It's really nerdy how they are using old techs from the 1900 then transform them into advanced techs. Like that cube torture device that looked like a combination of an old vacuum and an old lawn mower. You don't just simply come up with stuff like that unless you really thought about it. Really impressive from their team.

I’ve been wondering…do you think there’s a connection between X5 in episode 1 holding Mobius’ WAKE magazine and drilling him about his place on the sacred timeline. Then in episode 2, in the first X5 interrogation scene, he tells Mobius to wake up 3 times. Also in the end credits when Owen Wilson’s name is displayed, WAKE magazine is on a desk next to a prune stick. Hmmmm 🤔 Maybe coincidence…just wondering if anyone thought it might be a thing. 😊

And just before they get there, Mobious say he would really love a piece of pie. I think this is a room like "the room of requirements" or what it's called, from Harry Potter, where the room will supply you with whatever you need at a given point.

    • Definitely no whiplash. A big part of the reason that people like Scorsese say marvel isn't cinema is because of how dumbed down, formulaic and self-referential all of this content is, and it shows in droves when you look at the people most prominently enjoying them. It's really staggering how amazing Erik's ability to find easter eggs, investigate tiny clues, or just to find somewhere a shot was filmed irl! I love this content! But when he starts to bring up things like "it's not 616, yet" or his really rudimentary maths equations for 1. how many timelines were pruned and 2. how many people were killed in the prunings, it really becomes obvious that the avid viewers of this stuff aren't really thinking too hard. I still love these videos :)

Instead of a scene where they discuss their plans they put them into action. This is showcased greatly later in the episode when Loki is questioning/torturing X-5, instead of a scene where Loki and Morbius talk about their deception they just play it out. I personally feel like it's better to see it play out then to hear the plan. Moves the story forward!

  • The 616 thing isn't confusing. Every universe believes they are the main continuity. The comic 616 is the main continuity but because the tva aren't aware of the comic universe they assume that they are 616, the same goes for the animated movies, they believe they are the main continuity so they gave the mcu a different designation

Cause in the movies, especially in Thor 1 and The Avengers where this Loki is from, i don't think he ever used combative magic except when fighting the frost giants. He just used Gungnir and The Septer which was a huge loss at exploring his creative magic uses.

  • 24:45 Wait a sec, if all the timelines are labels 616 -whatever variant, then universe 838 is not a branch variant for sure. It's a completely different timeline from start to finish with it's own variants unless that universe also has a Kang that sealed itself off. Kinda big implications with that shot, it answers the debate of if the multiverse existed before this explosion, and yes it did.
