The Poor Boy Who Invented The Most Luxurious Car in the World
Rolls-Royce is a true household name in engineering. A Rolls-Royce is one of the most successful luxury cars that money can buy. And with over 130 dealerships spread over 40 countries, the brand is known all around the globe. Kind of funny considering that it all started out with a poor kid that had a passion for innovation. When farm boy Henry Royce first started out tinkering with engines, nobody could have guessed he would one day create some of the most expensive cars in the world! And when he finally met his daredevil companion, history was truly made! Don’t miss this story!

A Poor Miller’s Son Invented The World's Most Expensive CAR | The Story of Rolls-Royce
I now grasp the concept of leverage. Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely.
The first step to wealth creation, is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance - either on your own or with the help of a financial advisor. If you can get the facts about savings and investing with a well detailed plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your income.
You’re right! Working with a financial advisor will genuinely set you up for success in life. I’m delighted I was able to hire a financial advisor named John Desmond Heppolette, earlier this year. Because while others were grumbling about the downturn in the financial markets due to the state of the economy, I was busy learning from him and eventually made over seven figures in the first quarter of the year.
That's great, your financial advisor must be really good, I have seen testimonies of people using the help of financial advisors in making them more financially stable. I just discovered his exceptional resume when I made a google search of his names online. he appears knowledgeable and well accredited. I drop him a message and book a call session with him!
With the help of John Desmond Heppolette, I’ve gained perfectly well from my investment. The quantity of capital you invest, though, ultimately determines everything. With a substantial start-up budget, you could able to end more..
John Desmond Heppolette has been a significant step in my financial life journey, providing valuable knowledge, actionable advice, and motivational content. His supportive community has boosted my confidence, work engagement and has inspired me to strive for excellence. His assistance is a secret weapon for great financial growth, and his online presence is a must-see for anyone looking to improve their financial situation.
Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance- wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life..
You’re right, the importance of multiple stream of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean financial freedom or security

@FeedTheMachine - different times, different government rules, different taxation and so on. Also car manufacturer market wasn't that saturated as it is now. Plenty of options and movement there at that time. Comparing that to the current time, because they haven't made it in one year is just stupid. Even Bezos at the beginning had other backers, and money from his parents. So was Gates, with his first deal with IBM when he was starting (as his mother was a friend of John Opel - a CEO of IBM at that time). Musk? Hell, nothing like parent owning a Zambian emerald mine.... And so on. So yeah, people have every right to "cry" about it. This boy wouldn't have made it now without proper backers. Don't get me wrong, he was clever, had a vision - but curently that is rarely enough.
Watching this brought tears to my eyes, one of the most iconic brand of today came from passion and partnership as Mr. Royce said "if it doesn't exist, design it" very powerful words right there this also show that with education and great determination you fan create a world of endless possibilities that will one day become a legacy. My favorite Royce saying shows why the cars are so durable: "Test it until it breaks and then improve what breaks." He had a "torture rack" that would suspend a chassis at the four axle points (where the wheels would normally mount) and then pulse each one on it's own random cam at varying speeds in order to excite every natural frequency in the assembly. He expected his cars to survive at least 18 to 20 hours of this punishment without damage whereas when he put a competitors' car on there it would generally start shedding parts within the first hour. That's one of the reasons the British Army had them build halftracks for desert use during WW I.
Much has changed. In 2013 I bought a brand new Ford F150. Worst vehicle I have ever owned. Nothing but trouble and failures. I think their motto is "Test it until it breaks and that is the part you use on all vehicles after that." I would hate to put this truck on a torture rack. You would wind up with a pile of broken parts in minutes. I keep thinking that things will get better, but not so. Poorly designed and poorly built.
@@John-oe5nb - This is sad, but not unexpected. Especially sad when you consider that a truck should be de-facto more able to take abuse than a passenger car.
Most people take the lower cost option and every one suffers for it. If we were all quality focused instead of price focused, everything will continue to improve. Most people are oblivious to this.
Any current Rolls owners contest to this? Are they still durable and reliable?

Alot respect to two men, they designed and built one of the best cars in the world, Rolls-Royce, the name speaks for itself, perfection in automotive engineering!
It's perfection depending on the consumer. I love my 7 series, but that car is a cruise car for the most part. When I had my 3 series, I preferred the performance engineering behind it. Those big boat cars are marketed to people who are looking for that specifically, not to the average consumer. To say that it's one of the best cars in the world, is far fetched, considering the vast majority of consumers aren't buying RR's. The "best" cars are typically cheaper vehicles, with alot of support, and reliability (usually japanese makes). Rolls Royce doesn't fall under that category. I'm actually wondering, since you like the RR's, what is the highest milage one you've seen? Tbh, im a car guy, but I've never really cared for the RR, even though my 7 series is based off of that car. It's so expensive for no reason..
Aromoriaf
@@mjm7071 its perfection because of the engineering and the skill required for the finished product there are not a lot of cars put together in the way Rolls-Royce do it especially the early car's, comparing them to other car's is pointless if you don't know the reasons why people buy Rolls-Royce, stick to your 7 series mate it's a great car but it ain't a Rolls-Royce

The cars of Rolls Royce are very insignificant if you consider how important they were in the development of Engines for planes, ships and tanks and modern jets
It’s amazing just how dumb some peoples thought processes can be, and what an incredibly banal and stupid comment to make. But don’t despair; looking at the 14 thumbs up your stupidity is not completely isolated. Without the coming together of the two “R”s and the subsequent car building business, it is almost a cast iron guarantee the opportunity to advance into other sectors would never have happened. So the counter argument to your rather ill conceived comment is the cars were the most important.

This is a beautiful story of Rolls Royce
This story is outstanding and vital history
As a young teenager in the 60s I lived next to a launderette, the owner owned three Rolls-Royce cars and my brother used to earn a bit of pocket money by washing a polishing them once a week or so. The owner took a trip to the south of France but on the second day of his trip the engine developed a problem and stopped. He phoned a rolls-royce dealership who promptly sent out two mechanics who brought with them a new engine the owner stopped in a hotel overnight and the following day could continue his holiday. After coming back to England he waited for a few weeks thinking about the bill for the repair as he had no invoice from them. He phoned Rolls Royce and said how much do I owe you for the repair work on my car the reply he got was you must be mistaken sir our cars don't break down and he never got a repair bill.
Wow
I only wish they had that philosophy today! I have several things on mine that could use some attention!

Henry was English. His company was in England. But Rolls Royce is a British company. All UK corporations are federally incorporated. People from outside the UK are often unaware that England, Great Britain, and The UK are not the same thing. England is a country that has it's own local government just like a state does in the US. Roll's engine's are far superior to the Pratt engine's
All the early 747 engines had major reliability issues. All of them - P&W, GE and Royce's all took over a decade to reach the super reliable levels of today. It actually surprised me how many car companies were from UK, since you know... but it is crazy. Jaguar and Land Rover still holding hands though (Under Tata).
Yeah it’s a shame….
The Boeng 747 Airplane is a Rose Royce Car on Wings. An engineer joined two Rose Royce Car engines together to make a boeng airppane twin engines. All this took place in his garage outside London. Several months of hard work paid off when he went to try his experiment on the airstripe. The plane took off. Praise the Lord.
Agree!
Lol. Rip engineering!

Riveting and inspiring. TY for sharing. I have never seen a Rolls Royce advertisement???
They have advertising, but the target audience is better reached in mediums other than television or random internet ads.
Beautiful inspiring story.
I been a fan of RR a long time. I'd say around 1995. Tela was the first black guy i seen drive a Rolls early on before they became a rap staple. Also Puffy drove a Cornish in his 1996 video "cant nobody hold me down". It looked luxurious. Well built and shaped. RR is in a class all by them self. I love 1980s Cornish and Silver Saraph.
Fun fact : an amazing 65% of ALL Rolls Royce cars EVER built are still on the road
Yes, and as I understand it the other 35% actuality made it home!
@@cavemanballistics6338 lol
@@cavemanballistics6338 Haha funny But it is mostly true they do not break down on the road it happens in the garage
Yes, this was truly inspirational. I also feel timing had a lot to do with the success of this world class automobile (and aircraft engine) company. Also, no mention was made about RR company's involvement in military contracts.
Tough time creates strong people💪🏻
Fantastic duo, that's for sure.
Wow! reminds me of 43 years ago when I was interviewed as a 33 y o to join RR as a Director... studied everything about the history during which i learned that they manufactured trains in Crewe.. Sherman tanks for KSA and generators for Nigeria... at their height they only made 3500 cars sold mainly to the USA and the Middle East.... at the time of interview I recall only 2200 cars....seriously fragile company at the time.... didnt join! hahah....predictably a financial failure given the high dependence on very few markets... great history and great product ( cars) but not well run....it was at the time when they had split the Aero engine business from their other businesses....all gloss and no substance it appeared to me, but a fond memory.
😦😧😮😯😲
We need the full background of the interview, what you did next, any regrets, etc...!
@@paulk1702 no regrets... chairman, CEO, President of several global companies... 2 of them the biggest in their field... retired at age 54.. now 76.. lived in 9 countries and settled in a nice warm one!
@@johnkerr1113 Always great to hear a success story and an early-ish retirement panning out well. That's quite a journey/career - you should write a book! I'm on my 5th country, however getting too old to do any more.
@@paulk1702 Thank you... I have started writing a book with a working title of Insignificantly Significant but busy with orphanage and stuff so hard work! hahah.
