The thing I found great was that Wanda booted Monica through 4 walls (2 walls of the house, the fence and the hex-shield) back to the S.W.O.R.D. camp. So Monica literally had to break through the fourth wall, that being the hex-shield, to get back to reality.
That's really clever, and must have been deliberate, nice catch
Good One.
Oh, there goes gravity
I love that their "fourth wall" is the wall between Wanda's world and the outside (Marvel) world. Like the MCU is in the real world
Good catch.
I think that the worst part of Agnes killing the dog is that she is the one who introduced the dog. Because Wanda is surprised to see the dog in the sink and Agnes made sure to bring a doghouse by. So she didn't just kill the dog. She created the dog specifically to kill it in order to force Wanda to face her actions. That's what bothers me the most.
I- geez... I love watching theories of this show because people keep finding things that I never would have caught and it always adds so much more meaning to the story.
He first appeared after the boys found him outside. I never considered that Agatha might have created him, I just thought she was spying on them and took advantage of the situation. Either way makes sense. That's actually less depressing than my theory, which is that it was a real dog that belonged to someone in Westview, and Wanda stole him and then got him killed. But it's possible that when she set everything back to normal she brought him back to life ("you can do that?"). Her intention was to fix everything she changed so you never know.
@@hiccuphufflepuff176 No collar no owner, I think there's a meta message within that logic: "It's not real."
The dog wasn’t real 😏
But that works in favor of her character though
To me, the most curious thing was how Wanda answers to Vision's question of who he is: she tells him he's _her_ husband, and _Billy and Tommy's_ dad. She links his entire being to her and their family, because he literally does not exist outside of them.
Yeah that was some really good writing ✍🏽 👍🏽
And also, because that's his role in her/their show
That makes the ending soooo much more sad 😭
I also think it's because how women linked to their husbands in the past the same way
right and everyone just thought she's gaslighting because at that point she seemed like the villain, when she was...actually telling him the truth...
I wonder if he noticed that Wanda gets less enthusiastic every time she says "Previously on WandaVison"
I think that was a win in the video for the first three episodes.
I love how after seeing Zombie Vision, Real Vision almost looks oversaturated, like Wanda’s reassuring herself...
Omg you’re totally right. I always thought he looked a little off in that scene, and this is definitely why
Great point!
Yeah, he kinda looks too pink until he tries to escape Westview
To be fair, Vision's colors comes from his powers technically... Since when he died, all color left him immediately but it likely is a play on scenery to make him seem fake and "Animated"
I love Paul Bettany in this series. He starts being the usual Vision, very accommodating, very pacifist. At the end of episode four, he finally gets angry. “You don’t get to make that choice FOR me!” Brilliant! And he gets more defiant as time goes on.
He was so great. Something I love about the series is watching the range from Olsen and especially Bettany. The comedy, the drama. Drunk Vision was so fun. He didn't get to do much as Vision before now and this series really showed what he can do.
I loved the fact that Vision was trying to defy Wanda, and I’m still a bit sad that at the end it kinda lead to nothing
@@loopyiguana8947 Why do you think it came to nothing?
@@darkecofreak23 Well the episode where quick silver shows up (I don’t remember which one that was) felt like the last time Vision actually confronted Wanda. After that Vision kinda just walks around doing less and less until the end where their conflict is completely sidelined so that Agatha can be the villain
This show genuinely made me love Vision, before I was pretty neutral to him, but the absolute selflessness he has in this show did so much for his character. The way he tears himself free, but all he can say is “THE PEOPLE NEED HELP”
Disappointed that you didn't mention that since Pietro only shows up in Episode 5 after Wanda tries to credit-roll Vision, his reveal is technically a Post-Credits Scene
Good Catch.
That’s pretty funny. Good catch
MARVEL YOU SON OF A BITCH!
From now on, I will utilize "credit-roll" as a verb whenever I can.
@@raidenthenctzenwithinsomni4961 "Say hi to your mom for me!" "I credit-rolled your Mom last night" Argument over in one sentence or less.
The Yo-Magic commercial being Agnes makes even more sense when you realize that the woman who’s typically in all the other commercials isn’t in this one and it’s a completely different style (animated vs live action)
I also noticed that the song in the background is somewhat similar to Agatha All Along
Also that one was way more directly horrifying than the others. The others you had to have background knowledge to get why they were unsettling but that one was scary on the surface
And Agatha is a survivor that snacks on "yo magic". Leaving you dead after
The commercials reflect events from Wanda's past. I think the Yo-Magic commercial reflects her test with the Mind Stone. The volunteers were all held seperatly (isolated) and Wanda and Pietro were the only people to survive contact with it. Even the tag line from the commercial reflect this, "Yo-Magic, the snack for survivors."
I love how Pietro was credited "As Himself", when we all know that he's really an impostor!

As a black woman, seeing Monica's natural hair look amazing every episode filled me with so much joy, the fact that her hair is long made it even better. Usually black actresses have a straight wig or weave installed and then everyone calls it a day.
Can confirm that we white people loved it too! Monica Rambeau was definitely a scene stealer, even with Darcy in the frame
I love that it was natural! Seriously, it looks so good! Definitely something that needs to be done more
Holy Shit. I watched Last Week Tonight with John Oliver where he addresses this very issue. Imagine my surprise when our guy complimented MCU for hiring someone who actually has experience with black women.
You hair people are unreal...
It was a wig though. The absolutely best natural hair wig I've ever seen. Teyonah confirmed that.
I love how Wanda turns S.W.O.R.D. into a circus. Most of the people get to live fairly normal lives because Wanda knows that they are innocent. But the people who tried to attack her, in spite of not really posing a threat, get turned into the epitome of a laughing stock.
You're not just a clown, you're the whole circus
"not really posing a threat", except the hundreds of people she's holding hostage.
@@royalblue5367 I was referring to the S.W.O.R.D. agents who were expecting some guns to be enough to kill an Avenger. I'm sorry for the confusion, I did phrase that poorly.

@Meta Man You okay?
I never noticed Billy using telepathy to "train" Sparky. Great catch!
Me neither. I like how Billy has Wanda's telekinetic abilities, while Tommy has Pietro's super speed!
I recall being suspicious of the hand gesture at the time (it's an unusual gesture for dog training), but I had completely forgotten about it when the kids grew into their powers more explicitly.
Pretty sure that was just a joke about his powers he grows into later on, since at this point neither of them were able to use them
Yeah I’m @@trinaq u it Rachel you remember
I think casting Evan Peters specifically was actually pretty genius of them. Agnes points out Wanda wanted her brother so badly was so willing to accept this completely random person a Pietro, just like how we the audience completely accepted him due to the X-Men movies, the MCU doesn't exist within a bubble, it knows we will watch other things
Exactly why I thought it was perfect. The audience *wanted* to believe that was the Pietro we were longing for, just as much as Wanda did, but deep down it was obviously not him.
@@heyitsmira17 I still think it's a connection. I know this is hella late, but I always thought him being just a normal guy was either a misdirect, or an "just in case we can't." Especially after Loki, and obviously No Way Home. Wanda wanted Pietro so badly, she pulled a variant from another reality, and who he actually turned out to be was just sort of like. His closest MCU counterpart. This has always been my theory since I watched it.
As someone else pointed out on a different video, there was no one else Marvel could have casted to keep fans guessing on whether or not Pietro was alive.
A lot of people believe that it was Peter (not Pietro) Maximoff (as in from the X-Men universe) and that he’s in witness protection from something. They may be reaching but I think it’s a fun theory and would be a cool way to re-introduce the multiverse and the X-men possibly coming into play in the MCU
It’s always been so ridiculed for people to latch onto television shows to cope. Wandavision felt so personal to me. When I was younger, fictional characters would be my escape. Seeing Wanda coping her loss with the last comforts of her childhood. This is why fictional characters are important and in many cases life saving
Precisely, me too. Wanda seeking refuge in sitcoms to cope with the loss of her loved ones is very relatable, and shows the importance of letting out your grief, and not mourning alone.
Yeah. There's definitely psychology into it.
Agreed my friend.... Agreed.
Same here. It why I love Buffy the vampire slayer and static shock. They dealt with real issues letting me know I’m not alone while growing up
Is this the reason people have comfort characters or get incredibly upset when they die? I do that too, I’m just wondering
“It’s not like your dead husband can die twice!” Is also a nod to Pietro not being created by Wanda as she would have known Vision did die twice.
holy shit you're right
A million thank yous for the win of Monica's hair. Her flawless twist-outs made me so grateful that there must have been diversity in hair & makeup department.
Every episode I was in love with her look, especially the detail of her Afro in the 70s and saying the hex will straighten her hair for the 90s
Seriously, she was just gorgeous throughout the series. Every time she smiled I had a hard time looking at anything else.
yessss said it best
I was scrolling looking for anyone in agreement. The twist out was beautiful
The greatest magic in this show was how her character went from a picked out 'fro to twist-outs after sleeping in bed for a day.
How did Norms actor (Abilish Tandon/Asif Ali) not get a win for that acting when Vision put him back under?! THIS IS WRONG! JUSTICE FOR NORM!
You mean Abilash*
Just a humourous jab here, fellow KZhead friend, but.... if you really meant that, you could at least have looked up the actor's name! 🤣 EDIT: Unless that was the 2nd level of the joke, in which case, nicely played!
@@cristonsloan I am assuming (as I don't recall from the episode) that Abilash is the trapped resident of Westview cast as Norm. We all know him as Norm because well, Abilash is the deep cut.
@@trapjohnson Yeah sure, but my point is that the actual actor's name is Asif Ali - my understanding from the OP's comment was that they wanted props given to the actor himself ("props" - see what I did there? 😜) for the way he portrayed the sudden switch between the two mental states, so making use of either of the character's names in the story is of no real consequence in that scenario. The 2nd level would be that even the person professing to want to give props to the actor couldn't be arsed just to find out what their name is, thereby exacerbating the level of disregard against which they themselves are speaking out. A grim Irony, if you will. Of course, I may have misinterpreted the comment.

13:53 That "trick-or-treating in Sokovia" cutaway was 100% all Agnes' doing. They even have different actors playing young Wanda and Pietro than the flashback later in "Previously On".
Yeah, and Wanda even says she doesn't remember that, which makes sense, cause Halloween isn't celebrated in Eastern Europe. While some people may do it now due to western influence & exposure, it was not done before, not in 1990s.
@@loganbigmo And certainly not in a war-torn region like Sokovia.
Honestly one of the stealthiest but most effective horrors I’ve ever seen. The unnerving implications of Westview are far scarier than anything we’ve seen in the MCU or even a lot of recent films
But very reminiscent of the first season of Jessica Jones. I actually think it boosts the creepiness when you think of the Purple Man as played by Tennant and how the show was in large parts about the trauma that having your free will hijacked leaves.

A tiny detail I missed until someone pointed it out on Reddit: When Vision leaves the Hex, the pieces that break off of him are hexagonal in shape.
Yes, it was pointed out by Canadian Lad in his 0.25x videos that they are hex-shaped in that instance, but "House of M"-style cubes when they start dissolving in her later attempt at removing the hex (ep. 8?).
Nothing about the show affected me emotionally until the last episode when the hex collapsed slowly and Wanda & Vision shared one last moment together. As the hex collapsed, so did I into tears.
Me too, coupled with Vision's "What is grief, if not love persevering" quote, and Wanda tearfully thanking Tommy and Billy for letting her be their mother, I was an emotional wreck afterwards! 😭💔
One extra thing: Wanda actually set the time to night (it was bright an sunny at the end of the fight), just so the kids would disappear "in their sleep" rather than being wake for their own death.
Wanda & Vision's flashback scene after Quicksilver's death in episode 8 is what got me
Same, whatever flaws featured in the final episode disappeared due to my overwhelming love for Elizabeth and Paul as Wanda and Vision and their wonderful chemistry and character portrayals and arcs. The storytelling and creativity established and explored to provide that hard-core emotion was breathtaking and I adored it so much.
Idk about you but 6 and 8 got to me

I wish you pointed out the paint brush opening on vision for episode 5 parallels with Wanda bringing the color back to the greyed out vision husk
I'll also take a family ties reference any day
The best thing about Scarlet Witch's suit is that she formed it out of a t-shirt, sweat-pants and hoodie, so in-universe all that skin-tight leather is 100% cotton and probably machine washable.
And machine washable, dahling. That's a new feature.
Now that I think about, that's not actually true. The hoodie outfit was part of the Hex, so she really made it out of what she was wearing when she drove into town. But still, that looked pretty comfy too.
"Kids, they never do what you tell them to do" was said right after Agness broke character and asked Wanda to "try that again?" which forshadowed both how she was trying (and failing?) to control Wanda's Hex, as well as how old she really is to refer to the adult Wanda as a child.
The one that I keep coming back to is where "Agnes All Along" came from. I mean, it's such a great bit that I'm not even nitpicking the plot questions, but I do wonder... did Agnes have enough control to insert her own intro spot into the broadcast, or were we seeing Wanda processing the betrayal through her own sitcom lens? Either way works, really.
Also Agnes's line about not being able to control kids could be foreshadowing/referencing how her own mother couldn't control her.
It’s nice when lines like this one work on so many levels.
I love how Vision has never been completely under Wanda’s control. It’s a sign of how much she loves him. She could easily make him look like a human full time or get rid of his robot personality entirely to help them fit in, but instead she encourages him to be himself as much as possible (like that lovely scene where she asks him to meet his kids in his real form). She could also mind wipe him every time he gets suspicious but she never does even though it’s the obvious solution. When she can’t avoid his suspicions anymore and they argue and he vents instead of doing the obvious and erasing his memory she tries to talk her way out of it and you can see her almost break her masquerade and just tell him the truth before Quicksilver showed up and distracted them both. Or in the Halloween episode, he practically tells her point blank that he’s going to patrol the town to see what’s really going on, and it clearly irritates her but she lets him do it. So many issues could be avoided if she controlled him the way she controls everyone else but she loves him to much to do that.
This show.... Brutal exploration of grief, but so well done.
@Mattbrain Where On Season 20 of Big Brother. ZING!
@Mattbrain The Doctor Strange cameo was actually cut. They were going to have Doctor Strange try to teach Wanda magic, but they decided to cut it out, so she could experience and try to learn how to control her magic herself. The Mephisto theory not panning out doesn't make this show bad, imo. I never really thought of it as a bad thing. Your reasoning to give it zero stars, to me is not that... justifiable. Giving a show zero stars because your theory wasn't right is.........a bit sad to know that you would only like the show if your theory was valid I thought all the hints to Mephisto were a great red herring and distracted you from Ag(tha Hark)nes. It distracted many people and eventhough some people new she was Agatha from the start they still wanted Mephisto. These are my opinions of course. Though the zero stars because your theory wasn't right is still sad.
as a black woman it made me so happy to hear you recognize monica’s hair!! her twist out did look amazing
Dude, I can't believe you didn't win the fact that Billy was dressed as Wiccan. & IK that some people were disappointed that Tommy didn't dress as Speed, but it could still be a win for comic accuracy &/or cuteness, bc comic Tommy really does admire his uncle Pietro.
"But let's be honest here, you can't throw a Fox mutant at us and not expect everyone from your grandma to your dog to assume you're promising the multiverse" Especially since Doctor Strange 2 is called Multiverse of Madness, and Wanda is going to be in that one.
When it’s revealed that Hayward was lying about Wanda taking Vision’s body I was so shocked. I think it’s the first time I’ve ever seen a show where the show itself lied to us and made us believe it.
You were taken in by that? It felt odd to me that they didn't show the footage of her carting off his body, so when the lie was delivered, I am wondering ... 'But, why aren't you showing it, you showed everything else?"
@@ArcaneSorceror Probably because for all intents and purposes, Hayward showed enough to make his narrative look damning.
@@maniac7770 True, but the entire series has been misdirection after misdirection. I mean, they wouldn't let the people trying to figure out the Hex what they knew before going in. Does not speak well for the open communication scientists would need. So, what else was being intentionally misconstrued?
That and Bohner. (Which I liked - if they bring mutants in it will be a completely new cast. Heck, FF is even worse off since both Johnny Storms have played an MCU character - Captain America and Killmonger respectively.)
@@ArcaneSorceror In fairness, that was Hayward's purpose. He wasn't there to help the people or analyze the Hex, he was there to have a good reason to weaponize Vision's corpse. That said, for all appearances, my hypothesis is that the scientist crew were brought on to hopefully analyze and possibly harness anything they could about the Hex, while helping the people trapped in it, to give it a feeling of greater legitimacy. S.W.O.R.D. was among the first agencies involved with the matter, so it stands to reason that anywhere they have naturally inquisitive minds poking where they perhaps shouldn't, they could try covering it under being above authorized clearance for the scientist in question.
Seriously, I'm starting to think that I am the only one who got that Ralph Booner was Evan Peter's name inside Wanda's Hex. We never knew what is name was outside of the Hex
This is one of the reasons why I'm still convinced that he's Peter Maximoff.
"Ralph Booner" I'm dead
The show runner said there was more to the character he couldn’t talk about yet and it would make sense in the hex Wanda would turn him into an actor since he was pretending to be her Peitro. I’m hoping he is quicksilver but I’m trying to keep my expectations on the floor
@@fueschgast Ill go a step further - Peter Maximoff is Wanda and Pietro’s father, making them Magneto’s grandchildren.

I was always aware of how fantastic Monica’s hair was on this show. Thanks for acknowledging it. Also, I was hoping you would’ve pointed out the part where Agnes asked about Wanda reversing death. Testing her abilities even further.
“There’s no indication of that” Actually, one thing that New Rockstars pointed out is that when Monica blips back in the hospital there’s a quick moment where she barely bumps into a guy and he falls like she rammed into him. They say this indicates she already has superpowers and that her multiple traversals through the hex border just amplified them
Maybe he was a professional soccer player
I don’t know why everyone is assuming that just because it wasn’t resolved by the end of this season, that Pietro was just a joke. I think we’ll get more on him eventually, but they didn’t want to dive into all of that quite yet in the show

I wonder how much of Agnes bringing up Ralph is to remind the audience she has a husband, so as not to stand out for being single. Come the 2000’s and 2010’s episodes she mentions him far less, as single women didn’t stand out so much in sitcoms around that time.
Last time i was this early Vision was still J.A.R.V.I.S.

I really think 5, 6, and 7 are where the show really hits its stride. The first couple are intriguing, but in 5, 6, and 7 I enjoyed noticing all the ominous cracks in Wanda's world. Also, PLEASE DO FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER :) It is a very, very interesting character study and I think it would work so well for this channel!

@@PMow-gm4hz I agree 7-9 kinda of lost that uniqueness that the rest of the series had. Fun Fact: Wanda and Pietro were orphaned on March 30, 1999, the day before the original Matrix came out. Both twins joined Ultron in Avengers 2, who was an A.I. program. Wanda also created a Matrix with the whole fake sitcom reality.

It was only mentioned by about 900 posters on the previous video of episodes 1-3 and every single MCU website. Talk about beating a dead horse to get a Win
15:04 Why is this the first time I'm hearing someone say this? Agatha was literally about to be killed, but to survive, she drained the magic meant to kill her. "Yo-Magic: The snack for survivors." Like, how is that not the first thing it gets linked to?
I didn't even make that connection until now, nice job!
13:44 IM SO GLAD YOU POINTED THAT OUT
I was not expecting the elizabeth olsen diss track by the olsen twins during a wandavision cinema wins vid
I will continue to fight for an Everything Great about Speed Racer (2008)!!
There was a rumour that Jimmy (and possibly Darcy) might get an MCU show and, good lord, I would watch the ever-loving hell out of that show
i hope he does this with falcon and the winter soldier too, will be shorter sense it's only 6 eps but i like seeing him keep up with marvel, iot helps me keep up when i can't afford to see a movie or get disney +
Me in Frozone voice: YOUTUUUBE! Where's my notification?!
KZhead: Whaaat?
Loved that you pointed out Monica’s twist outs! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Billy and Tommy are awesome children and future Young Avengers, hopefully 🙏.
I’m a simple person, I see Cinema Wins posts, I click
Which is always a win.
Me Too.
Likewise, talk about an instant click bait!
Seeing Wanda coping mechanism is watching sitcom (or series) make me realize that I’m doing the same thing. This show has a special place in me
When I was in a really bad place in life three years ago. I watched how I met your mother and bojack horseman religiously. Wanda using her sitcoms to get through her pain was what cemented my love for her beyond anything else.
i honestly cant wait for when he does Godzilla Vs. Kong...
Same over here.
Never clicked on a video so fast. I'm so early, the blip didn't happen yet.
I love how no one knows that Spectrum News is a real and very popular news channel in NYC. Their theorist goggles are on tight
Upstate as well. Everyone forgets about us....
Or the fact the Spectrum News is owned by Spectrum Cable, formerly known as Time Warner. So, just an advertising plug and not reference.
Just pointing out for 7-9, but the bug in the house is a cicada, which in symbology tends to represent renewal, rebirth, and transformation, all things that happens to Wanda (and hinted at for her kids) within the last episodes.
Finally! I actually appreciate this show even more after how TFATWS turned out. In my opinion episodes 5 and 6 are the peak of this show.
you didnt like TFATWS?
@@algirdas71 it was OK, just real disappointing in my opinion. It had it's good parts such as Walker, but overall it's kind of a mess.
@@thehallowayboys You're not alone in that. It felt like an eight-episode story that got cut down to six, and it did a lot of "tell, don't show" that kept the narrative feeling distant...
TFATWS wasn't as engaging as WV imo. It was probably more solid as a show because I think the episodes were more consistent in quality but WandaVision's creative choices and unravelling was more compelling to me. The fandom seems pretty split with which show they think is better which is understandable as they're so astronomically different but it's interesting to see
Pietro asking who vision is is an instant red flag since pietro was there was vision was made he was there for the whole thing he was right behind Wanda when she was like I looked in your head and saw destruction
Omg. When you mentioned the twistouts I squealed. I have Monica hair goals.
I GREATLY appreciated the recognition of Monica stylist. Not many people realize it or acknowledge it So THANK YOU!
5:00 I can’t stop watching this
I like how you took a point off for Quicksilver
he was being generous. I think everyone wasnt too pleased by that bait and would have taken off way more.
I'm sorry but the way i laughed at "sex, they had sex" was entirely inapropriate
Small detail that I noticed in the first argument between Wanda and Vision is that when Vision starts to float, he floats in the same way Wanda does. He does her pose with the leg up and arms down, when the real Vision just kinda planks in the air.
Lagos commercial. The first split liquid was red. In my mind not a nod to Scarlet Witch but the lives lost in Lagos. This show. SO many levels!
14:30 I never realised both of them were quicksilver before
4:47 is a win in my book. No hesitation, just straight to the point.
I loved how episode 4 turned the entire series on it's head and into absolute must see TV
Love that you recognized Monica's impeccable twist out. I also love that you pointed out that a team of black stylist did her hair. Representation matters.
From what I've heard about the upcoming Spider-Man and Dr Strange movies, there are a lot of hints about the Multiverse actually being a thing, so the Pietro misdirect might still pan out as we originally hoped...
I hope that's the case. "Ralph Bohner" is a super betrayal to X-Men and Peter Maximoff fans, and it would be great if it gets retcon-ed.
I don't have my hopes up but, yeah, I do think it's at least mildly possible something like that could happen. Everything about how they handled the Evan Peters stunt casting just seems weird. I mean, sure, maybe they did *just* do it to get a cheap pop, but that seems a long way to go - and a lot of people pissed off - just to boost their social media mentions for a couple weeks.
