Well Ngannou can use kicks... But again what if AJ just smacks him like that as Ngannou throws kicks? Well Ngannou can grapple... Again what if AJ just smacks him when he comes in for a takedown? I don't think MMA fighters win in any format against boxers of this level. So long as their punch and it's timing is refined to such a high level it will win out against MMA. If his punch is faster and better than your kicks takedowns and punches then it beats all of them. A jack of all trades but master of none can never beat a specialist.

    • I give them a benefit of doubt. Cuz it was based on the Fury fight. Everyone was expecting Fury to finish Francis inside 4-5 rounds. But he gave a huge wack job a performance. So fans were unsure if it was Fury being off that nyt or if Francis really had good skills. Even Terence Crawford said he had 0 chance of making the distance but it went the distance and scored a knockdown.

Ngannou's raw power and MMA background clashed with Joshua's refined boxing technique and championship pedigree. While both fighters showcased their strengths, Joshua's experience and tactical approach proved decisive as he secured a hard-fought victory. • 2:35 if he had followed it up with another 2 or 3 punches it really would've done some damage and set the tone to have Joshua fighting backwards on his heels. Ngannou alsp should have utilized his powerful clinch more often to throw punches on the inside exchanges. Lastly, the switch to Southpaw too soon was his downfall.

  • I've you've ever trained in any kind of boxing or muay thai, you know how obvious it was that it only took Joshua half the first round to figure Francis out. The range control, the baiting, Francis just looked like such an amateur in there. Joshua doing basic boxing things that Francis wasn't even aware of. Completely open, loops every punch. Paws at everything. Forgone conclusion. People all thought Francis was gonna win based on his power alone lol. But like... Joshua is equally powerful, just as athletic, and just as big, bigger even. And that skill and experience gap is massive.

  • Now that I think of it, Francis hasnt faced hard hitters in the MMA. At his weight class, not many hard hitters. And that shows because he’s never had to depend on movement. He’s used to going front and back, but when you have a guy who can punch as hard as if not harder than you, you need to be able to be able to dodge using lateral movement so you you’re also ready for counters. He needs to reinvent his fighting style.
