Theres a reason most chevy silverado guys put away their LS projects and switched over to the coyote f150 platform. Its just so much easier to build and get results. That little Coyote 5.0 F150 is where its at these days.

Watching 'Mullet' and 'Leroy' put down some serious numbers. I can remember watching this crew when they first started with Leroy, and they were struggling with 9's Mullet had all sorts of power delivery problems and struggled to get into the 8's. These boys and their cars have come a long way.

I had same issues on my lowered 4wd silverado, I broke a few axles. You need longer axles on these trucks, get the factory trail boss axles since they are longer and won't pop the snap rings off

@@Airsally The axles are breaking because it's lowered and pulling the CV apart when the suspension fully compresses. It's just an oversight of lowering a truck multiple inches and not making sure the axles would work with the geometry. It's a good thing Ford finally fixed the IWE problem in 2021. Blue would have been grinding up those chinesium hub locks like crazy if they were the pre-21 design.

Not because it's weak, because the truck is lowered so much the factory axle isn't long enough and pulling it apart. If you modify your suspension that much, you gotta make sure stuff like the CV axles are the right length.

The AT4 GMC truck has larger inner joints on the front axle shafts. The Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss edition also has the larger front axle shafts....that would be a good upgrade for your giveaway truck.

Im 7 minutes into this video and Cleeter trying to skip a 2 step check. Ole squirrel knows what the people want!
If the transfer case was swapped to the one from the Chevy S/S extended cab from the 2000's it would have the viscous coupler in the T-case and stop the axel's from breaking. Then if ya leave the actuator hooked to the front axel you can still run it in 4x2, ya just have to trick the BCM into thinking that the T-case is still shifting in and out or convert the front axel to cable actuated, there is a kit for 4x4 truck's with the actuator on the front axel housing on the passenger side that uses the fork to pull the ring over and couple the fornt x!
