That's a clean pass for VW emissions regulations.
this is the best vehicle so far, quick lets advertise how good this vehicle is. In a generic eco advert.
and all the vw owners didnt care, as long as it did a good 1000km on a tank of fuel. So the question is, hows the tank on fuel lol
Loool
LMAO
lets wait until usa gets a fine
If I remember correctly, Milo said that he will plow the field for the neigbhour, who helped to move the tank, once the tank is drivable :)
I remember it to it was a while ago for sure
Yess, that is very true, but... there are currently crops planted on that field, so they have to wait until the crops are harvested
IF the field was not in use,so i guess we have to wait till its autumn,
Yeah its not that drivable though
@@batay-anamadojr.a3813 It will definately be more driveable for autumn :P
Just discovered these guys. Love that the captions are in English. Many great foreign channels that don't have English captions. Great job guys!
I have the same issue, I just found this channel and subscibed when I saw the subtitles.
Indeed, thanks for Closed Captions in English!
@@jazzandbluesculturalherita2547 the caption are wrote by themselves, not KZhead
@@jazzandbluesculturalherita2547 😅
@@tirpitzyt3088 I am not a content creator to know for sure, but I'm not convinced that captions are created AND translated into English automatically. I can grasp that Auto-Captions in EnglIsh are generated automatically for submitted English content, but not sure for other languages. If that actually happens, it's a pretty neat trick.
It takes some serious determination to restore to running condition a derelict tank like that. My congrats to the two of you!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The neighbours now think you've chosen a new Pope
Only one? A few dozen popes!
Geezus, starting that engine sounds like a bunch of bricks in a washing machine, holy hell! Glorious!
I was trying to think of an apt analogy. You nailed it.
sounds like a frikkin glue factory - awesome!
The engine is absolutly being abused in these clips. Im pretty sure i can hear around 2 cilinders not working, and im pretty sure the timing is off on litterly every cilinder. It also knocks like crazy. Il give them a week of running time before the engine blows lol
@@Fhyziqal >knock >diesel Lmfao
That engine didn't start for 29 years....
That one startup test undid the low-emissions progress of like 10,000 EVs. Great video though, really impressive!
The technical term for that engine sound is: A sack of hammers.
I thought it was a bag of nails lol
Yeah but she growls when warmed up.....
@@swarajkelsey9648 🤣🤣🤣
Following this rebuild since the beginning and it looks AWESOME! I work with diesel engines like this and the secret to stop the smoking at the start up is to use the preheater since the temperature is near 60°C. If less thei start to put unburnt diesel trough the exhaust and burning it(or parts of it) in the headers causing that sound of out of phase injection pump. Just try. One of the possibility to check if the pump is timed correctly is to check when the first pumping element of the injection pumpo starts to pump and check if it's correct using a graduated disc looking at the "degree anticipation" of the TDC of the first cylinder. IMHO. Greetings from Italy!
I think the timing is way too advanced. You can hear the clatter, and it won't fire until the auto-advance disengages.
@@detaart it's the same (or at least a bit) when it burns diesel in the headers. It's a thing that is to check soon if you do not want to take out again the engine soon😉
@@gabrielecossettini2923 they fixed the problem and it doesnt smoke that much anymore. It was unburnt diesel which makes lots of smoke.
The engine has been adjusted last week after a few warmup runs and it pretty much doesn't smoke anymore
I assume the same something is in the pump.... Also a graduated disc will help, I worked with diesels now already since i was 7 years old. So i have some feeling in sounds. But this guys pulled off a masterpiece by rebuilding this engine. and to get it running.. That has really a certain WOW factor !!! I would not have done this when i saw how far this engine was gone.... But this guys pulled it off.....

Veel respect en bewondering ,ongelooflijk dat jullie dat voor elkaar hebben gekregen.
I like the emotions that arise with such a complex technical vehicle. Such an engine always sounds like music to me.
If you have to hide from an enemy tank you just need to turn on the engine and an exhaust smoke cover will protect you.
Flavio Ricottini I’m pretty sure that’s a feature these tanks had, where they inject diesel into the exhaust and create an even bigger smoke cloud
ENTITY Games not quite sure if the type 69 had it but the T-62 did and most modern main battle tanks have that feature today
@@onelyone6976 This one had the feature, the Iraqis created a contraption for it themselves
@@entitygames9751 is that how coal rolling done?
Turning a "Negative" into a "Positive", quite ingenious really when you think about it. IR based aiming systems would have a field day once the smoke settles due to the huge hot spot your engine would put out. Great for basic camouflage though. An effective means to a previously annoying feature.
Incredible effort, you've come a long way. Full respect for the amount of work and commitment you boys put into this.
its their fulltime job :D
Fantastic work fellas! Getting that old heap running is an incredible bit of work!

Молодцы ! Увлечённые ребята! удачи во всем!
Imagine a battalion of those things starting up, you could see the smoke cloud a 1000 miles away.
@D D the smoke they give off is occasionally used for this tbf challenger 2 has this ability I think it's where the spit more fuel onto the engine to maximize smoke and use for troop cover
Yeah almost all modern tanks have this ability I think
It is getting a LOT more fuel than it can burn off. And yes, the smoke screen works exactly the same way. It can dump fuel straight into the exhaust and voilá.
@@charlessymes7701 It's not the whole truth, but it's close. The T-55 has an additional injection system named fog system. When it is activated it injects pure diesel into the exhaust, who will be there vaporized. The fog then will blown out through the exhaust. So in reality, the smoke system is not a smoke system, but a fog system.
If you want to really make some white smoke on any engine just tap a glycol feed into the exhaust manifold... NOTHING can follow you 👍👍

Good riddance... and to think I was about to sacrifice her to the brown hordes struggling to get to work due to their $4.50 per gallon gas prices, paying $0.10 per paper grocery bag for a total of $91.53 loss. It seems as the the fuel pump May need to go 1-2 teeth/cogs opposite the way you turned originally it is also possible it is 180 degrees out of time as well I don’t recall the type 69 smoking that much at idle from my days in Iraq
Sounds like it's got too much timing in it. It doesn't want to start until the auto-advance disengages and the clattering stops.
They have already fixed the problem, one of the compressed air valves from a cylinder was defect which created a compression loss in the cylinder. The extra smoke is unburned diesel .
I was thinking the ESS is on and they don’t know about it

Got myself hooked on watching tank restorations.. V12 music! And this baby doesn’t need smoke canisters!
The reason why it smokes so badly, is give in the daily vlogs. There was a valve stuck, so it was dumping fuel in the exhaust and they fixed it last week.
Sounds like the ESS system
With the amount of oil this motor has burn, the tank will need to try to invade Kuwait once more
