    • if you think that these shurikens are for self-defense or good for self-defense, you should get rid of that thinking right away. they are weapons of distraction to buy you some time for escaping a dangerous situation. they are extremely ineffective at neutralizing a threat. you'd rather get a Ruger Mark IV .22 LR and practice shooting it until your grouping is extremely tight at 25 yard.

  • BRASIL.

  • The shurikan was known to Ninjas, but it was actually a weapon of the Samurai. Shurikens were expensive as they were made of iron. Ninjas were common (read poor) people. Ninjas were used for spying so they often had to run. With a shuriken in your belt you might get easily wounded. Shurikans are also ineffective against moving targets. Well, anything for a good show, I suppose.

    • Truth. Ppl think samurai used only 2 swords: katana and wakizashi. Tbh they had good arsenal: bows, yari(spear), tetsubo(2handed mace for smashing armor and bones, to dismount some1 by breaking horse leg), tanto(dagger), nodachi(big 2handed sword used in cavalry charge or as a infantry vs cavalry), nagamaki(2handed sword with blade and handle of the same length).

    • @@-nothing-...417 I dont know how much I can help you because the most of my knowledge came to me in a meditation and then filled my body whit that Ninja wisdom. Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi and Stephen K. Hayes have made some fine books about Ninjutsu. The best would be if you can find a place in your area where where you can practise in a team. If that aint possible it can be a great support for you to practice karate, aikido, kung fu or taekwondo, just to mention a few good things. I really hope that you can fulfill your childhood dream because that you deserves. There is a lot of wisdom to find in the ninja knowledge. But just start where you are and do the things you can do, I guess that can open some doors for you. And remember always to follow your heart.
