I flew out to Virginia to show my buddy @SBFishing how I like to fish big glide baits. Along the way, Matt showed me the latest in bass fishing technology, Live Scope. By the end of the day, we both learned a lot from both spectrums and caught some good fish!

  • Man I love these videos. I used to be way big into the big baits but I sold all of them. vids like this make me wanna get back into it. need a kayak or boat first tho for sure. Ive actually never even fished on a boat or on a lake at all. One day ill get there. Videos like this are the motivation to keep growing my channel into something like this.

  • what size tatula (I think) are you throwing @18:17? I only have one swimbait reel and it is a r3vo beast I got on sale for a very good price years ago. I am looking for something to throw maybe a Huddleston on or like a defiant 210, Deps 250. I have a Fury 795 and a Champion XP 806. I only have 2 tiny klash, a 6th sense trace, shine glide and a few other cheap chop style glides that I painted myself. I see Tacklewarehouse has the Lexa 300 on sale with the Winn grips but I'm not sure if it is too much reel for me. My other thought is a Cardiff 300 maybe

  • How do you keep the wide gliding baits in the cone on your retrieves? Or is it gliding back & forth in& out of the sonar beam? Are you mostly using forward or perspective view?

    • Beam is narrow, but not "that" narrow. Perspective mode is junk.

    • The Garmin has a 20 degree beam. The further you get from the transducer, the wider the beam becomes. 10’ out from the transducer it’s got a 3’6” width, 30’ out from ducer is 10’7”, 50’ is 17’8” etc. I don’t think the return is super solid all the way across that width, but it allows the glide to stay in the cone all the way back.   • I dont have livescope and can't see the fish so I tend to throw my glides as close to cover as possible. It draws them out of the deepest junk to at least come take a look
