  • this video is one of the most informative vids on fortnite ive watched. i especially appreciate the crank simulator recommendation and using the slow mo option. i found out my two reasons for messing up triple edits are either mistiming the wall placement or placing the cone before the floor. the wall placement was easy, but the later was more complicated. i tend to always place cone before floor since it reaches farther, but when i edit i always either cant edit the cone or reset the floor since my last build used was floor. i started placing the floor first and then cone, since i dont see any problem with editing the floor, but the cone i can actually edit. in conclusion the slow mo really helped me look at my mechanics and i figured out my issue, so i will definitely do this on any other weaknesses of my game. thank you ken

  • When you edit with your map out you can reach builds farther away but when you edit with your gun out you can shoot slightly quicker especially when you’re using guns that already have a delay personally when I box fight I edit with my gun but when I’m build fighting I edit with builds

  • I personally don’t think having confirm edit on release is bad for comp, it’s more just preference bc there aren’t many situations in comp where you need to actually hold down edit tiles instead of just holding the edit, and even if you do have to hold down tiles, it still works for short time periods. It just depends on how good you are on either of them and personal preference

    • @RBK as an igl, I can say that it doesn’t negatively affect me, but that’s just bc I’ve been playing with it since it came out. Personally for the the benefit far outweighs the loss.

    • @RBK False. Peanut butters just take a bit more practice. With enough time it is the same. There are countless pros that have it on, and many who have it off it's all just personal preference. The only thing that cant be learnt through practice is crosshair optimization but the other benefits make up for it imo

    • true especially on keyboard when you move your mouse it is hard but if you make the sens lower on editing u can rely on your whole arm more so you don’t do the wrong edit.

  • U can hold your edit confirmation by holding the r2 or confirm button in, it doesn't edits so in endgame people can't get free shots or we can also pre edit it and get out whenever we want while holding it

    • assuming u mean how you can select your edit and hold in order to not release it, yeah this works but its harder to time and it can mess up your aim or crosshair placement. still not turning edit-on-release off tho im too much of a bot

  • Just an expansion on that 7th tip for controller players when editing with your builds out the building sensitivity and Editing sensitivity are combined so your editing cursor will be a bit faster just a warning!

  • Btw, most controller players have to have edit in release, it’s hard for them to edit and confirm on controller, but the reason edit in realeace is better because you can have your build ready before editing, if you have to have that extra click to confirm it, it takes more time!

  • In my opinion to be better in editing in fortnite requires single digit ping or 30 and below. Those who have 60 and up cant triple edit consistently in game and just to remind you guys there are no edit delays in creative rn meaning editing in creative is smoother when you are alone than game modes with different people (multiplayer game modes like solo pubs or creative with friends).

  • In your tip #7 you say to use shotgun and there is no difference between that and map. But the map let’s you select edits from further out so you have more time to do it. Also as for pro’s who use EoR, Bugha, Npen etc still use it. Good video though

  • Another tip that is good and alot of pros use it, like kenbeans, mongraal and so on. Put the ramp before the cone on the triple edit, since when you use the cone last. You are going to put the cone Where the stair should be.
