Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. I was able to increase my portfolio by $289k in months. You have to seek for help in the right places.

I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.

Hes married to the granddaughter of a founder of a bank in israel, she is from a family of billionaires. It is probably not a coincidence that the soros brothers were his first investors. It's not far fetched that the story he is telling is true and I bet he is a smart guy, but his 10000 dollar yolo on silver options was probably a drop in the ocean compared to the funds he had available to him. I bet he made several other large bets before he made this big one. Also, Prior to this big win he worked as a financial analyst while doing a PhD in history that revolved around pricing of commodities, these probably lead to the confidence he had when he made that trade. He probably talked about it passionately at a family gathering where soros was at the table and soros saw a guy who knows his commodities so gave him some pocket change to try and make some money of of it.

He is referring to call option. Basically an agreement to buy something at a later date. The asset holder can not sell it to anyone else until expiry of the option. He would likely enter into an option and then pitch the opportunity to investors raising the required capital and then execute on the option and purchase the asset....
