Djokovic vs Murray (2015 Australian Open) Final Highlights Full HD
Novak Djokovic beats British number one Andy Murray in the Australian Open final by three sets to one, becoming only the second man to win five titles.
Djokovic, the world number one, came through 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 6-0.
The match was Murray's fourth Australian Open final - a tournament he has never won. Djokovic - the top seed and favorite to win - had never lost a final in Melbourne.
At almost four hours long, the final produced some world-class tennis.
Murray has won two of the eight grand slam finals he had played in whilst Djokovic has won eight of the 15 he has appeared in.
A tight first set gave an indication of the long game that lay ahead. Both players broke serve and the set headed for a tie break, which Djokovic just managed to edge.
In the second set, Djokovic began to stamp his authority on the match. The Serb powered into a 4-2 lead, but Murray fought back, winning three games in a row to make it 5-4. After failing to capitalize on a set point, Djokovic won a break back and the set headed into another tie break.
The tie break produced some of the best tennis of the match, with Murray going on to claim four set points. He won the third, leveling out the match.
Murray carried his momentum through to the third set, breaking Djokovic's serve at the first attempt. Djokovic appeared to be suffering from an ankle injury, but he managed to break back and pull level at 2-2. As the match passed the three-hour mark with the third set tied at 3-3, Murray missed a break point and momentum swung towards five-time champion Djokovic. After the Serb took a 5-3 lead, a frustrated Murray threw his racket on the ground. Djokovic broke Murray's serve again to take the third set 6-3.
At the start of the fourth set, Djokovic pounced again, breaking Murray's serve to take a 2-0 lead. Murray appeared to be rattled, losing serve again to hand Djokovic a commanding three-game advantage. Djokovic showed no sign of letting his lead slip, and powered through to a 5-0 lead. The world number one served for the match and claimed his fifth Australian Open title.

Djokovic can play with same intensity for all 5 sets which is not possible for anyone else till now.
Murray always fights well in the first 2 sets against Novak in many matches. But after that,it is always one man show.
R P yup. Basically sums their rivalry up lol
@@Laland_1196 No, Murray is not physically able to fully implement his plan for the match against Djokovic.
The head to head is 11-14. It’s close. Murray has beaten Djokovic plenty of times. But at the AO he comes up short. So your summary is not really accurate

If you watch all these matches between them you can just see murray does not play aggressive enough. Hes trying to hang with djokovic on the baseline its just not possible for anybody but nadal and most of the time he can't even do it. Murray just doesn't play aggressive enough on the first ball
djokovic is closing on to become greatest player of all time
He doesn't need to overpass 17 GS.. If he reach 17 he will be the greatest without any doubt because he has better H2H with Fed, more masters, NCYGS, better H2H with Nadal.. Even with 16 GS he will be the greatest because Fed had lame competition in his prime ..
Yea but Nadal and Fed are both well past their prime. And Fed really didn't have bad competition in his prime.
Ehhh idk Everyone said tha about Rafa in 2013 and 2014 and now look at him plus Novak just made some concerning statements about being no.1 and winning GS's.
I admit I was wrong there but with the questionable results and injuries I just don't think he will full cement himself in the GOAT conversation atm
well to be honest i think djokovic can play atleast 4 more years at top of tennis...!!!!
Djokovic was just unbeatable
Nice work !
Thanks! :)
Murray should know the defensive style of play does not work against Djokovic. If he had a proper coach, they will have told him that. He needs to be more offensive. Ivan Lendl made him play agressively and not surprising Murray won ALL his biggest titles under him. Coincidence?
Lol what? Murray is one of the most aggressive players I’ve ever seen. He played too aggressively during this match, leading to unforced errors at key moments

You were 100% right
Don't worry, since 2015, now 2023, he has got 11 more grand slams and is just one less than Nadal
This one was Murray's golden chance win the Australian Open. Easy put away at 5-5 in the first set tie break would have brought up set point, but went for too much and missed it. Wins the second set (should have won it at 5-4). Has a break at the start of the third and then misses an easy up the line pass at 3-3 30-40. But both times he fell for Djokovic's rope a dope tactics- he was staggering around the court like a man who's been wandering round the desert for a week with no water and then made a miraculous recovery as soon as Murray started missing. Funny that. But Murray should have known better and kept his eye on what he was doing and ignored Novak.
Sam sharp very sharp and bang on comment.. rope a dope tactic haha, that's what I have been yelling on all the forums.. Murray was the winner of this match he was beating joker in bh and fh but then the snake starts acting like an injured man and that puts off Murray and this tactic really works against Murray who mentally the weakest among big 4.. shameless champion.. Murray also knew it, but dint say a word.. Joker tried the same against Stan but Stan saw it through, C Busta has openly criticized joker for this treacherous act
@@koooorn1 hahah . tell this to Nishikori and hope he will win a GS using this tactic
@@koooorn1 You are the snake.
@@koooorn1 I learned a new phrase “rope a dope” today from Sam Sharp and I agree with you Murray looked better, just slightly, than Djokovic both fh and bh. So as a Djokovic fan I admitted that. Now what you’re wrong about is you claimed Djokovic faked and Murray fell for the trap or something. Absolutely nonsense. Djokovic doesn’t beat opponents by hitting. A lot of times, especially vs Federer, Nadal, Murray he is out-hit but he still won because he has the ability to run, scramble or do any weird thing to put the ball back on court one more time, many times, to increase his chance to win rallies. So yes, sometimes it looks ugly like the way you guys described here using the guy in the desert analogy, but did he fake that. Hell no. He was fighting hard and breathing hard and had no time to think about faking. You assumed in tennis if you hit better you’ll win. Wrong. In tennis, and a lot of sports, defense is also important. You want to hear my take on this? Two things that helped Djokovic win: his grit and splits. His grit was just better than Murray’s. And his splits to save a ball, Murray didn’t even have.
@@koooorn1 i used to think so too but see the length of the last 2 sets nad novaks tactics. he was clearly struggling physically so he started serving bigger and trying to serve and volley and even uncharacteristically aggressive in rallies and tried to finish lot of points at the net. he hardly run after the 2nd set and the match was over in about an hour. purely relied on slapping the ball deep with his hand skills and finishing points fast
Do you have the matches between djokovic and tsonga & tsonga vs wawrinka at Roland garros 2012? Can u pls send me the links?
Murray missed the chance to win@ 11th point in tie break.. Set 1
it s all about his mental estate... you play tennis with your head and legs...
It is clear when Novak finds his rhythm it is over for any opponent
Outstanding!!!!
Is this sped up a little?
Man has commented the same thing in 2 different highlights of this match
25:45 turning point in the match. Not just that novak saved break point and held serve, but you could see him finding the fuel for the rest of the match in real time. The determination in his eyes is undeniable for those next 7 or 8 points and then there was no turning back
The thing which let Murray down was that he never approached the net in a long rally making him lose the point
He did that on purpose he doesn’t wanna get passed he only approaches if his approach shot is perfect
The commentary is so much louder than the match
The Djokovic's clothes were very beautiful in 2015. Especially in Australia and Garros.

Murray.. Only man to break Djokovic more than twice in a set consistently. It's what happens when you have two players with the same playing style. Djokovic though is slightly better offencively. Great when these guys play
The problem about Andy is he's not as mentally strong as Novak that's why he lose most of his matches against him.
Not slightly but very huge fare
When murray hits the ball, looks like there is no power behind it. He is too defensive. At best he can win 3-4 more slams if he improves his game.
Well I guess he knows his game better than anyone in this world. We need not be pseudochampions and tell what professionals have to do.
He played really aggressive in his early career(2005-2011) and how many grandslams did he win at that time?
Ivan Lendl was a better coach, he helped Murray win all his GS titles and lots of Masters 1000. Then Murray decided to hire a female coach from 2014-2016, and he has won only 2 major titles during those years.
Andy Murray won 2 Wimbledon titles
It is tiring just by watching they play, especially Murray.
are they not tired?
Murray lacks agressivnes
Djokovic's serve was a joke! Murray was literally stepping casually into the court while receiving a weak serve! This weakness troubled him in RG final against Wawrinka.
It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
Poor Murray , lost at least three times to Djokovic in the finals of AO

Peak gamesmanship from Novak here when he went down a break in the 3rd ser and then won like 11/12 games
Murray should've won this match
It's so frustrating. The 2013 and 2015 final, Novak was playing well but was there for the taking. After 2 close sets leading to 1-1 Murray just mentally collapses and allows Novak to really turn it on. He's just not good enough. I'm British and I'm happy to say that.
Djokovic faked an injury, which distracted murray. Then Novak cruised to victory

He wasn't faking injury,as you can se he won that title later. He only slipped of the court,i don't see anything bad here. And you don't have to be popular to be a good player. In fact, Novak is the GOAT and he will beat all Roger's and Rafa's records, you'll see.
@@stefanp8985 But he was cause he took a medical time out just when Murray was beginning to take control of the match and it wasn't a slip haha; there's nothing wrong if he is actually injured but to come back from the timeout and raise his game to such a level it suggests foul play and underhand tactics. He's done it in other matches before when he awkwardly jerks or falls over when he loses a point as if to blame it on that, then raises his game massively straight after . @@tom0176devo coward speak for yourself. That's why Murray is literally a nobody outside your British lands. Lol
Murray would've won many more slams had he just goddamn approached the net. Pushing players way out of the court is something that he excelled at. For some weird reason he didn't finish the rally by going to the net and allowed his opponents to readjust and prolong the rally. I don't get why he didn't approach the net - especially since he didn't have a particularly venomous forehand/backhand. Just weird.
He does approach just not against djokovic. He chooses when to approach only on the perfect approach shot so he does not get passed.
TRUE. There's barely anything to choose between them. Novak is just mentally stronger. Murray needed to top mentor like Ivan Lendl. He would have won a lot more if he had him for longer.
