Why Rolls-Royce Cars Are So Expensive | So Expensive
I have a Rolls-Royce. I customized it so that every single component was replaced with a component of a 2011 Honda CR-V. Very bespoke.
The bespokest.

Too accurate
I will finish your statement. " Rolls-Royce refuses to discuss base pricing" aka " Sorry, but we don't speak poor" aka " if you gotta ask, you can't afford it"
I drove a Rolls Royce as a bellman in college. I can say it was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences I’ve had behind the wheel… not because I found myself in one, but because of the way it functioned. While doing that job, I drove almost every supercar you can imagine and nothing else compares. The thing that strikes you first is how it goes into gear. Actually, it doesn’t. I wasn’t sure I was in drive because there was no click or lurch as the transmission engaged. It just… was in gear. As you hit the gas, it doesn’t jerk or anything… it just glides. And it’s so true that you do not feel any bumps or potholes. You feel like you are floating. I was so in awe of the engineering and how they were able to accomplish this in the suspension on such a heavy car. The video discusses sensory deprivation and I can completely understand this. I’m not sure I would ever own one because I like the experience of driving and in certain circumstances it’s crucial to feel the road. It’s certainly an experience I’ll never forget.
They need to hire you just so you could that story just like that word for word everywhere you go cz I swear for a second if I closed my eyes it felt like I was a passenger just gliding along

I was offered a 1967 Rolls-Royce about 20 years ago. The engine needed a lot of work but the interior was in amazing shape, all handmade red leather seats and real burled walnut dashboard. But the thing I remember the most was turning on the ignition and feeling the car’s hydraulic system engage, like an airplane about to take off. It would have cost many times more to repair it than the asking price, so I said no. But now I sort of regret it. It could have been the ultimate weekend hobby project.
it sucks because you could honestly throw any good smooth running engine in that with the right tools and then boom you have a flawless little rolls royce
@@Septagrim well, unfortunately, Rolls-Royce is made in such a way that you couldn’t put just any engine in there. It really is built like an airplane more than like a car. So all of these conversion projects that people are doing, where they put an electric engine into an old car, are probably not going to work with a Rolls-Royce. Which is too bad, because, as you say, it would be amazing!
@@davidserlin8097 That's extremely interesting. How a jet engine company can incorporate design into a car
@@davidserlin8097 aw man thats unfourtunate. but also extremely amazing engineering. these cars are beautiful inside and out
@@Septagrim I once read a statistic that something like 90% of all the Rolls-Royces ever made are still on the road, or at least are still running. That’s because people value them so highly that they keep them going for decades. You might say that they are the most sustainable cars in the world!

The people in the garage diagnosed the issue but didn't have the part and called Rolls Royce. Rolls Royce sent a chopper with a couple technicians and a new part to replace it free of charge. Now that's first class service.

I've never looked at a supercar and had any desire to own one, but I have to admit I would totally get one of these if I had the money. Looks absolutely class. Noise insulation sounds like a great thing to have as well
These aren’t super cars man, they’re luxury cars. They’re only fast in a straight line but handle like boats on curves because they’re so heavy. GT3 RS, AMG black, Aventadors, and MCClaren 720’s are supercars. And then you have Hypercars which aren’t as fast as supercars on an actual track, but hit the fastest speeds, like Bugatti Chiron’s/ Veyron, Jesko, Agera RS, Speedtail.
Supercars just look squished. They look tacky and make awful noises. If you want no luxury and bad noises, but fast speed, buy a supercar. If you want to relax, have prestige, be instantly recognised, buy a rolls royce.
@@sebwilkins Rolls Royce is tacky too in my opinion, it has a lot of chrome and with a hood ornament that's more expensive than most cars.

I spent a week working on the Rolls Royce production line for "work experience" when I was at school in the early 90s. They are definitely built like no other car on Earth, but they did let me attach the brake cables to a couple of cars so probably avoid buying any built in that period! Every single car comes with it's own spec sheet as they are all individually specced - but one day I remember we had 8 or so identical cars come down the line, turned out it was a bulk order from some sheikh in Dubai.
I used to valet at a luxury hotel in Los Angeles and the times we got Rolls-Royce was always amazing. The cars were truly luxurious to drive.
An experience you'll never forget would be my guess.

There’s a parallel between the automotive and financial worlds. Millionaires tend to flaunt their wealth, while billionaires do not. Nearly every manufacturer today prides itself on having the biggest and best screens in a car. But if you look at truly top tier marks like Rolls-Royce, and Bugatti, they have little to no technology in the cabin. Technology is completely subservient to the character of the car. They don’t even have glass roofs. They’re rather standard cars with the emphasis on quality coach building. That’s what luxury is; timelessness.

We are already in the big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

I'm saving this here, I'll come back to this video; when I buy my Rolls Royce.
My 92 Corolla is very bespoke. It comes with a driver door that only opens from the outside and the stains in the carpet resemble the big dipper.
Pawn Stars - "I'll give you $1000 max, I'm taking a HUGE risk here"
Haha nice one 😂😂

RR's are cheapest after maybe 15-20 years, then they start going up in price again. But when you buy a Rolls Royce, it will generally outlive you and per year, it's pretty cheap. As for the pinstriping, it reminds me that Picasso's entry piece, submitted to get into art college, was a circle, perfect, drawn freehand.
Remember Rolls-Royce is not a car , it's a symbol of success
Imagine hitting one of these cars by accident and not having insurance
Chicken Person wouldn’t matter, they’d prob just shoo you off. And if you fake being injured well-enough, they might even pay you off
What if I hit it in my big huge State snow plow truck would it be built good enough for 700,000 to withstand that?
Search up the incident where some dude crashed into Kris Jenner's Rolls Royce. TMZ interviewed the man who crashed her, and I believe he didn't have car insurance. I'm pretty Sure Kris Jenner left him homeless.
Imagine me hanging myself, cause that's exactly what I'd do.
Never has a comment made me have a micro panic attack until today. Shit.
I had rust crushed into my paint. I also had multiple holes in my roof to display stars at night and a shower head during rainstorms. I spared no expense.
did you have a flat tire too? to stimulate the life of a noble riding a horse pulled carriage
@@sskype2000 WONDERFUL, KELVIN! I'll get right on it!
What about some nice air conditioning through those roof holes during blizzards? That ought to be nice too!

Take away your windshield completely, you'll have the feeling of being on a windy day all day long
Absolutely breathtaking car 😍
I've never cared about a luxury car. Scuffed at the idea as I love track cars and drift cars. Never thought I saw a single luxury car that justified its price, until now. That, is impressive. Now I actually want one, jeez.
I have just calculated i will have to work for 800 years in order to save enough money to buy one of these cars
And by then, they’ll cost a lot more!
