  • Thank you for all your kinds words of appreciation for my content. Unfortunately my channel has come under attack by a company in the US called SuperBam Inc who use bots. They have copyright claimed a large proportion of my material perhaps on behalf of WST - they target smaller channels that are seeing growth and higher views. Unfortunaly they don't watch the videos and assess whether it is "fair usage", they don't care . As a result KZhead have suspended me, and I will probably have to take down all the material including this upload. Currently this rogue company will be earning revenue from all my videos and they are well known for these tactics. They even had the cheek to claim two videos filmed by myself in the Crucible. Unfortunately in the current format I can't proceed, I will have to take down all my match edits, re-apply to KZhead and only upload my own footage from exhibitions and fan footage in the future. I see no other way forward right now 😔 This video articulates the situation with SuperBam Inc very well. I hope it helps some other creators out there kzhead.info/sun/nMuRiaZ-sKaFhq8/bejne.html

I remember watching someone explain that randomly copyright striking people is a terrible idea. Look into that, I'm pretty sure you can contest the strikes on your own videos. After they lose the strikes on those they might get banned for false strikes.

    • @@FBarbarian Thanks, if it was in the general public domain then I would contest it, but it's three videos I shot inside the Crucible. I reckon they'll defend the takedown because of this in their ticket T&C's - The unauthorised use of mobile phones, laptops, tablets, cameras, video or any form of recording or digital transmission equipment is strictly prohibited and may be confiscated until the end of the session. It appears they are just claiming anything they can on my channel, they are not taking the videos down - they just want the revenue. That's how they work unfortunately.

    • Yep, when Hendry--one of the greatest of all time--sends out platitudes like that (paraphrasing: I could pot a few balls but could never play like this) that is pure class. This was Ronnie in top gear. If you've been watching him for a long time you know when he has his eye in and enjoys it. Yes, balls are clearly being potted, but when he's in the zone, he strokes the cue, minimal addressing and glides around the table (much like his earlier hero Joe Davis) and rarely misses. About as good as the game of snooker has ever been played. A similar match was Ronnie v Rickie Walkden at Masters 2014. Almost 10 years ago and he is still the man to beat. Ridiculous. Also nice to see Jan Verhaas reffing. This fine dude actually hails as a ref from about when Ronnie turned pro. An adonis of a man back in those days and still has a big presence. Have a look for early 90s footage.

  • American snooker player here. The fact he's doing this at 48 puts the icing on the cake for me. I'm 47 and have played since my mid teens, but had a long break in between. For you middle-aged chaps, don't think it's downhill from here, my game has improved the past few years by having more confidence, sharpening fundamentals, and focusing on proper tempo. I'm not quite at the level I was in my 20's, but I'm heading in that direction. Focusing on my tempo and cue delivery has made the biggest difference.

    • I can 100% relate to this. I played from mid teens also. Got pretty good late teens into early 20s...missed a pink for my first century and made regular 40s 50s 60s 70s etc then I had children and had a 20yr gap. I have been back playing the last two years and I'm playing the best snooker of my life. Strange because I'm also dealing with health issues which I feel if weren't there ide be even more consistent. I feel like maturity is helping me this time around. I'm playing the game different, not just relying on my potting ability but playing the game correctly, picking the right shots and positional play is alp round better than when I was young. I missed a black for a 79 clearance just last week. Make 40 50 breaks regularly now. My dream has always been to make a century! It would be so cool to get my name ingraved on the century placard in my snooker club along with all the other great players that are from my area and there are a few. Just love the game, always did. Watching Ronnie at his best is something else. You can also learn a lot from this footage! If you really study how he goes about his game with shot choice etc I feel u can pick up some very valuable info. Just like a boxer studying the art of boxing....it is an art from you know, snooker that is. Keep going fella🎱💫💯💥

  • In my opinion, Ronnie is playing the best snooker of his career. There have been times when he was more flamboyant and astounding, but what he's doing now is a different kind of Ronnie. First off, he's playing more conservatively, not just letting his talent run the game. Second, he's strategically using long pots as a dagger into the heart of his opponent. Imagine being on the other side of what you consider a safe shot only to find he's potted it like he's playing on a pool table. Third, he's unwilling to let his opponents dictate the game he's going to play. Even though he's not the sharpest on any given day, he's willing to grind out a frame, then have the occasional run that can bring him a frame victory. He's finding new ways to win, and best of all, he's forcing his opponents to beat him, instead of his mind causing Ronnie to defeat himself. Look at his competitors: Trump, Higgins, Robertson. All the top players, they're powerless to compete with a man playing 3D chess to their checkers.

  • I would argue that the O'Sullivan of the last few months is as good as he has ever been. Not just winning games with his A and B game, but tournaments as well. At that level, there really isn't much more can be done. Except another world title.

  • Great video editing, commentary, all on spot. This is one of if not THE greatest displays in the game of snooker, such an ease and confidence, when he reaches this level, he is UNSTOPABLE, and I love Ding and Trump and Higgins, but this is next level. I hope i get to see Ronnie play next year in Crucible, the talent of this magnitude should be enjoyed while he plays, eventough how its looking, he could be playing at the top of his game for many years to come. All hail the KING

    • Thanks, that's really kind of you and means a lot. Unfortunately my channel has come under attack by a company in the US called SuperBam who use bots. They have copyright claimed a large proportion or my material perhaps on behalf of WST - they target smaller channels that are seeing growth and higher views.

  • One of the the greatest, cleanest snooker performances I’ve ever witnessed, probably THE greatest.. The Rocket at the top of his towering game, just annihilating Ding, who was game but didn’t have a chance, Ronnie pounced on his few mistakes and buried him. Historically great performance, albeit in a short, best of 11 format.

It’s like they don’t want to have the fan base grow and are blinded by greed. Thank you for putting this on KZhead I hope your issues are resolved.
