    • That’s the thing with neighbors. Sometimes you feel like you hit the lottery and other times ….well, not so much. We shared fence lines with 2 neighbors, one quickly chipped in when we let him know what we were doing….the other made all sorts of recommendations then “grew alligator arms” when it was time to share the bill. Later, she had the gall to ask if *my* trees were going to block *her* view of *my* pond….yeah, probably so

    • @@genesispuredeaf2390 That sort of neighbor must be more common than we expect. I have one who would present such a suggestion as being a "win win" proposition.

  • After Chris is done, the beavers will probably invite their buddies over to see what they've done with the place.

  • In the 70s, my father had a swamp dredged to make a pond. He went to the State, and invited them to release trapped beavers in to the pond (very new concept at the time). They released dozens of beavers. They all looked at the muddy mess he created and left. 😆 Took about 5 years for it to settle, and the beavers to start moving back in. Last I seen it, there were dozens of beaver lodges.

  • Definitely a first for Chris. It's goung to seriously help keep down the mosquito population once it's cleared out if they stock it with fish and it gets a healthy frog population as well. As is that backyard has to be a mosquito hell in the summer. We all know that Chris is the pond master when it comes to restoring a neglected pond.

  • I think once Chris is done, the beavers will be so impressed that they’ll pass the word on and other beavers will be hiring Chris to fix their pond dams. :) In all seriousness there is no one that does this sort of work better than Chris, and I’ve see quite a few others.

  • So… Chris took the long way around to say he is formed a pond repair partnership with a gang of beavers… 🤣🤣🤣 I don’t think I’ve ever seen Chris let nature takes its course with a pond dam… 🤣🤣🤣 Some of the best of Chris's videos have him in sketchy situations... like when the bucket sinks deep unexpectedly. You can hear the trepidation in his voice. I'm glad Chris still uses the old 220 on projects. It was his first brand new piece of heavy equipment and my personal favorite out of all of his equipment. I listen to the old 220 as much as watch the video. It always has the same 1800 rpm sound. I bet Chris can hear it in his sleep.

When I was living in a place called Cooks Mills, at the end of my father's property, that waterway was called Lyons Creek. The road north of it was called Lyons Creek Road. Cooks Mills is at the eastern side of Welland. It was a wonderful place to live, before I moved out in November of 1991.
