  • I doubt you will read this Larry.. but your videos are helping me through a very hard time. I appreciate the entire operation. From the videos, production, knowledge, techniques, editing…. Man, it’s top tier. I’m 45 and I’ve been diagnosed with severe bone degeneration in both hips. For almost a decade I was told it was my lower spine. Finally, I was able to get into a wonder doctor who was able to point me to the right specialist. Naturally, I’m freighted and I’m severe pain. I’m unable to bend at the waist my knees. I’m a walking Tin man with no oil! I’ve taken the pre surgery time to learn a lot of things. Detailing has always been a fascination of mine. I have a 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth C that I adore. It’s a fun toy and has been parked for two years. I have quite a few carbon body panels that need some TLC! I’ve learned so much and better that I have killed so many restless and aimless hours while taking it easy. I hope to be one a local customer soon. The brand is effective and proven. What other company’s can’t really do well. I can’t wait to be able to tie my own shoes and the start my complete rehab of my Abarth. It’s been hard, a struggle because I’m very driven. I want to thank you for the amazing content, please keep it coming in. Helps a more than you know!

  • Of course the dealer will almost always offer to buy a used car for cheaper than a private car buyer. The dealer buys it cheaper to be able to sell it for more a few days later. While the detailing of the car added a few hundred bucks to the perceived value, it's mostly the fact that it was sold on Craigslist that profit was made. Edit: Forgot to mention that the before and after is impressive, great job!

Not once does he ever come across as elitist or condescending in any way. It makes these videos really approachable and easy to watch. Although detailing your own car can be a real pain. Probably have a sore back and arms if you really spend a full day doing it really thoroughly. You do get an immense sense of satisfaction of making an old car shine. Swirls, pine needles, tree sap, coffee stains on the interior and about 20 stickers on the windows. I got it for $500, put $300 into tires, wiper blades, a battery, replaced the filters which I don't think were ever changed, and spent a weekend decontaminating and polishing the whole car. I had to go get a signature on the title the following week, and when I pulled up the sellers didnt even recognize the car!

  • Idk, for me, aftermarket wheels are usually a turn off, unless they're from a real manufacturer. But so often, they're cheap, flashy, heavy nonsense which tells me a lot about the previous owner (as do the brand of tires). If there's a cheap set of wheels on the car, and the seller doesn't have the OEM's, I'm usually walking away. Thankfully, American Racing is a real brand so you're good

    • Making sure a car is mechanically sound has nothing to do with checking the engine, transmission, etc. It has everything to do with where the car is located, the seller, the reason for sale, etc. Tires from Walmart or 2 different brand tires on a car is a major red flag.

  • I've been watching detailing videos for a couple weeks and learning what I want to try come spring time. Yours is by far the best blend of technique and practicality that I've come across. I love the focus on the value of each step. Thank you. Subscribed and off to look for the photographing cars interview! PS - this was one of my favorite sedans. I would kill to pick one of these up for a few grand! I hope it runs as great as it looks!

  • My father always told me to take care of your cars in detail. For the pleasure of having a clean and nice car as well as when it comes time to sell, making more money from it. I am not formally trained, just Year’s of practice has made me a pretty decent detailer. Yet I learn from your videos still. I also catch myself sayin “I do that”. Thank you for making a video which reiterates this belief. Keep up the great work.

I love this channel and after getting a 2019 ram 1500 I’ve been babying it as best I could following as many steps as I can following your videos!

Must say all my neighbors know how religious I am with keeping my 34 year old car looking fresh and clean and I always say thanks, but it’s because of Larry at Ammo. (And I point to the stickers on our cars) Once you offered the sprayer I jumped and grabbed it because it is a life saver. Living in a complex we have no access to water and that sprayer has is a game changer sir! (Reminds me I need to get more of the shampoo, folks, buy this, it’s the best!) Just wanted to say thanks. • That was a spectacular video. The understanding of what keeping a car in good shape can do not just running wise but visually is amazing and a lot of people don’t understand that. I just bought my f250 but when I traded in my BLACKED OUT dodge 1500 I did a fine cleaning on it and I got I think 2-3K more than what I was offered 2 weeks before when I was looking around dealerships and it was dirty from lack of time and busy working schedule. • Yes, I thought the same thing. Dealer trade-in versus selling private party is not an apples and apples price comparison. Larry not only did the heavy lifting on the detail but took even more time taking some nice pics, weeded through the bogus offers on CL and then booked all of those viewing appointments. A lot of people don't want to go through that hassle and that's why dealerships can offer less and make a nice profit. IMHO Larry should have received more than 50% of the pop as he did all of the work on a pretty rough car that never was a big seller. Nice flip. I'd like to see more like this.

  • Your work on professionally detailing vehicles is always amazing and done right. I'm not a pro detailer and I only go by own experience of washing cars over many years. For general purpose weekend warrior car type detailing I like to use a nanoskin wash mit instead of a clay bar. I don't wash the car with the mit...I wash the car a second time with it. It has a much larger surface area and does a very decent job for what it has been designed to do. It's quick and easy plus I keep the nanoskin surface extremely clean and dry and ready for the the next detail.
