  • It's always fun to help someone catch their first fish and see the joy on their faces. A few months ago I had the pleasure of helping two young Israeli girls and their mother catch their first ever fish prior to them retuning home for the start of the school year. The sheer squeals of joy and the looks on their faces made it my best fishing day of the year and I wasn't even fishing. I pray that they are safe.

  • That is one of the reasons most people love fisherman. We are not selfish with our gear. Are known to give kids rods and reels so they can go fish. And we have the best attitudes in the world. FISHERMAN ROCK Ron In Los Angeles

  • Here in New England, I've been out on party boats many, many times and have always enjoyed handing the rod to someone, particularly kids, to see them catch a fish. I've caught a lifetime's worth of fish but to see them catch their first is really cool.

    • It was fun to be a part of someone’s first pompano

      @FishGum@FishGum7 ай бұрын
    • @@FishGumyou should read my previous reply to an earlier comment of mine. Also, when I caught my first saltwater fish, I didn’t even know it was a Pompano, but I was overwhelmed by how much my first saltwater fish looked so different from my Freshwater trophy flatheads looked. It opened up an anticipation of possibilities about what could be out there for me. Tie that fish into the beach, the sun and of course the blue saltwater with the unlimited possibilities that could be waiting for me there. I cannot begin to tell you all how beautiful my life became after that June/July vacation we took down there from Nebraska. We were down there to take a look at the new location for a new store and company we worked for. We drove home that night of July 4th 1976… the bi-centennial. As we drove back we could see all the fireworks going off everywhere. I still am in awe of that period till 2023. I was with this girl who would also be transferred to the same store till we got into the boat business. No one has ever been in as a deep state of Love as I have been since 1/1/76. All this is obviously proof of a supreme entity who has truly blessed me and my wife, who was the girl who was with me when I caught my first and only Pompano. If you all had any idea of all my adventures, you couldn’t understand or believe what all I have experienced. Two Movies, two Olympic teams, captained a vessel with a current Vice President on board who would become President. More national and world championships than I can remember and friends who maintain contact… sorry but even I am in awe AND that one Pompano could have been the catalyst that started my affair with the blue water world.
