We're restoring an Iraqi Type 69-II (T54) tank engine. It was captured during the 1st Gulfwar in 1991. The tank has been on display in UK since then. We repaired this engine and this is the very first test!

The Type 69-II tank is a Chinese tank which looks a lot like the Russian T54 tank, most of the parts are exchangable. It was build by Norinco as well as the engine. This type of engine is also known as; v55, Kharkiv V2, Transmash, Silnik Wola.

      @michaeletzel4877@michaeletzel48773 жыл бұрын
    • @@michaeletzel4877 Except volcanic eruptions don't release millions of times more greenhouse gases. Humans release over 40 billion metric tons of co2 per year. Volcanoes release between .15 and .45 billion metric tons per year. The co2 level on earth does change naturally over time but we are talking over the course of millions of years rather than the short 200 year time span at hand. So rather than having millions of years for populations to migrate and animals to evolve they have a century left at best to be ready. Humanity will survive climate change by itself; no question. It's just a question of how many millions will die because of it. Not to mention how bad the state of the ecosystem we realy of for so many things will be in. By denying climate change you believe in a conspiracy and are effectively claiming that the entire scientific community from dozens of countries with varied views and ideologies are all working together to push some agenda. You are claiming that scientific integrity doesn't exist. That the very kind of person who wants to be a scientist, work for a fraction of the money they would get in industry, who do the work for the pursuit of knowledge and truth. That millions of those men and women are all corrupt and are for some reason trying to mislead the world. OR You are claiming to have thousands of peer reviewed papers showing that climate change isnt happening.

      @nocare@nocare3 жыл бұрын
    • @@nocare Just wanted to point out that I said "volcanic eruptions release millions of times more greenhouse gases than this little engine", which is neither false nor hyperbolic. My point was that it is overly dramatic to talk about "destroying the earth" because the engine is running badly, when nobody cries about the earth being destroyed when a volcano erupts. I know you were joking, but it set me off. Everything from "By denying climate change.." onwards is a massive assumption on your part. I never claimed to deny that climate change is happening, or that people don't contribute to it, or that scientific integrity doesn't exist. You have no reason to assume any of that based on my previous comment. You suggested that I was being hyperbolic, which is perfectly fine, and I don't mind admitting a mistake if I was wrong. I don't deny climate change exists, or that humans play a part in it, and I strongly support the scientific process. However, I am skeptical of the magnitude of human beings' contribution to climate change, given that the climate changes naturally and cyclically. The climate has been far more extreme in the past than what we are currently experiencing (and projecting for the future), even long before people started adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. A good scientist should always be skeptical, even of the existing scientific consensus; otherwise science could never advance.
