  • I'm a ROS fan but I admire Mark's sportsmanship.Appears very genuine in his appreciation of opponents game in defeat & victory alike. His game is definitely different from everyone else's as he plays shots others wouldn't think of playing.A true Gentleman imo.

    • I agree as well. I'm a fan of Ronnie O'Sullivan, but if he loses to Mark Williams, it wouldn't bother me at all. Williams is also a fantastic player with a wide range of shots and impressive safety skills, as you and I both know.

  • 12:33 Here you can see the digital display under the table. This display tells the temperature of the table which is controlled by heaters, which keep it at the perfect temperature according to the environment of the venue. If a snooker table wasn’t heated and was left to survive on its own throughout the course of a tournament then it would inevitably become too cold and damp to play on. It would also cause quite an uneven surface. The usual temperature is kept at 50 degree celcius, but this heat, by the time it reaches the table slate and the baize, is about 20 to 21 degree celcius which is the optimum for playing conditions. :)) Thank you for the video Cesar. :))

  • I've been watching (and playing) snooker for well over 45 years and I've not seen anyone in that time who plays the table the way Ronnie does. That first yellow to split the pink and black is just outrageous but he does stuff like that so often. There was a blue he played in the mixed doubles where he ended up splitting the pink and black and the way he played it was the only possible way it could have turned out perfectly to release both colours and finish on a simple red. He is an absolute genius at geometry. No-one before has ever had such complete control over the entire table. Everyone else plays to split reds when they need them open, Ronnie plays to open the black on the first possible opportunity. He is absolutely unique.

THE KING FOREVER

  • Two things: - What a great match! Loved the potting in this, from both players - The famous new chalk, `that has gotten rid of kicks - I'm very glad that element of the game is gone. It was a stupid period in snooker, that small chunks of chalk could murder the point of contact and throw the ball straight. Good riddance to kicks, thanks to new chalk tech! Cesar, you're the tip-top of editing. Thanks, yet again, so much, for your hard work. Much love from Ireland.. 👍🙏

  • The yellow triangle next to the players' names is quite helpful since the camera angle doesn't always tell me who is shooting. But it could be more helpful if the triangle turned red when the player is trying to hit a red ball, but can stay yellow when the player is trying to hit a coloured ball.

    • When you hit a cue ball with the cue usually part of the chalk remains on the white ball, in this case this "chalked part" makes contact with the black ball which makes the contact between both balls not clean and causes a miss, this is called a "kick" and we usually know when it happens because the cue ball jumps a little bit on contact. This video is from 2016, nowadays a new brand of chalk is used which makes kicks less common, but Judd Trump and Ronnie still use the old chalk as far as I know
