Holy crap this video just made me cry I have no words to say God bless America
I was still waiting for the footage of the thumbnail boat with the two Merline 12 cylinder engines.
Exactly sir, and thats why its called clickbait and for that reason alone. Thumbs Down
Merlin.
Ditto….. all Chevys, mostly big blocks with the exception of the one Oldsmobile
@@permitfisher ditto!
That's the boat s-1 Sweden. Or sverige
I had a Rayson Craft 19’ jet with 454 GM. Was great fun. The footage of the “ Jetavator” trim control Berkley offered was sweet. Was great for washing deck chairs off of docks 😂. Not that that ever happened.
That third one was awesome just a look of that Hilborn injection system on top was just awesome to see. I can remember watching the early 1Cam Am cars out in Midland Texas on the test track and you could see those big injectors sticking out of the bodywork. Very cool.
I raced boats back in the early 90s and I can say I've had some pretty awesome engines over the yrs. Fastest I've ever been on the water is 198 MPH. never could hit the even 200MPH sadly. I wasn't sponsored so alot of it came out of my own pocket start out. Luckily I started getting sponsors help but by then I had already decided to get out of the sport and ended up getting into (of all things) tractor pulling. Haha. Turns out tractor pulling was awesome. You're literally riding a bomb so to speak. I still have my boat and take it out from time to time to open it up down the lake. I have a 429 boss motor in it btw... for those that don't know...feels so much faster when on the water because of you being closer to the surface than in a car. Adrenalin sky rockets...haha
cool story ... lul
If you happen to read this, I'd be interested to hear you expand a bit on your description of the tractor pull experience being like riding a bomb. I've only been to a few when I was a kid so I remember very little about it. However, I know that the insanely modded-up engines and flaming pipes made quite an impression on me at the time. Is it bomb-like in the sense that the engine is performing at the absolute limit of what it can tolerate before it explodes? I'm thinking of something like Top Fuel drag racing, where the engines have to be rebuilt after every run because they've been destroyed by their own sheer power.
Been around inboards a big part of my life but never saw tube headers like that last bad boat.
Years ago I was into fast boats also. Once, I skied behind a drag boat on 1 ski. I had an accident and fell at over 100 mph. Water behaves very differently at high speed. Skipped across lake for over a hundred feet, ripped my vest flotation off, shredded my wet suit, and ski never came off. Thought both legs were broke and almost drowned before boat came back. Never did that again, although plenty of high speed runs inside the safety of the boat.
That's the most redneck thing I've heard in a while. From boat racing to tractor pulling. Love it
listening to thos engine idling was so soothing
There was a boat with a 6.2 diesel I saw on KZhead once, thing sounded so good
Pretty awesome compilation! That first boat though sounded as if it had som trouble with the lifters. Sounded exactly like the start-up of a GTO mk 3 "the judge". I was lucky enough to capture. That's something you don't get to see too often here in Sweden unless you're a regular visitor of cruises. The owner explained it all to me, after he was able to stop lauging at my reaction from the exhaust being re-egnited (scared shittles, lol! 😂)
Whoever put the comments on the video knows nothing about boats...
What did he say that was incorrect?
Love to see the Aussie boys reppin'... with the VB!!!
Much better than MB, for sure...
I used to have a 19' Hondo flat bottom with a 392 blown Chrysler hemi wish I still had it
it NEVER gets old :)
Ummm, where was the Gar Wood Miss America with twin Liberty engines? It was pictured on the advert for the vid.
Man ! that 2nd one with the tunnel ram Did that thing kick up a Rooster tail ! Geeez Lolol
I too was anxious to hear the double-V10 boat. What the heck? The rest was good though.😎👍✌🇨🇦
*V-12s
Those engines idling is music to my ears.
The fish must love the sound of these boats ripping by.
They pull over and salute 🇺🇸
Ugh....I hate clickbait. No Allisons....all BBCs and 1 LS.
Love BBCs. But if you've seen or heard one, you've seen them all.
Oi @Davesnothere man @5.55 there a ls1
Yes! V12s please.
Davesnothere Man Chugalugaluga
The boat in the picture with 2 v12s is a swedish boat named s1 sverige. Search for that and you will find some films of it
Man these guys sure like to run cams with low LSA, running those cams on anything other than full race engines is a pain in the butt.
No disputing these are badass'd boats. But my 1986 STV Pro Comp with a merc 2.5 carb'd V6 will smoke everyone of them. 142mph 1000ft.
Love that sound!😍😍
Seems to me, ya gotta wear hearing protecters!! You know those things are bloody loud!!
Wow, muy buenos arranques hermano
Gonna fix one of those for spring on the Spree and Havel around BERLIN. They’ll love it.😜
man that's crazy. i love it.
Love it ... second boat. If the butterfly valves are truly representative of throttle position .....barely half throttle. Cool.
I've been curious about something how does water get into the headers without hydro locking the motor
this was a total bait and switch as Phillip noted, I was still waiting for the footage of the thumbnail boat with the two Merline 12 cylinder engines.
Watchin' and smilin' like the cheshire cat.
I would want a back rest, I’d reckon those pipes are quite warm
That one at 5:14 sounds like the Salvation Army bloke rattling the charity tin. How's the bloke at 6:14 with a tin of VB
I could listen to this all day
Imagine hitting a sand bar at those speeds
They run nice, with an amazing sound!.👍.. Getting them to start, is the problem
alot of that is high compression and large cam.
@@maynardreed8374 and carbs.
Onlooker : Is there Really need for 1500 horsepower in a boat? Owner : yes , Cause Murica !
Dam that’s a stupid question no he needs 3000 hp
Its getting closer to the ice being off the lakes in our area then it will be time to get the boat out and all the lifts and dock. The water was so low last year I couldnt get the lift out for my Donzi its a 22.5 ft with a blown 502 bored .30 over and a good set of heads, its sure NOT a 198 MPH boat (thank God) but it will run in the mid 80s which plenty fast enough for me!
In the Thumbnail, looks like 2 Allisons or 2 RR Merlins!!! I believe that the old Navy PT Boats had 2 or 3 Allison V12s!
Love that sound!!!!
Love watching these vids, just wish I had the extra cash time and know how to built one of these 🤣
What's really amazing is that today, there are outboards that are more than a match for these repurposed muscle car engines! If you have the cash.
Love all the lifejackets.
Beautiful noises
If you made this much noise in my neighbor Hood the neighbors would call the cops.😆
The two happiest days in a boat owners life....the day he buys it...and the day he SELLS IT....
Would love to have seen and heard a BBF as all BBC sound the same .
All day
Hell yeah man I agree, gotta love that 460 wide open on the water. I'm not sure if the 429 version was offered in a marine variant
Ford makes too much power
@@Dylanskinandscalesfishing dodge does
@@stephenwheeler8021 lol
The second racing boat has two V8 like in the McLaren M8 Canam... 😱👍‼️💯🔥🛢️🏁🏎️🤓🇨🇵
Good old days . Awesome 🤫🗿
for this ride, you comes lifelong into jail cell here in germany ^^
1 min in: BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! This is America
Lost an acquaintance this way. RIP Mark Linton
Yeah, I was waiting to see the double V-10 boat. But if you're gonna have a boat yer gonna need a good Chevy boat anchor. Ouch.
Well thanks guys u just saved me 8 minutes
0:52 Damn I know someone with those headers. Apparently 4k a piece new. 8k for the set. Expensive freaking hobby
2nd boat with the tunnel ram and fake injector hat...I went to a dyno day one time with a buddies boat motor, and the guy running the dyno told him to take that crap off the top of the carb, as it was messing with the tuning.
From the opening pic..... you'd think you'd see a variety of engines........ this video ain't so bad if you love bowties......nothing but bowties...... and more bowties......
Well, bowties are the majority for the most part in these apolications. A few ford 460s and olds 455s scattered here and there
You probably could puta 300 hp Merc outboard on a good tunnel hull and outrun these things.
I'd still take the big block chevy...
I took a ride in a ski boat with a 220 injected outboard on it with a speed prop, and it was crazy!
Yep. These things don’t move through the water as efficiently as a boat with an outboard. Prop drive is more effective at pushing through water
Who tuned the engines in these boats?
Hehe... they’re not going to get my favorite fishin spot this time.
How about topfuel speedboat? Hemi-engine? Nitromethane?
@4:50 is your nitromethane
Es gibt immer mehr Verrückte auf dieser Welt !
I love these dudes without ear protection…what did you say?
Try some Easy Start by Bradex. It'll start anything. And no, it won't kill your engine unless you do crazy things with it.
2:07 pipe music
Back in those days shaky cam was the thing
Great video!😍
I remember my first VB
Total respect .,
ロータリーエンジン搭載のボートは? 無いのですか?
2:16 GAWD DAMN!!!! 😳😳
Why do so many of these have a tough time starting?
They just sit for long periods
I used to own a Chevy jet boat many years ago! Very fast!!!! I really enjoyed the boat, but the maintenance and upkeep costs were astronomical, so I had to dump it!
I’m no authority on any of it, but I’m just curious: Didn’t someone have a boat with QUAD 9-liter Lamborghini V-12s some time ago? Does such an animal still exist?
Nice lake skates.
GOOD DISTORTION ! ! !
Little boys with their little toys.
Good afternoon to all from SE Louisiana 3 Jun 22.
Damn, the first guy desperately needs to adjust his timing…
Nice vedio idol welcome bagung kaibigan 🎉
This should be called 'Let's see how far back we can crank the distributors to take out as much ignition timing as possible and still get the thing to fire'. I don't know what it is about people with headers on their boats, but almost all of them insist on making the thing as loud and pig rich as possible to the point that it'll barely run and idle without a fight. Just so they can idle around the lake showing off what a monster they have, then wonder why it sucks so much gasoline.
Start well...no choke..?
Fair enough not bad at all 😎🇺🇸✌🏽
Bait and swish...😮
@5:15 what the hell is that? Get that damn jalopy out of this compilation 😂
I wanna see a small center console boat twin turboed
2:00 nasty flamin backfires are great
wow super -car- boat...
excellent
All friends of the service-station keeper, I suppose.
My first thought is this: It's only impressive if it will start.
I would have thought it you are at sea and critically dependent on the engine, you don't want it to take eight attempts to start.
Me too. I've seen boats like them have nothing but problems
@@newforestroadwarrior True. And would you rely on a pro-fuel funny car to be a daily driver? No.
Doesn't seem like a wise idea to have the intake scoop facing forward. Ready to ingest any spray or waves.
How do these engines not blow up running at full throttle that long??
All flash and no dash. These jet drive gas guzzlers were obsolete 25 years ago. All fun & games with the loud pipes and rooster tail until grandpa & his Kingfisher with a 150 Evinrude smokes you down on the top end.
I've been back there with a Big Block , ain't no fun 🤔
I am way ahead with my 90hp Yamaha, when these guys get their engines started.
and 1/3rd of them^ do not know how to start them correctly!!!!!
Do you like these BIG BOATS ENGINES ?
I like boats in general
I guess you never seen about a couple of hemis working their asses off during World War II on the boats they made them Chrysler did so many of them it was unbelievable that's the reason why we win
Fires right up. How'bout that! 😃
That guy stepping on the headers... augh
And wearing a very thin soled tennie, not to mention a possible cracked weld. But, he looked young enough that daddy will pay for any damage.
The 2nd boats either got way too big of a cam or it’s got valve issues lol
Trust me boys, 1 minute 50, baot got some nasty twins on board.
Love the video
Thanks :) there are more on my channel. Check them out :)
Wish I had just half of their money....
Awesome 👏😎
