee i know!!!
Ugh 😩 I agree like wtf , took them so long.
You can see everyone in the audience is truly happy for him. A true legend.
He deserves the world
He does but u can't get any subs 🖕🏿
Ehhhhhh no.
Especially for all the money he made for Hollywood.

Sylvest Stallone is a legend
WAusJackBauer an unlikely man who's transcended the generations.
More like an ICON
He is. Karma want him win here. It's clear the excitement is on him when the candidates are announced. And "Gonna Fly Now" soundtrack going with his introduction is spectacular. 0:46
Humble, salt of the earth, proper good soul. A man whose success you can only celebrate
WAusJackBauer thats right men
Goosebumps when the Rocky theme played...Love Sly!!
Rehan Elahi IKR!!
Rehan Elahi I was hoping for Eye of the tiger
I agree ....he wins all the award and the shitty Oscars give it to a guy with 3 films to his fucking name and the movie sucked and Creed grossed 200 million and just like they gave Paul Newman his Oscar in 86 ....Give Sly his due ...fuck Mark Rydell ......Sly deserved it !
Rehan Elahi when the Rocky theme played and Sylvester gave that look, I couldn’t help but smile and want to clap with everybody else.
Goosebumps when into active mode
He thanked Rocky!! That broke my heart in a million pieces. Rocky exists!!!
Of course rocky exists he’s the goat of the goat
They all look so proud of him. Beneath the fancy suits and the glitter lies an invincible Rocky in all, and I think many of the people there who started out from humble backgrounds and made their dream come true can totally relate to such a mythical character as Rocky's. A true hero is the one who inspires others to transcend and achieve their dreams, and I bet most of the people who appeared in the clips applauding him know damn well what a long road it is to victory and how much persistence and commitment it takes to achieve anything worthwhile. Stallone, as Rocky, is the embodiment of a true fighter.
♥️
Vicky, you wrote that so eloquently! KUDOS!
How can you hate Sly man. He’s so humble, so down-to-earth and he’s just a lovable guy.
So down to earth. I think Joe Rogan mentioned one time sly showed up unannounced at a comedy club just to hang out or something. Then some guy tried to heckle him and sly yells back, "is that you mom? I didn't know you were here."
You are sooooo right.
Humble, down to earth and lovable guy he certainly is not,try ignorant prick instead!
I never met him personally, but he seems to be a good person and he is a great actor, we should not judge people we don't even know...
@@archie592 please go away
He should have shouted "Yo Adrian I did it!"
THIS^^^. Got me. The tears I kept holding back while watching the video came down pouring.

Hell yes that would of been fucking hysterical. Had the entire audience in stiches.
LMAO
I hate corniness in general but I would have loved that in this instance. lol
Oh my God!! As soon as I hear the Rocky anthem I just got so emotional and hyped!! He deserved that Golde Globe a long time ago!!
The way he stepped up on the stage. Such a powerhouse.
“I am the sum total of everyone I ever met.” True. Humble. Will always love Sly.
very profound words

@@Anaksunamen999 Yep, I agree.
Sly was an important part of my life. I loved the Rocky, Rambo and all the other action movies Stallone made. I wanna thank him for that. Stallone has been an important part of my life and I hope he knows that his movies made a difference. Thanks SLY!
it really does it comes from his heart
You could just tell Will Smith loved that too
Nick Sacco right? Everyone did. It’s not everyday you see an actor receive an award for a character they created. If it weren’t for Rocky who knows where Stallone would be. He was deserving of the Oscar nomination, and to many maybe even deserving of winning it that year.
Philadelphia Pride
That's not really fair. They are human beings like the rest of us. Sure, some forget where they came from and some become greedy or worse... but there are also people in showbiz and Hollywood who try to avoid losing their humanity and are still decent people.
Nick Sacco Will had a rap video back in the day called "I think I could beat Mike Tyson" where did his version of the Rocky montage and even ran up the Art Museum steps like Rocky. That character means more to Philly natives like Will than anyone else. When Stallone is in Philly, they call him Rocky like that's a real person.it's still a phenomenon after all these years
RPG 808 troll!!
I swear I’m gonna bawl like a bitch when Stallone passes away😭 this man’s been my hero since I was a kid and his story and struggles and how he triumphed always gave me strength and courage throughout my life. I really hope this man knows how much of an impact he’s had on true underdogs.
Me too. I was born in this century, so obviously I didn't grow up watching his movies, but I got to know him in Creed movie and then started watching Rocky movies. Also read about Stallone's story, and he became a model to me. Hope he lives a lot more years
Yes that is going to hurt really bad really bad
Its gonna be a while guys, look it up his folks, his dad riched the age of 90, and his mother is pass 100. Usually longevity is hereditary, So Sly will probably be around for a long while
and now you r about to find out hes in prison
I want to see him doing one last Rocky movie 🥊‼
Rocky changed many lives … and cinema as well . Won best picture in 1977 , and now it makes me emotional to see the man who birthed it and carry it to Creed .
The respect towards Silvester by the standing ovation is the real prize and recognition for whom is an icon larger than life for those in the audience and a whole generation around the world you embodies a real life underdog and his rise to success giving hope to all those with a dream!... Congrats Rocky!!!
People don’t understand Stallone’s writing abilities far exceeded his acting very underrated IMO
Legend.
Thank you for saying that. His writing is underrated.
The story of Rocky and Rambo are freakin amazing!!!
same as Clint Eastwood
Except Rocky V lol
A golden globe is nice but Stallone should've won the Oscar for Creed.
amen hope they write him in for creed 2
doubt it creed was his way of passing the torch to michael jordan they have a fresh start now
0reaver01 Can easily have Rocky still have a supporting role. Even if it is just a cameo or something of the sort.

You could tell when he said “Most of all I wanna thank my imaginary friend Rocky Balboa for being the best friend I ever had” hit deep 😢
It hit even deeper when it walked off stage without thanking the writer/director..
@@kreed82 give me a break you insinuating that Stallone is a bad or ungrateful person merely based on that? If that's the case I could easily assume from the smallest mistake you did in life that you're a terrible person as well

Oscar Goes to Sly for all Rocky's history
He was still able to pull all of this off even after losing his son. He should have won an Oscar for Creed.
That's part of why he did so good. He did it partly to honor his son.
Sylvester Stallone as one of the best actor ever I don't know how he didn't get more Oscars and more everything is a hell of an actor. Here's my favorite actor and Denzel Washington too Harrison Ford.

Gave me goosebumps watching this. The standing ovation he got shows how loved he is in Hollywood. As a life long Rocky fan, a lifelong Rambo fan, a life long Stallone fan in general never has an actor been more deserved of this.
The comments of outpouring love for this man are better than the video itself. Awesome.
