How did anyone have this as even close it was 6 rounds to 2 for Tommy who had double the output of Jake, Tommy outboxed and had higher volume than Jake every single round and without the slip knockdown it was 7 rounds to 1.

it was a close fight......but yes, tommy had more output, so i have no problem with tommy winning, but that point deduction was complete bs, and jake did get the knockdown, even though it had more to do with imbalance of tommy's feet position, but it was still a knockdown

Fair play to the editor for making this appear a fairly even fight. Go back and watch the full fight, Jake swung wild rights all night whilst Tommy jabs his face off. 6-2 at the best for Jake and its hilarious that Tommy got a point deducted for holding when it's all Jake does from round 5
It was painful to see jake try Southpaw stance all night while being unable to control the distance or dodge any of the shots Tommy was shooting at him. He would only pull up the guard after he got jabbed in the face.
To be fair it was bs for Jake to get 1 point deducted for 1 punch behind the head, never seen that before. 0 warnings.

Bruh, Tommy dominated the whole fight and that knockdown seemed more like a slip or a loss of balance rather than an actual knockdown.

Matter of fact, Jake did not look hurt, got knocked down, knocked out or humiliated. He simply got outboxed (and by mostly jabs not power punches), which is something that obviously favors the pro and experienced more.

@@beepbeep5153 it wasn't a real knockdown where the boxer was hurt. it's a flash knockdown. he was caught during bad stance, he lost his balance and the glove touched the lawn. it is ruled as a knockdown when that happens but he was not hurt at all.
It looked more like a push rather than a punch and Fury was already off balance, so of course he was going over.
How Jake got a split decision out of that I’ll never know

I think this proves jake has power when facing a 40 to 50 year old, but when fighting someone who doesn't have a bus pass and is an actual boxer his punches are not particularly Powerful. Tommy himselfnsaid Jakes punches were not any worry and that's why he became less defensively responsible because he knew he could take the shots.

Yeah don’t know what that one judge was smoking. I actually expected a knockout from Tommy, but I can understand he was under tremendous pressure from his family, the Fury name, the boxing community, fans and with the purse, so hence didn’t want to take too many risks.

And it wasn't a split decision too, it was a clear unanimous decision. I had it 6 to 2 for fury 5 to 3 at best.

Jake was absolutely outclassed in every single way. Tommy's counter hooks were almost flawless. Jake leading with his head so much, surprised Tommy didn't KO him. Judge that favoured Jake clearly was paid off.

The issue is that Tommy naturally doesn't have power, he rarely gets KO wins against journeymen, and Jake’s proven to naturally have a good chin so it's obvious that Tommy was going to straight outbox him all night with his pillow hands and win a decision. (which should have been UD)

That was actually 80% a slip, and 20% a knockdown...u could see his foot slip out momentarily by being slightly stunned for a nano second. In no way was Fury seriously hurt by that punch!
It was 100% a knockdown. The punch caused him to hit the floor. Doesn’t matter wether it was because of the weight of the shot or that Tommy was off balance.

Jake put in a more respectable performance than jj that’s for sure. He landed a variety of punches (jj literally only landed a 1-2 and missed most shots he threw) he countered Tommy well in moments, and he was never knocked down using a kind of effective defense (JJ just ducked and clinched because he literally doesn’t know how to defend punches)

my theory was the Referee was giving jake more time to recover and go for a lucky knockout, The US commentators talking about jake 80% of the fight saying 50/50, Logan getting to talk mid fight and a Judge giving it in jakes favour all just evidenced it more for me. The US stream even put a scorecard up saying the score was a 50/50 draw at round 6😂😂 it was rigged for Tommy to lose and im pretty sure the Furys were well aware of this

Tommy is a career boxer, Jake is a youtuber and recently a career boxer. Tommy winning was actually expected, I find it very hard to understand how the bookies had him as an under dog. Jake earned my respect though, he went toe to toe with a career boxer and held his own, got hammered, but held his own. A bit more conditioning and training he could be a good boxer, I have no doubt he will be one day, he seems determined enough. Respect to both fighters, it takes a certain amount of courage to go out on front of millions of people and fight.

if the difference was that large, Jake would've been ripped apart. Either early KO, or his face would look like tomato paste. We can at least tell Jake is a good low-tier professional boxer. Better than what most would give him credit for.
