It was more up for debate a few years ago, but since all the records he's subsequently smashed, there's just no contest now. And if you want to go by World Titles alone, then why not say Joe Davis? 😂

  • I don't think I've ever seen this on any kind of sport show. A player as big as Ronnie complimenting the shit out of another legend right there in front of him. They are still "rivals" in the loosest sense of the word because they obviously have great respect for each other. I know Messi and Ronaldo have great respect for each other but they have never complimented each other quite like this on live television. great to watch just like the match

  • I'm really happy to see this uploaded here, in fact I don't know how I could have missed not being subscribed to this channel on KZhead. I have been following snooker for maybe some 25 years now, thanks to Eurosport of course, and you can't imagine how much happiness you have brought me over the years. To hear Ronnie speak about John like this is something that is beyond sport, it's a real sign of what class O'Sullivan has no matter what he may have done in the past in terms of controversy with some of his statements. He's a gem of a human being (even though of course I don't know him personally). It gave me huge joy to hear these words. I've been a big fan of Higgins ever since I started watching snooker but I love all the players because I know how tough this sport is and the amount of skill these guys have is just unbelievable. If you love snooker, you will find your favourite players but in truth you should admire all of them for their styles and the way they go about the game. Okay, I know nobody will read this but anyway. Thank you to Eurosport for the coverage and for the studio, the quality of your commentators, pundits, experts is unrivalled and I love the banter, it makes snooker fun and it makes it extra compared to the other broadcasters. (even if Angles and Neal Foulds also work for other channels ; and Doherty is a great joker always anywhere he is). Thank you and all the best from the Czech Republic.

  • Ronnies very clever, he knows how to get into John Higgins head for the coming tournaments if he meets him. That's top psychology from Ronnie even though Ronnie knows 100% that he's the best player that's ever been and ever will be most likely. The guy with the best cue action breaks all the records and that's Ronnie o'Sullivan. Ronnie will have a bad run of games every now and then, but he's the one that get's magnified for every single shot. Nobody really talks about the other elite players when they have a bad run of games and how their cue action is shite. Ronnie now has 40 ranking titles having just one his 8th UK title so that's 22 titles in the tripple crown series. And I assure you, every snooker player on the circuit with a brain would want Ronnies cue action, because that's the perfect cue action that has broken all the records.
