Exploring the Junkyard and found a gem!

Going to the junkyard is always an adventure, you never know what you may find! I definitely struck gold once again with this junkyard score! Finding a Nissan 240sx s13 these days is hard enough, but to find yet another complete, stock, and manual abandoned S13 240sx hatch is insane!

    • I love the junkyard runs, or wreckers as we call them here in Australia 😂 You guys are so lucky with the quality car selection you have in the self serve yards. Jdm classics like these very rarely make it to our self serve wrecking yards these days. People sell them for crazy figures, of wreck them and sell the parts for crazy money 😂🙃 Keep killing it dude, absolutely hooked on your channel since I discovered it a couple of weeks back!! They have been really helpful for one of my builds (Datsun 120y or b210 for you guys) I'm putting a ka24det in it, and the ka aren't so common here and we only got them in Nissan Navara's from 99-02. But SR'S & CA'S are so expensive here now and has been done so much so I decided to go with the ka for something different and I hear they are stronger and lighter than the sr! Love the skate clips to 🤘

  • At 4:19, that appears to be a 1978? Ford Pinto Wagon, neat little wagon for sure. Also that Lincoln at the 23:00 mark, the trunk line was meant to mimic the older body styles in the 50s and 60s iirc where the spare tire was mounted externally on the rear bumper and covered with a paint matched plastic/fiberglass cover.

  • Hey Mike! So the "weird thing" you mentioned on the Neon about the windows, was pretty common in Europe, or at least that's what I remember. Power windows on all four doors was mostly an extra, and you had to pay for it if you wanted it. Most people actually didn't care, because on most cases no one was going to sit back there anyways.

    @Ryoneftw@Ryoneftw Жыл бұрын
    • Same with Australia (though tbf most of the cars we got were basically the same as EU models), wasn't *common* by any means but I've seen a fair few.

  • The one thing that used to really annoy me was the condition that others would leave vehicles in when stripping them in the yards. I used to leave everything in good order or even try to save the vehicles from further damage. I don't understand the mentality of other yard users that will ruin an item because they don't need it and prevent others that do need it from getting it.

    @maldaley235@maldaley235 Жыл бұрын
    • They should allow us to go in and save those that are worth saving and not let them be destroyed or ruined by erosion and such, as well as save those cars that are worth saving from being sent to the crusher, some deserve another chance in life by fixing some of those parts that are broken and damage, maybe I watch too many Custom car shows, but that's me

  • 4:00 As a person whose family has had multiple Mazda 626s, this just makes me so sad... Its in absolute mint condition, no rust or anything, that is so rare. And that blue interior???!! So beautiful. What an absolute waste of a great car. And i think those are very rare there in the states, considering that they are already pretty rare here, in europe. Most of them go to waste because of rust. If there is any way possible, then someone needs to save it from beeing scrapped. Its just in too great of shape to be scrapped.

Plus obviously it was a way for dodge to save money on wiring. We currently have a 02 neon sxt 5 speed like that. It's at 281,000 miles right now and still getting us every where we need to go🤞. They are RWD on airbags and usually get converted to coil springs when the airbag system fails likely why that cards in that yard but apart from that they were very solid and reliable, I drove mine 250,000 miles from 60k miles, sold it to a collector and am looking for another, a shame that one ended up there probably over something minor, mine was the same color!

My 240 looked almost new however it never ran unfortunately. I bought it as a teen from a guy who had the motor rebuilt before going on a road trip. It died about 50 miles into the trip. I spent so much time making it look good sitting in it listening to the tunes but with a single mom no male influence and knowing nothing about cars at the time it just sat there looking "pretty". I wish i could have just got it running good once to see how it drove.
