  • Never understood why Roger always tried to blast Novak off the court. Djoko is the best counterpuncher ever. Wawrinka was the only person who could do that.

    • A surprising statistic ; will take your word for it - and here's another ; in their only two grand slam final meetings , Wavrinka was 100% successful winning both meetings in 4 sets comfortably

  • A great level from both ; difference btw Stan playing Djokovic & Fed - Stan very consistently kept the ball deep ( not allowing djokovic to step in & hit easy winners ) & , Stan hit flatter and more often more penetrating ground strokes on both sides than did Fed. Although not quite the variety of shot of Fed , Stan match up against Djokovic s relentless back court style quite a lot better

  • Another super upload! Thank you! Roger's aggresive tactics backfired on him in this match. He missed many shots and Djokovic had an answer for this game that day. He was unplayable in the first 2 aeta and Roger changed tactics a little too late in the game.

    • Fed was striking the ball well, but tactically he was playing really stupid tennis imo. You can't keep rushing the net on a slow hardcourt like this, especially against Nole. You have to rally from the baseline even if you don't want to, because otherwise you just lose.

  • Horrible match from Federer, his worst AO match against Novak. 58% first serves, 35% unreturned serves vs Novak who still wasnt the server he has become with Ivanisevic, aproaching the net so many times in Roddick fashion(mid court slices ) against the best passer on hard, missing crucial forehands on tight points etc .

    • Would anyone mention the age difference between Sinner or Alvaraz when they play with Djokovic? Who are at their peak fitness and about 15 years younger than Djpkovic? Or is the age difference excuse reserved for only for Federer vs Djokovic? Quite convenient. 28 vs 34 compared to 22 vs 36/37.
