Awesome video. My son just bought a 2015 with this problem, i saw the video on how to remove the door panel, but was not sure of tools to do the repair. Turns out I already have the same staple gun, just gotta go get those staples you showed. Good stuff man.

Yeah, it's a super common issue with these. You'd think they'd get it right by now lol
Thank you. This was a Ford recall. I took my 2014 Exployer in. They fixed both doors. Six months later the passenger door pulled again. The dealership refused to fix the second time. I'm battling with Ford over it.
Yeah, I've read lots of similar stories online. All they do is re-glue it, which obviously doesn't hold

How did you remove that part of the panel?
There's a few screws behind a plate that pops out behind the handle that opens the door and I think the rest was just the plastic push clips on the inside. There are other videos showing how to take the panel off on KZhead
Ford told me $700 to fix this problem. I laughed and walked out.
