As a Pats fan, both games were anxiety inducing. I'd say this one more so because Mahomes was far more capable of putting up points than Goff. I knew if just ONE of those 3rd and 10's doesn't convert, Mahomes is most likely winning the game.

Just look at the numbers. 8 teams gave up more points that season so "one of the worst defenses of all-time" and "historically bad" are the foolish exaggerations of haters. Chiefs were Top 10 in generating turnovers and led the NFL in sacks. They gave up a lot of yards and points in garbage time of games they were well ahead in. Do you guys even watch the games?

Love seeing Brady so hyped after the win. You'd think it's his first trip to the Super Bowl with how happy he was. I think that's part of why he was so great. His hunger for winning was insatiable.

This SuperBowl run solidified how important Gronkowski was for that team. Having a excellent receiving TE who can also block better than most of their offensive lineman was huge. It’s a reason why the offense looked so lost for the Pats in 2019. And why Tampa won the SuperBowl in 2020. He’s probably the greatest TE ever for a reason

@@Blinkncali21 they lost cappa who was a starting guard is probably one of the biggest reasons. Gronk was important for outside runs but in terms of inside running he probably was a good enough blocker to seal the backside and allow wirfs or smith to double, dont have film to support this but I assume he did allow for that

@The Real JayNice Look, I grew up rooting for the Redskins and he was always the quarterback skins fans I knew feared most in the division, more than McNabb and waaaaay more than Manning. Yes, he never won a superbowl but tons of great qbs never made it that far either. His improvisation, accuracy, and arm strength were all top notch but above that, he had a deep understanding of the game which I didn't fully appreciate the extent of until I saw his color commentary. Think of how terrible most of his defenses were and how mediocre his coaching always was. And, until the mid 2010s, he had one of the worst O lines in football. What he accomplished despite all that should definitely qualify him as a great qb and that's coming from the fan of a division rival.

Bills vs Chiefs ending was almost identical to this game. Both games had 24 and 25 points scored in the final 2-4 minutes. Game tying field goal and one OT drive to win it.
If Bills squib kick at the end of regulation they very likely would have beaten KC!?!

Patrick's big opportunity came when he faced Brady in that Super Bowl which Patrick lost. Brady had a unique situation by playing for the greatest NFL coach of all time plus playing in the crappy AFC East almost guaranteeing Brady a first round bye every year. Patrick has no such luxury in the AFC West, plus Patrick's coach Andy Reid is one cheeseburger away from a heart attack. Take care

First football game I ever watched (I’m 18 now). I’ve been a lifelong basketball fan but my friends kept encouraging me to watch football. So I decided to watch this game and changed my life as a sports fan. Even though they lost, something about the Chiefs made me love them and I’ve been a fan ever since. People say I’m a bandwagon fan but I could care less. Win or lose, I love this team lol.

I remember this game like it was yesterday. I've been a chiefs fan as long as I can remember and this season I watched every game with my brother. The play where Ward had the INT in the 4th quarter my brother and I were hugging and jumping like we were kids again. I haven't screamed with joy like that since I was a kid. When Dee Ford lined up off sides I was so devastated and knew that the game wasn't going to end well. Seeing KC win it all the next season was truly amazing and I hope they run it back this year!

This is one of a handful of games in NFL history that I'd describe as "exhausting." Just to watch, it was exhausting. The two teams combined for 44 points in the 4th Q and OT. Amazing thing is that wasn't a great Patriots team, they went 11-5. Weren't super talented but they won with guile, experience and an incomparable QB. All the sweeter.
