Joe had a harder time with forgiving Ali. I believe it fueled his drinking, thus hastened his death. Joe was a sensational Boxer. Rated 8th of all time by Ring magazine. And Joe was only 5 10". But I see him a few other times, and the best time that stood out to me is I was playing ball at Saint barts, I looked over and seen Muhammad in odessa's backyard, I got to spend two days with Muhammad, Rodman, and Lonnie. They treated me like gold, I kind of felt like I was imposing before they sure, treated me unbelievably well. He's the smartest man I've ever met in my life. And the kindest. He would tell me things that would just blow my mind, we fought all over the yard, and he made me the champ. one thing that always stood out that he told me, I said there's a lot of evil in the world Muhammad, he put his hands up at me and he said no Perry , men can change and you have to give them their time, allow them to have the time to change. Boy that really hit home with me, love ya, champ champ.

    • @@perryholloway540 I couldn't meet him but my father did meet him in the 1965 after he defeated Sonny Liston, it was because of a real estate dealing, he purchased 4 acres of land in North Carolina in Greensboro from my father who was real estate business man, My father always had his pic with Muhammad Ali and his autograph and my father had even got a tatoo of him in the late 1990s I usually asked my dad "how did Muhammad Ali interact with you" , "Did he punch you?" , "How strong was his punch?", and My dad used to reply "He a gentleman outside the ring, We see him trash talk but he actually talks with kind and pleasure words and regards and greetings, He's even more handsome inpersonal than in TV, He Looks like a Model than an Athelete" My Dad even got 3 more business deals with him in early-mid 70s which I couldn't witness because I was born in 1981 but I knew from the words of my father that he was a kind and generous man to the society but I remember when I was watching Mike Tyson vs Larry Holmes on the TV along with my siblings then my dad came back from work and was scolding us for watching TV rather than doing homework but then suddenly Ali comes to Mike and whispers in his ear, My dad was stunned and confused and the very next moment as the round 1 began, He started shouting "You have to get him Mike" , "You can't lose when Ali Comes to Cheer For You", "You have to knock him out", "Get Him Mike,Get Him" we had watched a couple fights of Mike Tyson together but I had never seen him cheering for Mike, And when Mike Knocked out Larry oh My God, My dad flipped the living room table and started jumping and hoping all of a sudden. Man, Muhammad Ali is more of a kind hearted actual super human, When my dad heard that Ali passed away, He phoned George foreman to confirm it, After he got the confirmation he just sat infront of the tv news channel reporting Ali's Death the whole night, He was in his 80s when he got to know Ali passed away, The very next month on 9 July 2016, My Dad Passed away, I Still have his pics featuring him and Ali, there a dozen of picture which he took with Ali and 2 of them are coloured ones And when ever I hear the name or words like Muhammad or Ali, I immediately start remembering Father and Ali But I got meet Mike Tyson inpersonal in 2009, I asked him "how do you feel talking about Ali" and he was completely shattered into teers

    • +Asalieri2 No, they were not great friends at all. Initially, when Ali was in exile, they might have been friendly and mostly on Joe's part, but Ali destroyed all that by taunting and ridiculing Joe. Frazier wasn't blessed with the gift of the gab that Ali had, and Mohammed played on that big style. Their fights were hard, bitter, and eventually, career ending for them both. One massive shame about Ali's career is how he treated Frazier. He made him out to be an uncle tom, and basically made his life hell. The saddest thing about it all was when years later Joe revealed his ringtone, a song he sang himself about causing Ali's parkinson's disease and how his punches were the cause of it. Ali treated Frazier appallingly ... it's why he can't believe he appeared in this tribute.

  • Muhammad Ali is one of the most respected and admirable human beings to ever walk on the earth. He has been relentless and completely unafraid to speak about His love for God and his desire to carry out God's message in front of a crowd of millions, after the world fell head over heals for him due to his title and his charismatic personality. He used his fame and power to help others, and never abused it. A true giant. and a great spirit. I am blessed to be a part of the same religion of Islam as this champion.

    • Joe supported Ali financially and spiritually for the years Ali was in exile. Being " the greatest", Ali for years was not aware how much hurt he caused to Joe with his banter. Smoking Joe, was a great man, a great friend and a great champion that never needed to humiliate an opponent, make fun of climb above another man to raise himself. I know this may be unpopular but a man that constantly ducked around on his missus doesn't quite make the grade as " the greatest" no matter what else he achieved.

    • Ali was never the greatest, he was defeated by 5 different opponents. All that greatest BS started after he defeated Liston and was heard in the shower yelling over and over, "I "is" the greatest." And from there the willfully ignorant and easily duped promoted it. On the other hand what he truly was is the greatest mouth.
