  • I'm a 6th grade social studies teacher, and every other Friday, I do current events. I included this phone's release as one of the stories they could write up, and as I was explaining it, they got every bit as excited as I was. I work at a very ethnically diverse school, and it got them captivated because someone who speaks only Spanish in an ELD (Language Arts) can converse with someone who only speaks French, when otherwise, they'd be isolated. We're actually planning on using this technology, but it was a pleasant surprise to see that it's included in the phone. Would make my job WAY easier at times. I still have an S21 Ultra, and with the prices I've seen, I might upgrade, honestly.

    • Samsung mastered the lens transition with the S24. For the most part, the zoom doesn't look jittery anymore - only when Marques switched from the 3x telephoto to the 5x telephoto lens, did it look at all laggy (around 3:12 in the video. Also, at 3:31 it snaps into place.) I think Apple still has a smoother zoom though, with the zoom speed increase, and subtle slow down in speed when ending the zoom animation. I wonder if Samsung will roll out an update for 200MP RAW photos? As a Pixel user, I'm kinda jealous of the updated design of OneUI 6.1. It's crazy that with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Samsung phones run faster than the iPhone 15 Pro with A17 Pro! I do prefer the rounded screen on the S24 and S24+ over the sharp corners on the Ultra, but the super slim bezels make up for it. I wonder how the titanium feels vs aluminum or stainless steel?

  • As a s23 ultra user, I feel Samsung should have increased pixel count in 3x camera instead of 10x and have slightly increased pixel count in 10x too instead removing the 10x lens. Optical zoom will always be superior to the digital 5x cropped 2 times vs 10x, 10x quality will always come on top also RAW photo will be much more useful than the cropped 5x photo. MPs in mobile are not that useful if you need quality.

Multiple timers. Widgets. Swipe to text. Live voicemail. Pic in pic playback. OLED displays. Face unlock. Multiple rear cameras. Always on display. Etc).
