Our new 300 ton hydraulic press is now ready and we took trip to factory to test it out! We crush all the viewers favorites like paper, cd disks, books, playing cards and some lego brick

    • @@kiloyardstare That's the part that surprises the hell out of me though. I'd think they would it, at least for a certain number of videos. Plus, exposing your company name like that only matters if someone buys your product. And popular though this channel may be, I don't think too many of us are in the market for a new hydraulic press.

  • I remember a while ago there was a large ball bearing that they couldn't crush. It must have been at least five years ago. I'd love to see them try again.

    • another channel tried and i think they needed like 350 tons to cause damage, large ball bearings are terrifying. they like blew up their whole studio lmao, didnt even dent the ball, they shattered the block it was sitting on.

    • @@Bassmasterwitacaster Typically machines used for stress testing are built for specific testing of specific types of materials and calibrated for tat purpose. Usually this wouldn't be something that has all the features this machine has for all these different scenarios. Now I would say this kind of multi-usability and functionality for destroying RANDOM materials is something you never see, but if such a thing exists, some google or chat GPT expert will come to prove me wrong, so I won't say it is so. It just seems that way in my limited experience.

  • You should definitely do seatbelts vs thin chains and similar pull tests! It will be interesting to see how much a seat belt is going to stretch before breaking (the stretching is intentional to reduce the g-forces applied to humans).

  • 16:50 I think you should make one video about calibrating the built-in force sensor vs your existing force sensors. If the new built-in sensor have repeatable results but are just missing the calibration, you can apply correction curve to the results.

    • Oh, and if Profi Press does its own firmware for this press, they could be able to support calibration lookup table for the built-in sensor so you might be able to make it equally accurate to the old sensor.

  • The CD stack was incredible and slightly terrifying. Guaranteed to be plastic shards embedded into soft surfaces like insulation, etc. all over that building that will never be found :D Congrats on an ever-growing channel and a partnership where it looks like the people are just as happy and into it as you are.   • You should see the damage my crew at work can do with our plastic molding presses. 38 presses ranging from 650 ton to 1,250 tons. Most being 1,000 ton. These are in the middle range of molding press sizes. There are much larger presses. 4,000 and 5,000 ton. The repair costs for damage is also very expensive.

    • You will still hear it, its just not too loud so you can hear also other things at the same time. I have now -20db gain for it on editing so the wall is going to probably do about the but still keep other sounds from the crush

  • Pringles VS Tower: straight and bent. With the Tombi Tower, I realized that even if all the blocks had been perfectly shaped and balanced, it would still crush curved away because the wood grains are not perfect. But it was interesting to see the Pringles crusbed perfectly straight down, due to how homogenous the materials all are (including the food.)

  • For something that can exert 300 tons of force, it seems insanely small. That's a lot of force and the things smaller than many vehicles. Crazy that presses of that magnitude and such used to take up entire areas of factory floors, now it's something you can just drop in a home garage.

Maybe you can produce your videos with the sound like you are doing it now and can also put in the part only with the sound of the crushing item. Maybe by using two microphones. Cheers 😊

    • I can add one more microphone for the pump and adjust the sound level if you cant hear it trough hydraulic lines. I think you will still hear it pretty well even with this. My main goal is also to hear something else at the same time 😅

  • Kudos to Profi Press. Thank you for giving the power to continu the adventure. I miss the hand valve. Love the "force and distance graph" as well as the " bell ring " the machine makes. I hope we learn more about the machine. QUESTION: Is the motor 480 V three phase ?? Be careful with pulling. Chains snap backwards with so much force and velocity.

  • I've often wondered why Lauri doesn't sell the crushed remnants as souvenirs (not the dangerous items but say the flattened paper or tennis ball). Or would it be a legal/liability nightmare?
