Summertime is one of my favorite times of the year due to the fish being shallow and aggressive! This time of the year, fishing glide baits are a great way to cover a lot of water and get some exciting bites along the way! Today, we head out in search of an early morning glide bait bite!

Thanks for watching!🙏
That’s what’s up bro!! Keep that content coming man eavry bite is amazing!!
Thanks for watching dude! Every bite is never taken for granted!
Absolutely awesome video bro keep it up! I was actually at that lake on Saturday and I had a 6lb come up and take a look at my deps 250. Also had a 5 take a bite out of my DRT k9.
Nice dude! Tough lake to catch them on so it’s super rewarding when it does happen!
Great work dude! Love the video!
Thanks for watching!🤟
That fish on the nego looked like a killer spot. Isolated dock in what looked like super clear water. Had to be a wicked eat to watch.
Bro we love to just see u fish , keep up the hard work 💯
Thanks for watching! 🤟
Hell yea great catches Bro 🤙🏾🎣
Thanks for watching 🤙
Another rad video brother. I'm a little late but i was wondering if you were using the floating or slow sinking Gan Craft? I'm assuming it the slow sinking but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thanks dude!
Boat flippin like a boss 💪 🎣. Tight lines dude 🤙🏼
Thanks for watching my guy🤙
Damn sounded like you flipped the 2nd fish into a pan lol. Awesome video!
Great video mate, pretty limited on our use of swim baits here in Western Australia, but love your videos 👍🎣
Thanks for watching! The Murray cod seem to eat the swimmer good out there!
About a 2000 mile drive for me to target Murray cod 🤣. Going to give them a go for Mulloway in our local river systems, doesn’t seem to be a common tactic over here but can’t see why it won’t work
I knew you like lake pleasant 🤣🤣 btw that’s a good fish on 250!!
Lake Pleasantは大嫌いです😁
I see you upgraded the boat puller! Nice 🤙
Yeah, got it last year! Love it!
Your swimbaits videos are one of the best 🤙☮️😎
Thanks for watching!🙏
Love to see it love the glide bite
Yes sir! One of the best bites in the world! Thanks for watching!
Your beats are awesome!
Thanks for watching and the feedback!
Good stuff bro. I have an Arashi Glide and I think I'll need to try it out.
Those Arashi glides are sweet for the buck! Hope you stick some on it!
Nice 👍 always enjoy the videos!
Thanks for watching!🙏
Nice hook ups on your swimbaits 👍🏾🎣
Thanks for watching!🤙
Bens just crying in his beer 🍺 lol good stuff
Ben’s salty tears make his beer taste better somehow 🤢🤣
@@crazybassfisher that’s funny poor Ben
Hey Geoff, I wanted to ask what kind of clips you trust for your big baits? I think I saw you using a Decoy egg snap.
yessir hell of a video! loving the uploads, keep em up! that black jungle is such an insane reel too. I am thinking about picking up one of those zillion hlc's but I know the spool isn't as deep as some reels. do you just fish light line or did you swap the spool with an SLP works one? thanks man!
I have the regular spool on it, I use 16-20lb flouro. I bought the reel knowing I wasn’t gonna be fishing deep or anything and it holds enough line to make a far cast and be comfortable
@@crazybassfisher thanks for the info man!
Nice fish dude.
Thanks for watching!🙏
Aight that negotiator catch sold me on a Roman Made. Time to empty the bank account lmaooo. Epic video dude, keep it up
Haha they are badass baits for sure! The second one I’ve owned and both got bit on the first trip haha
Excellent
Thanks for watching!🤟
Subscribed. Tight Lines
Anyone who wakes up before 4am to go fishing is a friend of mine lol
This is so fire! Keep this shit up!
Just trying to make good videos like you
Excellent video man......I purchased a Claw 178 SS. I see that you were kinda reeling faster. Any tips on how to fish this thing? It kinda noses down. Do you through twitches in there? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks
I do very short fast glides on the bait. The bait was designed to have a more nose down glide which I like cause it allows the bait to get to a perfect depth without having to turn it into a slow sink. I use the floating model on mine btw
Awesome video man. I just moved to Texas and am thinking about getting my first GanCraft. Any advice on color?
There’s a lot of cool colors, I like a more translucent color for clearer water and something more solid when fishing dirtier water!
@@crazybassfisher great, thank you so much!
Geoff, this is sick!!! Is this the floating 178? It looks like you upgraded to 3x hooks to change the sink rate to more of a suspend/heavy float type thing. I could be totally mistaken though! lol. Any insight would be most appreciated. I've been throwing the 178F a lot recently in NJ with Zappu suspend strips and man, it's such an interesting bait. Nothing swims like it. Thanks for the vid, man!
Yes, it’s the floating 178, those hooks are actually light hooks, size 2 Owner ST 45, I don’t change the sink rate on the bait due to how the bait will nose down and get down to the key 1-3’ range in the water. I fish it fast so no need to worry about slow glides and it rising to the surface too quick
Big baits = Big fish. Nice ! I don't know where you are , but it sure is beautiful.
Arizona! Definitely cool looking lakes out here!
Ayyyyy a man of culture i see! #cowboybebop
Best anime ever made!
Crazybassfisher are you getting the new deps Giragira?
Hi, how do you straighten the plastic tails on those Gan Craft swimbaits?
Mr Grant is that you
good vibes in these vids, any tips for throwing a glide bait in 2-5 feet of water?
Thanks for watching! Get a floater glide and fish it around any cover that could have deep water access. In your case, find a piece of cover or structure in 2-3’ where it might drop off to 4-5’ close by
@@crazybassfisher fasho, im gonna try that next time im out on the delta
Big Glide Baits= serious lure addiction.. it's a sickness & the best remedy is to buy another 1! Gancraft is a great bait...don't thinking have the floating version...yet 😆 next purchase, I may try the 13 fishing Glidesdale for $20...likely not in the Gancraft, megabass, deps league of baits, but probably catches fish & for $20 worth adding to the collection...u still using fluoro? Monofilament is the only line I trust on big baits with trebles
Nice fish bro! I'm sure loosing the last one hurt but it happens at least you landed a couple... I've been fishing big soft baits for while now going into my 3rd yr with them. I only have an ISlide 135 for glide baits. I know big glide baits that are good are not cheap! What 7-10" glide baits would you recommend??
Try the Arashi glide, Savage gear Shine Glide, Gan Craft 178, Baitsanity explorer and antidote glide would be a handful off the top of my head that would be good glides to start with!
@@crazybassfisher thanks a appreciate it, I actually did have the big savage gear shine glide & I did throw it alot, I never had a follower or bite or anything then I broke it hitting some rocks. So I don't have it anymore. I wasn't sure if it was because was cheap glide bait? Mine never swam very well. I've caught ton fish on ISlide 135 & my big soft baits. I was looking more into a quality glide like gan craft or something like that. I know thier exspensive but you get what you pay for most of the time
Sick man
Thanks for watching!🤙
You've mentioned before that you often get the floating model GanCrafts and tune them... can I convince you to share how you like to tune them for summer fishing? hooks / rings / weight distribution / etc...
Lately, I actually don’t tune them. I leave them stock, they are a slow float so they actually work for me really well. You can definitely add Zappu board weights and tune them to suspend or be a slow sink though.
@@crazybassfisher yep, cool, thanks. The 178F and a suspend-tuned 230F have been doing work for me for a couple seasons. Looked like STY-35MF hooks on your bait...
Parabéns irmãozinho forte abraço estamos juntos ❤
It looks like you were reeling really fast when the first fish but. Can you go over some of your retrieves with different baits and situations?
Yeah, I can make a video diving into that for sure!
@@crazybassfisher woohoo!
Badass!!! Need some help....I have a shit ton of glide baits and have never had any success with em. I mainly target fishing stripe bass. In your video I paid close attention to your retrieve speed and it fluctuated. I noticed when you were near the tires and the cliff that you were swimming the glide bait and sometimes with a twitch. and when you fished the dicks and the marina in your short you fished it very slow. (I mainly do)....what am I doing wrong? thanks
Fun video.. thanks for taking us along.. but you know the best reason to wake up that early is to yank the fish swimming in your head.. you know where they are staged .. I know you gotta go!
Thanks for watching!🔥
where do you get those big snaps? ... and what is your go-to/confidence glide ? thanks
The Hook Up Tackle is where I get my terminal tackle from. My go to glide is either the Hinkle trout or the K9, everytime I fish them, I just expect to get bites
what is the clip on the Gancraft?
Nice Cowboy Bebop flash
My favorite anime🔥
What’s up my brother that’s 3 Nice fish but the one you said came out of nowhere!!! looked at first like it had you are at lest had you dancing on the front deck doing the holy shit where do I fucking go shuffle 😂
Haha thanks for watching! 🙏😂
Hey man, I am down in Florida and getting into glidebait fishing. Do you have any tips for fishing big glidebaits over offshore grass of deep flats (12-15 feet)? Thank you for any help you can give on this topic!
It’s definitely a bit harder than just throwing a soft bait over the grass but I know of a guy named Kieth out in Florida and he does good luck throwing the Deps 250 and Klash baits over grass. He seems to always keep the bait as close to the grass as possible without ever hooking it. I believe he treats it like fishing a wall where the closer to the ambush spot, the better. The fish will come up and hit your bait in that depth so keeping the bait high won’t hurt either
@@crazybassfisher Thank you for the help! I am gonna give them another go the next time I go out and dedicate some serious time to it.
Where can I buy that bait
Yoo.. do you know how the drt tk cranking custom differ from the low or drtk13?
It’s all about where the weight is distributed in the bait. All have the same body but different weight sizes and places
what JC 178 do you use the ss or float? and what color is the one you are using.
I only use the floater, the color is a limited ayu color, forgot the exact name, maybe saiko ayu?
The 🐐🐐🐐🐐🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 I want a klash mystic weed
Thanks for watching! Mystic weed is one of the best colors for sure!
There’s is so much fri I the ponds it makes it really hard to catch Bass, I believe it’s night fishing time 🤷
Don't know what part of the country you're in but yes the night bite is better than the morning or day bite. The big girls always come out at night, even more so in highly pressured fisheries. My favorite night bite is during a full moon night on a top water wakebait like a bull Rat or something of similar nature.
Night fishing is a great way to catch fish and big ones too!
@@morganvanschuyver Morgan to be completely honest in my 46 years of fishing,my favorite time to fish is at night but for me I hate the full moon,I’ll take the first and third and between 10pm to 2am is when I caught most of my biggest 🏆 and I live in (Massachusetts) so I have limited months to be able to night fish, and go to bait is Spro BBZ50 Rat,Love that bait and it’s affordable like $30-$35 buck ❤️🤙
I’ve been headshot 3 times in 3 trips on the deps and no hook ups even with Gamakatsu round bends 😭😭😭. One was over 8.
I hate when they only head shot the Deps, can never hook them!
@@crazybassfisher it especially hurts when they’re boat side and do it.
🔥🔥
Thanks for watching!🤟
You are forcing me to buy one of these glide baits. Personally my PB double digit bass came off a frog but I’m gonna try it.
Try it out! Really fun bait to fish!
@@crazybassfisher will do
Were these fish caught in summer or spring? 1st day of summer was yesterday.
Summer for sure! Thanks for watching!
When you lost that fish I felt your pain
Haha it definitely hurt a little 🤣
Anyone else see what looks like a fish bust at around 6:13 in the middle of the shot?
Haha yeah, noticed it while I was editing the footage, might have been a carp too
@@crazybassfisher why you gotta disappoint me like that 😂
She is ttg 🔥🔥 video
Thanks for watching man!🙏
I’ve been steady grinding on the glides for 6 months straight now. I’ve had a ton of big followers and one legit double digit straighten a 3x treble out at my feet….but I have yet to claim success with these things. What gives?!
Definitely a learning curve with them, it took my buddy Phoenix a couple of years to actually land a fish on a glide bait!
@@crazybassfisher man that is a long time! I thought my 6 months was crazy. Guess we’ll see which breaks first…my will to keep trying or one of my swimbaits on some rocks! Haha rock on bro. Love the content
you ever take subs out with you? guide???////////////////////////////
I have in the past when I had an actual bass boat, I just take out people I know now though
this looks like ZERO fun......
