    • «The guy in shades doesn't seem to appreciate it at all»... well, that's because you don't speak the language. The "guy in shades" said that he loves chinese culture, he loves kung-fu because it's not only a martial art but a whole philosophy of life and he said that he even studied mandarin some years. So, I would say that the "guy in shades" was the one who appreciate it the MOST.

Our definition is basically "to keep at something even when you don't want to or when it's difficult" and the definition of Discipline in China is more or less "do it because I told you to do it and do it well" and then it gets done whether you like it or not regardless if you have a choice or not. That's the mindset of discipline in China. I know this from someone who has lived there for over a decade.

That’s dishonorable and automatically shamed from the community. Ur prob talking abt that dude who does Kung fu and mma, he’s not a real shallow monk warrior. Can’t believe he submitted to the snakes of western media

    • @Dev Hash Your monk only started Shaolin temple and helped with the monks’ physical training. They came up with all the styles of gung fu on their own.

      @user-kz7wj5fl9r@user-kz7wj5fl9r3 жыл бұрын
    • @Dev Hash Gung fu was around nearly 1000 years before your man showed up. He created Shaolin Temple, that is possibly true. He didn’t “formulate” gung fu, he only gave the monks their physical training. The only style of gung fu you could hope to associate with him is shaolinquan, and even that is debatable. But let’s say for argument’s sake that he is responsible for shaolinquan. So what? There are so many more gung fu styles not even associated with him.

      @user-kz7wj5fl9r@user-kz7wj5fl9r3 жыл бұрын
    • @Dev Hash Gung fu originated in China from 11th century B.C (Before Christ/Before Common Era) to 403 BC. Bodhidharma came to China around 520 A.D (After death/ Common Era). Don’t believe everything you see in movies. I’m aware there’s a Bollywood film that gives you the information you’re using right now. It’s wrong. That film is historically inaccurate.
