It's a wonderful headset and I've used it for almost 4 years. Great wireless range, comfortable to wear for hours and hours, light, great sound, and it sounds great to other people. My only grievance is that you cannot elegantly turn off the beeping. You have to choose between voice or beeps, and while feedback is nice, I wish there was a mute option. The most egregious one is the low battery beep. I understand why there is a low battery reminder, but again, it would be nice to have the option to turn it off. At around 20% and lower, there is a very loud *boop-boop* like every 5 minutes to let you know that you are on low battery. It's extremely loud and there is no way to make it any quieter. This device has a wonderful battery life of what feels like 16-ish hours, however given that it's miserable to use them at the 20% or lower mark, it effectively has 12 hours of enjoyable use. The device already has a nice, and silent way of letting you know battery is low. The Corsair logo stops doing the RGB and just turns solid red on low battery. It's so awesome. It's not hard to keep a headset charged, but it's kind of ridiculous that you headset is effectively unusable at 20% battery unless you are plugged in so that it doesn't make your ears bleed with system beeps. Like situations where I'm travelling, and reviewing some simple audio, should be easy. If the headset dies on me, sure it would be disappointing, but not annoying. The fact that the last 1/5th of the headset's battery life is waterboarding you with beeps is ridiculous. I've finally gotten fed up and just went into this folder --> C:\Program Files (x86)\Corsair\CORSAIR iCUE Software\sounds\default and deleted all the battery related sounds. Now I don't hear the beeps and the headset is perfect. I hope with the next one they give the option to mute certain sounds. The mute/unmute sound is just fine and actually scales with your volume. The same with every other system sound. It's specifically the "below 20% battery" notification that is spams every 2 minutes until you aren't under 20% that is unscaled and earplitting.
I have the VOID yellow jacket edition. Any reason to upgrade apart from the new mic?
Bought the Corsair Void Wireless last year in January and they are so comfortable. I love the long battery life that I got compared to the wireless Logitech one I had. Best headset I owned
I love these features, but I just purchased Void RGB Wireless back in May (and was sad that the Mic did not mute when up) along with the rest of my Corsair line up M65 pro and a few months later k95 platinum.

I have this headset for a couple of years now, it does last, battery is amazing, ear pads wear off easily tho' but overall they are great 4.5/5 !

Censed Peak8 matters if your rough mine has stayed working perfect forever but my friend is really rough with his and his Mic won't stay up so no it won't fall down unless you mistreat your stuff..

a few questions re the Surround version: can you tell me please if there is an LED on the mic to show when it's muted like on the other versions? does it automatically mute when you lift it up? Also, can you activate/deactivate the 7.1 and switch profiles with the volume rocker like on the other versions?

Biggest changes are to the microphone which has a new unidirectional mic to avoid ambient noise, and new microfiber mesh cloth and memory foam padding on the earcups to improve comfort. The microhpone arm is also improved to flex and bend easier for adjustments. But we've made no changes to the incredible durability or pleasing visual design.

mine is fucked, the charging cable no longer connects, gets warm and it just shocked me when I pulled it out.
I just got a pair of these and they are not working, they won't turn on, won't charge, and none of the lights are working. I have tried charging them and there wasn't any change. They were working great three hours ago, but they are glorified paper weights. Anybody with legitimate suggestions?

That hiss is noise from your onboard sound chip. It is EMI interferences, if you want to get rid of it, you need a seperate sound card. Even 3.5mm jack has it if you crank it up, you can hear it.

Lord I just bought a void wired headset, and wow it isn't compatible, after all this troublshooting. crap. I try to stay with a brand and ugh this is frustrating.

They look the exact same, and the specs are basically the exact same. The Impedance went up by .2 and the Sensitivity went from -37 dB to -38 dB. That doesnt seem like much of an improvement to me. Now, if you guys had of replaced the batteries for super quality ones, then that will make a huge difference

The Corsair headset pisses me off. It’s being a pain in the ass to get the audio to work on my PC but had no problems on my husband’s PC. Why??
When you buy this product, you get a 2-year warranty. After this time, the battery dies. Now the headphones take up 2 USB slots (one for the wireless receiver and the other for the cable). You lose.

You don't care about them until the synthetic leather starts to fall off on the first year of use leaving black pieces on your ears. I'ts one of the main reasons I bought the Corsair's VOID last year, the fiber on the ear cushions solved this problem I had.

Drivers are shit, headset stopped working when i downloaded the drivers. only works with window's drivers. Other than that issue and knowing their not preforming at their best . i like the headset, sounds good, everyone says i sound loud and clear, very comfortable, good battery life too. i have the wireless version.

Terrible headphones, terrible products. They dont link up with your sound card and you spend your life clicking the device manager mic setting on and off along with iCue as well as the headphone mic on/off button and the mic never wants to work. It's well-documented all over the web where people cant find any solution to fix this POS.
