Seton Hall could have easily made a good run in the NCAA, NC State type team, as well as Indiana state, both teams were really snubbed this year and it showed with their NIT run and final game.

@@butter7734 Seton hall had some losses this year but the Big East is so tough, they were a really good team and could compete against anyone in the country. I thought UCONN wasn't as good as we thought after Seton hall beat us bad that night. I'm from CT and a UCONN fan since I could walk, played basketball my whole childhood and teen years, probably because of watching them with my dad at a young age. After watching that game I knew Seton Hall was really good

Has 2 Quad 1 wins top 5 in FG %, leads the nation in 2 point percentage and leads in 3 point attempt/make ratio Michigan State, FAU, Virginia, Nebraska, shouldn’t have been in it. and 6 MW teams, in which 5 got bounced in the first round, shouldn’t be in it. i’m not saying expand the tournament but this year might be the worse seeding/snub session i’ve EVER seen.

You wanna bring up 2 quad 1 wins, and say the mt west shouldn’t have gotten 6 teams in. The lowest amount of quad 1 wins that Boise, nevada, New Mexico and csu had was 6.
You are braindead if you think Michigan State shouldn’t have been in. They were a top 30 team by any metric this year. St John’s, Seton Hall, and Ind St all got hosed but Mich St deserved their spot. Virginia and Colorado state were terrible selections by the committee
Bro Indiana could have easily won that with clock management I NEvEr seen a team up 5 with 1:20 left fire a 3 within 5 seconds and miss and give seton hall more time. Literally 1:30 left in the game seton hall misses Indian jacks up a 3 5 seconds later .. you gotta chew clock that’s insane

absolute incredible incredible basketball game. Indiana State just couldn't quite close it down at the end. scoreless for the last three minutes. Tough tough loss but unbelievable game - Hats off to both teams but congrats to Seton Hall on a hard fought win

Shaheen Holloway's got something good cooking at the Hall, just needs better talent. Holloway, Rimas Kaukenas, Darius Lane, Samuel Dalembert, still probably my favorite Seton Hall team.
Sweet sixteen in the year of the fire. Shaheen did so much to raise our spirits, as well as the rest of the players. Guy's heart was on display, as it was tonight.
Don’t forget Ty Shine! Won the Temple game for us when Sha went down with the injury. The 2000 team was the best.

Sadly, with the NIL, no teams but the very top ones will ever actually compete for a National Championship. Any team that has one good season is going to have guys leaving the next year for more money at a bigger school. Unless you are like Duke, NC, etc.

ISU did not know how to protect a 77-70 lead with 2 minutes remaining and Seton Hall in foul trouble. Sycamores shot nothing but 3s rather than drive, draw fouls or pull up for 2s.
This game reminded me of the texas A and M vs northern iowa match in 2016 when down by 12 points with 35 seconds left, Texas A and M came back to send the game to overtime.

Weird ending. When ISU hit a three to go up 7 Hinkle fieldhouse erupted and it felt like the celebration began. Problem is the Sycamores still had to play out the final 3 minutes. Wonder where the after party was going to be down town…

Fr NIT final, Women's tourney, this year college ball has been lit.
Both teams put on a clinic its sad a few university declined to play in the NIT Seton Hall and Indiana State made sportsmanship as an example for what other universities will ever dream of Congrats to both schools and Seton Halp for winning the championship game of NIT college basketball im sure both of these schools deserve a shot at the big dance but heck they both got the last laugh great game

For starters Seton Hall was so bad they didn't even make the tourney, the obvious answer is lose early, possibly even in the play in. Thanks seton hall. Glad you pulled this one out. All these excuses on this thread as to no called fouls and all this other nonsense- this was a game about execution- one team did the other didn’t. Simple as that. People saying BS like “wrong team won” is really quite pathetic. In the end when it came to crunch time one team was able to show they were just better than the other.
The last shot of this game was horrific decision making…you had time. Also no points from the 3 minute mark is crazy

If UConn wins it all, the big east will have won 6 of the last 16 NCAA/NIT championships. Big 12 is second with 4. Big 10 has 1

the guy was wide open under the basket at the end. He should have passed it off and he could have dunked it to tie the game. Guess he wanted to win it with a three.

Providence played without their pt guard which one the Big East player of the year and St Johns would not play in the NIT as they concentrated on the portal to increase their talent level to eliminate getting stubbed again next year

That stinks! I actually like both teams, but I am from nearby Illinois so I wanted ISU to win. Congrats to Seton Hall, and to ISU on making the final. So sad ISU didn't score in the final Three (3) minutes being up seven (7) points and only losing by two (2) points. Horrible.
Couple days late as a Hall fan but this win shouldn’t even validate we should’ve be made the tourney lol. We went 13-7 in the BE and beat UCONN who will play in the NC game even without Clingan. Regardless it was an amazing night and moment for our Pirates. I wish we were in the sweet 16 but an NIT is still trophy ware for our program. NCAA is always bigger but an NIT at least gives the seniors and team something after being criminally left off from BS corruption and favoring golden boy teams. IDC what people think but it was a great day for SH ball. I just hope we get the real goal and prize of making the tournament and a making run not just one year but more. The program can be consistent and make a name against the big boys in CB. I hope the NIT win can lead to another tournament appearance which we already deserved anyway. I believe in Sha and hope one of Richmond and Davis come back a long with Wusu.
The last play fell apart because these guys are trained to pull up and shoot immediately if the guy is too close in order to draw a cheap foul.
Indiana st blew that game, that was the worst clock management with a lead ige ever seen . Tough way to lose a game after having all the momentum in the second half only to rush shots at the end and funble away your lead. Should of milked the clock down to 8nder 8 seconds on last few possessions and giving your defense time to set up . Instead rushed threes set up transition opportunities ...give seton hall credit

Dude launching a 3pt with 20secs to shoot was a very costly risk without running down the clock then the dude rebounding with 46secs left on the clock without resetting with 2 guards blocking flailing to make the bucket cost them the championship.

This is what happens when a Missouri Valley team plays a Big East team.
Interesting comment u made there were several fouls that weren't called the three at the end of the game in particular It makes no difference what conference both teams came from I would suggest you love the game of basketball and be glad that Seton Hall barely won both teams and should have been in the dance It was a great game that was won at the last seconds not about what conference they came from If that was true the big east school should have beaten Missouri Valley school by 30 points But two great teams over shadowed where they came from plain and simply be happy about it
