So here is how I temporarily fixed my leading side window and can hardly tell that its had a change. I called it the bodgeyest bodge I've ever done haha

  • Ive just completed this bodge job too, does the job and stop the windows leaking, just looks a bit dog but the new after market windows go in next week -- just need the van dry inside 😂😂😂

  • You do know that you just could have fixed the leaking? The guide pin on the sliding part of the window is probably worn/damaged, costs £1 to fix in 20minutes. Also, treat the window seals every 6months with rubber/seal restorer protector.

    • There wasn't one pal, when i had inside carpeted and doors sorted they must have removed it. So this was a temp winter fix as water was flowing in through windows and resting in to the bottom of doors causing rust.

    • The worn guide pin? How is this fixed? For £1?

    • @@paulray8358 it wasn't the guide pin it was the whole window and it was a quick fix to stop the door from rotting inside. The door was filling up with water from the broken seals and couldn't get in to be fixed for a few weeks. While the country i.e. UK 🇬🇧 was having worse downpour in years.

    • @@ThisDrivecom Theres also drains at the bottom to let any condensed water out, door and solid wall sides.

    • @@paulray8358 Guide pins are the pins that slide in the slots, those can be either plastic or metal. I saw someone fix it by buying a pen and used its cap to slide over the worn guide pins to make its circumference a bit bigger, fitting the slider channel a bit more snug and that way pushing the window against the seal a bit more firm.

    • Thanks, didn't you find in useful at all? I was clear it was a bodge fix

  • The word "fix" is slightly misleading!

    • Hi, I did say in the video the bodgist bodge and also "So here is how I temporarily fixed my leading side window" so nothing misleading at all ;-)
