@@FragrantlyOdious YES. Positive/Humane training is the ONLY intelligent way. Victoria Stilwell is a rare gem, and I'm so grateful that she remains active- training and advocating for dogs. Makes me so angry that CM has another cable show on- I assume that he is still pushing for punitive and dominance-based training, as he used to? - Aversive approaches are not only barbaric and cruel, but have been disproven for the past 20+ yrs- as not only ineffective in changing behavior, but- will CREATE more fear-based aggression as a result. CM's shows in the 90's, based on profound misinformation about dog psychology, have caused GREAT HARM to dogs everywhere, as a result of trusting viewers believing his misguided and uninformed and harmful views. 😢
@@KK-111 positive in dog training means adding something so theirs positive punishment... And positive reward. Negative punishment and negative reward exists too.
Westies and Border Terriers are adorable, but they were originally bred to hunt rats and mice in rough conditions, and have not forgotten that.
That's how I feel about dachshunds. People think that because they're so small and funny-looking, they can't do damage, forgetting that they were used to hunt _badgers_ and that instinct is still in them. Hell, their name literally translates to "badger hound".

I’ve had hard to manage Westies and Border Terriers at the daycare I work at and ooooooof are they difficult but they they’re so cute 😂

16:25 Mel is so cute. ❤. They are such a lovely pair. Only in my dreams will Americans allow this kind of love and acceptance for our future…. It just breaks my heart. When two people love each other, they will move heaven and earth to be together and the entire ocean is not enough to keep them apart. I have to admit I’m jealous.
