  • What about the valve cover gasket? Oil in the spark plug hole had to come from somewhere. Misfire will be gone for a while, but if that gasket is leaking, eventually it's gonna fill back up with oil and ruin that coil again.

    • @The Cabin Coder I sure as hell wouldn't buy one from him. Valve cover gaskets are easy and cheap enough to make sure the next owner doesn't have to deal with it again. It's always about the profit but I'd rather give myself a good name. I've had people buy more then one car for their families from me over the years with no complaints and these are 15+ year old cars. Even if it means I'm at a loss on a few cars just to make sure I'm selling a good reliable car the profitable ones will make up for it

  • I'm a bit confused. How did the oil get in on the ignition coil? Usually that happens when the gasket fails, so it would need to be replaced, but you didn't do that. I don't understand how simply cleaning the spark plug well and replace the coil would prevent the issue from repeating in the future.

    • He’s covered this before. He’s a dealer which is why he doesn’t list sales tax as part of the flip. For the average person you are LEGALLY obligated to pay sales tax on the purchase(which would be $800ish where I’m at). It changes that profit margin a good bit. In Buddy’s case he only pays sales tax on his profit. Floating the title is illegal and not advisable. Plus the seller of the car would have to be agreeable to it which is becoming less and less likely. Some states require a notary stamp at signature which makes this even more difficult.

  • The only other part I wish you would discuss and factor into your cost is the cost to title the vehicle and that entire process. I think for many of those who truly have never done this that are considering that part is huge and could shock them. Curious to know how you go about it as most states only allow the sale of five cars a year before they start asking questions…Aside from that nice work and thanks for sharing and inspiring others.

    • @@ECMBishes I can easily see this as something many do; I do think its highly illegal though. Technically you would be selling something that was never yours to begin with. You run the risk of someone running into issues at the county clerk’s and then reaching out to you for extra documentation and you cant do anything because you don’t “own” it thus leading you to reach out to the actual previous owner hoping they will help.

    • He’s mentioned before he doesn’t include it because he’s a a dealer. It does skew the numbers a massive amount. Sales tax on that car in Tn would be almost $800. His profit takes a massive hit. Still good money and great content but it needs to be addressed.

  • Costs to add to these videos: - Cost of cleaning materials and equipment if you don't have them already -Cost tools if you don't own any of them already -Cost to title it And that coil/cylinder is going to misfire again. Which sucks for the person that bought it whose going to have to fix the gasket eventually. In like... 7 months.

  • Can you share how you deal with title and ownership when you’re buying and selling these vehicles ? DMV takes weeks to get me a title after I buy a car. Can’t flip quickly

    • He either floats it which is illegal or has a dealership license which us everyday Joe's don't have. Just gotta let it take time and a lower profit if you are doing this as a hobby on the side or something

  • Sparkplug tube seal needed to be changed! These are included in the valve cover gasket set. Very easy and cheap repair broski. That's only goin to cause issues for the buyer of the vehicle down the line. I'd repair it, just sayin. Finding oil in there is not caused by the coil not working. Oil can cause the coil to fail. Not the other way around.

  • I thought that car needed a cover headgasket. Cause there is no way d oil is on d ignition coil
