See how to use your body weight to generate more power! | ONE HOUR TRANSFORMATION EPISODE 10

In this episode, I had the opportunity to work with Erikas, a promising 13-year-old who reminds me of Stefanos Tsitsipas when he first came to the Mouratoglou Academy.
Erikas has a powerful forehand, but struggles to engage his full body in the motion, relying too heavily on his arm to generate power. Do you find yourself falling into a similar pattern? Then watch us as we go through the journey of breaking down Erikas’ forehand, and transforming it into a weapon that is super-charged by power from the legs.
We also spent some time fine tuning Erikas’ volley. Getting the right angle, with your body weight in the right place, is crucial for striking an excellent volley, which is exactly what we focused on in the second half of this session.
After an hour, Erikas had doubled the power in his forehand, and possessed much more accurate volleys!

  • The perfect time for this lesson, I have just joined a mens team and we practice this every week. Will be trying the lower body, angle of the racket and following the ball on my volleys.

  • All what he's saying is wrong unfirtunately for all those are in his hands. You can not transfer the body weight foreward when the ball is high and long. It is unbelievable that these kind of coaches have so much influence, congratulation to them
