Its not totally true what you are saying, if the company is runned good and there is a demand after their product than investors will see a stable increase in value of the company. Talking about investing into a company is not going to increase any value to other investors! Purpose of investors is to increase money for the company so they can use their money to create more product, sell it and get back some revenue. You never get any revenue unless the market is demanding after your product.

The secondary market (aka the Stock Market) is just legal gambling. The only people that really win are hedge funds that have CFAs that Actively Manage these accounts. They have algos that trade faster than any retail investor can, and they know ALL of the Asymmetric Information.

Just visit the Brazilian cities rich in gold and you'll see how the average folk didn't benefit from the rush. Those miners would make hundreds of thousands of dollars per month and spend everything on cars, alcohol and prostitutes.

💯 This has been my experience as well. I’ve been in the market for 24 years. Year 0 thru 19 was trading frequently in-and-out & lost tons of money. Then I switched to buy-and-hold a basket of five great quality stocks/companies starting five years ago. The strategy works! I wish I had done this much earlier.

Very true, people downplay advisors role, until burnt by their mistakes. I remember just after my layoff early 2020 amidst covid outbreak, I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for license advisors. Thankfully, I came across someone of practical knowledge, and decades of experience, my stagnant reserve of $325K has yielded nearly $1m after subsequent investments so far.

There are a lot of independent advisors you might look into. But i work with Carol Pasol Lewis and I have been working together for nearly four years, and she is excellent. You could proceed with her if she satisfies your discretion. I endorse her.
I just looked her up on the internet and found her webpage with her credentials. I wrote her a outlining my financial objectives and planned a call with her.

Spot on. Buy and hold. Get in early on stocks that have a real business and are solving real problems. Keep an eye out to make sure the big guys don't wipe them out though. If the new company has a monopoly or proprietary product, even better.

Been there, done that, couldnt of said it better. A balanced portfolio exactly as you mention and the key is DCA using your income stream, or if you have a pot of FIAT to invest, break it into smaller denominations and DCA, avoid emotional larger sums. Boom!
Remember that investing involves risks, and there are no guarantees of making a profit. Be prepared to weather market fluctuations and stay focused on your long-term goals. As you gain experience, you can refine your strategy and consider more advanced investment techniques.

Definitely possible to earn but difficult to make you rich. Biggest hope to get rich for current generation is to wait for the next crypto winter and buy in as much bitcoin as you can and hold. This cycle might be a bit late and risky
@@1979chyeo Real estate is the fastest way towards wealth by buying under valued homes then sell later for more, you can easily put that into stocks in which the compound intrest is more significant, basically my conclusion. Get a decent job, be frugal, learn real estate early, buy houses, rental properties(wedge deals/flips) instead of saving put in an index which averages 6-8% and just chill the rest of ya life.

I buy stocks of big, boring companies that have been around for a long time, pay a dividend and produce stuff everyone uses no matter how deep a recession is. When these stocks have a price dip I buy and hold as long as they pay and rise their dividend regularly. The idea is to reinvest the dividend and generate an ever bigger stream of income. Not exiting at all but I sleep well and the monthly dividend stream is increasing slowly and steadily.

I have found that a lot of financial advisors like to flatter their clients and make them feel like big shots even when they are not so the clients will go along with their 1% per year advisory fees. I like how you mention that no one talks about the investors that lose lots of money playing the stock market. I once read an article from a guy that lost his money playing the stock market, and he was thankful to just be alive in the end after losing his savings. Very sound advice, the markets are efficient. A good portion of my family's $10M+ wealth comes from rising stock markets and buy and hold, as the author says. You need to be about 30% in stocks, 30% cash (bonds) and 30% in your business, in our case real estate. Good luck.
