The drawing on the ax was made by etching the metal in a solution of ferric chloride. Metal etching is a very exciting process that anyone can repeat. In some of my other videos I give detailed explanations of the ingredients I use.

What ingredients do you use? Great video, outstanding craftsmanship. But some some context and list of ingredients would really help a lot.
Acido ferrico
Master of your craft. Thank you for these.
Absolutely beautiful work! I was wondering what kind of chemicals are you using?
You are a great artist. From a simple item you make a piece of art.
You're truly a master of your craft
Excellent work! I like the aged effect from the pitting near the blade, and, of course, the artwork itself is admirable- nice job!
Thank you for your attention to my work.
It looks great. It's nice to take such a tool in your hands!
Brother u art is sick we need more influences like u
Thank you for your attention to my work.
Can you provide a list of materials, what's in the bottle, type of spray paint, etc...
You are my biggest fan when it comes to metal etching! Awesome work
Only JUST TODAY (03/27/2023) discovered your Channel . This is VERY impressive . I was LOOKING for a way to do this that would be simple enough to actually DO - and it _seems_ I may have FOUND it ! - _THANKS_ !

You know part of a how to video is the explanation and being a video that comes across real well WHEN YOU TALK
Wonderfully done! Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.
Wow that looks fantastic. So cool will have to put this on my bucket list of things to try. Great video nice work.

Thank you for your attention to my work.
Awesome work !!! I'm learning a lot from your instructional videos !!!
Thank you for your attention to my work. I hope my videos are useful for you.
Kirill, how long do you wait after painting with Alkyd paint, before you start removing some of the paint? My paint was very brittle and hard to remove. The picture came out good, but the paint was very hard to work with! Thanks!
Nice video. The ax looks great! You are very good at drawing! Have a nice rest of the week
Thank you for your attention to my work.
Me encanta tu trabajo. 😍
bro brought the axe's soul back
What type is the white spray that you use and also the gray one?
excellent work brother .... how much do u charge to make customized pieces
Perfeito..muito boa a Arte.parabns...
Holy Moly that is Awesome .............
Thank you for your attention to my work.
Tú arte está brutal
Amazing but can u tell us what u use to etch the metal thanks
What alternatives to the alkyd paint are there? I can't find this in the uk for some reason and the other common spray paints make large chips when scratching.
What types of paint are you using in the vid? Nice work!!
Thank you for your attention to my work. I use alkyd spray gray primer/white paint.
Another masterpiece sir
Thank you
Nice work

That's a roofer's hatchet. nice work.
The kids screaming in the background during some very monumental shit checks out 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
what's the chemicals used
Que liquidos usas?
Excellent work, what chemical do you use for the design enhancement?
first of all i been watching your videos for i think five hours now, your work is AMAZING, im trying to reproduce this into cocktails shakers made for stainless steel 316, so far i cant be sure if i will get the depth of the engraving that you achive here with carbon steel, also the paint you use for either the electrolysis process and the clorhine acid is the same? brands are quite diferent from where i am so im not sure what kind i should look for. BALLISTOL SCHNELL-BRUNIERUNG says it cant be used in something thats over 3% Cr, food grade stainless steel is between 16-18% so i dont know wich alternative can use. i know its a lot to ask but if you have any pointers ill eternaly gratefull to you.
Thank you for your attention to my work. Stainless steel can be etched with ferric chloride, but the solution must be heated to 60 degrees Celsius. I usually pickle stainless steel electrochemically. Galvanized. If I understand your question correctly.
did you end up figuring out a good paint to use for this here in the us?
Boa noite! Quais os produtos utilizados ?
1:58 What kind of liquid is the black water tank?
god that looks good
Thank you for your attention to my work.
what is that black stuff you dip it in
Why there aren´t explanations, what materials are used. It´s like the good old 20´s, where Harold Lloyd is moving. Good work, anyway. Thank you !!
Thank you for your attention
@+10:14, before you sanded, it looked REALLY cool, black design on black. Can that be done?
MAN I WISH I HAD A QUARTIER OF YOUR TALENT
Thank you for your attention to my work.
Adding some English subtitles would go a long way to making your videos even more enjoyable and helpful. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Hello According to your experience of drawing on different metals, the quality of the image was the best with which metal? Brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel?
I love how you do your etching. Im always using Vinyl stickers or Vinyl tape for my resist. I really want to do it your way. Can you please tell me where you get your Alkyd spray paint? Thank you.
Thank you for your attention to my work. Thanks for the comment. I live in Ukraine, I buy paint in the nearest store. This is the cheapest paint in a can. I can't tell where exactly you can buy it. I wish you creative success.
@@KirillRunz I did some experiments with Engine Enamel. It seems to work really well. The Etchings that you do, are some of the best metal etching I have ever seen. Your process is so refined. You are a huge inspiration for me and my channel. Thanks for being so awesome. lol

Boa tarde amigo. Qual e nome desse papel que você usa pra tranferir o desenho
What liquid products do you use and why do you use gray paint and then white?
Sir, can you please tell me all the chemicals you used for this, I am a poor man running a small factory, I think that I can develop my self-business through this kind of design. If you can, please inform me about this. .im srilanka
I've tried so many times and failed doing etching what kinda clean plastic or paper did you use to transfer the drawing and what chemicals did you use plz and thank you your the G.O.A.T !!!!?!
Thank you for your attention to my work. To transfer the picture, I use velvet matte tracing paper. I paint metal with alkyd spray paint or primer. I do the metal etching itself in a solution of ferric chloride or by galvanic method in salt water. For the contrast of the picture, I use a liquid for cold bluing. I wish you creative success.
Nice baro
verry good you
Thank you for your attention to my work.
👍👍👍
Show de bola
Well, lol, I don't know about easy, but that is very beautiful work.. I would need a computer and a laser engraver to be able to do something like that.
Why did you first put the whole axe in ironchloride an then painted again? For less contrast? Is that FeCl3?
que pintura en aerosol usaste
Cool video! Is the brown liquid Ferric acid? And are you using white spray paint? And at the end you used a small paint brush and applied something blue, what was that? Amazing art work.
Luke I just watched the video yes it has to be ferric or something very similar like muriatic converted and the tru blue is a rifle or barrel blueing or blackening compound used to restore rifle barrels and can be picked up at most sporting goods stores and I believe he used both grey and white spray paint. Have a great and mightily blessed day my brother.
Thank you, I appreciate the help.
I have watched almost every video of yours, you are an artist. But I have one question What is the tool that you use for scraping the coat on the axe?
He's using a woodburner. You can find a decent one for $20 that comes with interchangeable tips.
