Cross hatching in the cylinder walls where the pistons sit. Piston rings sit on/around the circumference of the piston head. What you see in the video is a sanding process that allows the walls to be smooth without any grooves. When the piston goes up and down. The rings scrape oil on the wall down. So there is no excessive oil making it pass. If there are any imperfections ever so slightly. It'll get on the piston head. Where gas, spark, and air mix. If oil mixes. It'll turn to sludge with the heat. Mess up the engine. Work it's way with carb into other areas it has no business ruining your car.

@@Kyle-pz7os didn’t you see the run-out on the shaft??
The run out would only matter for a bore job, not a hoan. The stones are all on springs and pivot to keep themselves true to the cylinder. Many do this with a hand drill... There would be a separate plate on the block to control run-out if this machine was boring the cylinder. Gotta know what right looks like before you call someone out for doing it wrong...
Where could someone learn to rebuild motors? I could volunteer at a shop.
Look up trade schools in your area. Be warned, not easy to make a living doing that which is why they’re so few.
@Pete Prisyazhnyuk uhh ya but you do realize it’s to likely gain a skill as a means of employment right?
Hi are you Bease in uk ?
Just wondering if that's honing oil or water? Ouch!
It's the new coyote block. All those Xs are bad lifter bores lol
What is the diameter you put it, and the size please
No torque plate?
Is the drill bit thing supposed to shake that much?
Hope that was a junk block for demonstration purpose if that was my engine I would be pissed
why?
@@mattlh113089 he wants the operator to be microscopically looking at it and not be filming
@@kadenshablow4327 yes he did. Stop
Homie ain't using a torque plate. I'd be pissed too.
He doesn't have cylinder liners on the engine still you all dumb you can literally tell when he has the cylinder liners installed what he gonna run the engine like that of course it's going to break because the liners are what keeps it from breaking the engine on stock then the piston rubs against the liners and creates heat 🤣🤣
That’s a well oiled machine
I'm interested in getting the names of all machines used for doing this process. Since the beginning till the last step. May you help?
I did cylinder honing on the ship manually. Engine --Mirrlees Blackstone.😎
What's with the very noticeable oscillation?
what are the degrees
You just know seeing that hose, the comments will be _golden_ .
good engine cylinder chambers surface smoothing # 👍🇵🇰
The bores arent done yet. Looks like you tried going center to center but didn’t take out but like .020 when you need to take out .030. Also line it up and chamfer your stones leading edge.
I'm sorry, where's the torque plate?!?!
Reminds me of Joe Mondello.
Is that diesel?
Don't turn off when tools in the slug
I see all these comments of uneducated people. The wobble of the spindle doesn't affect the roundness of the hole, because if you just take a moment to look at the tool it is obvious that it works with centrifugal forces and it automatically has full contact with all honer plates on the steel surface.
Why we have to do hone. Why it is important to do hone. Incase if you don't do hone what will be happen
@@jamalalhumood7532 when you hone you achieve a surface on the walls to increase the lubricity to make the engine run smoother.
@Andrew Perez so you're telling me, that in my 4 years of automobile engineering, including honing engines, i have done it all wrong? lol
@@kik0- You're absolutely right sir!
@Andrew Perez we have both centrifugal high speed hones aswell as spring-loaded hones, so setting up the ref point should not be extremely precise. of course, i still dial up the hole to be honed but it's not that important.
Really need to send my truck through this 😭
if u can
If you slow the rpm. Of the stones the degree of the cross hatch will not be correct.
Never enough drill fluid
Soo satisfying...
Excelente
What do you use for fluid? It sort of looks a bit like what's in my radiator. Lol
Well it is for cooling so
@@ricky107_ so maybe they are using antifreeze?
@@nepttune710 no it's a solvent based lubricant

Can you help me with peugeot cylinder heard
Madre mía qué cacharro...qué valor tiene la gente que confía en ese ajustador... Y lo peor es que lo graba y seguro alguien lo admira...jjjj
Where’s the torque plate
351 Cleveland?
3 years later....yes it is
Well done
Informative
بہت خوب
Must have to drink 5 pints at a time to keep doing this
Can someone explain what the liquid is
It's just coolant with a bit of lubricant in it. It helps getting a better surface and cools the honing tool so it has less wear.
Pee
Cuánto cobran para limpiar un motor
Why is this robot pissing in the engine?
Why is the machine peeing on the engine? It’s NOT a URINAL or TOILET 🚽 😂
Nic work
Só pra quem entende mesmo do riscado... Entenderam? Riscado, na parede do cilindro, pessoal kkk.
All this is going to be a history, soon.
Still have heavy equipment that will need repaired that can't use just electric motors.
You're an idiot, and darwinism will handle you
Do they recycle the lubricant?
I think so those filters on the side looked like that’s what they were doing
@@steverone7623 that's I thought. Thanks!
No they pour it down the toilet and flush it away.
Probably 30 hp more than original
شالسالفة يا جماعة؟
This must be R Kelly's Ford block.
😭😭😭😭
It looked like he was BORING it instead of honing it.
Now I have to pee

It's a shame Audi don't do this well 🤣

Looks like someone is pissing the engine
R. Kelly's new day job
Bruh I thought This was pee😂
I bet this got some dirty mind going.😗🤔💭🤦🏻😗
Ya,...ME
Um what's going on here?
Cross hatching in the cylinder walls where the pistons sit. Piston rings sit on/around the circumference of the piston head. What you see in the video is a sanding process that allows the walls to be smooth without any grooves. When the piston goes up and down. The rings scrape oil on the wall down. So there is no excessive oil making it pass. If there are any imperfections ever so slightly. It'll get on the piston head. Where gas, spark, and air mix. If oil mixes. It'll turn to sludge with the heat. Mess up the engine. Work it's way with carb into other areas it has no business ruining your car.
@@youngborn7600 Beautiful explanation thank you!
Buen trabajo en la parte del cepillado de superficie, los cilindros necesitan rectificar a sobremedida o bien encamisar,
Not to be that guy.. But isn't that a wee bit wobbly?😅
STD
Watching this video makes me wanna go for a pee !😁😷
That machine is not doing it right, those cylinders bores are going to be so screwed
Water looks like piss. You sure nobody pissed in that
It's not water its a solvent based lubricant
